The Switchcast is amazing and has built up a wonderful community of Nintendo aficionados. While I listen to a few other video games podcasts, I appreciate KC & JV’s individual tastes that have introduced me to a whole slew of interesting games that the other shows don’t cover. Two friendly voices, familiar and comforting. Love this podcast. Something about fall and winter seasons makes me want to listen to these two. Like a seasonal treat. I can binge all of the episodes that I missed over the spring and summer. Can not recommend enough.

I been listening to this podcast for about a year now and I love listening to these guys about the Nintendo Switch and hear the upcoming games.

I have been listening for around a year now (I think?) and I honestly love the show and especially the community in the discord. The hosts (KC and JV) are friendly, calm, and just nice to listen to. Topics are interesting and the conversation is lively. As for the community (specifically in the discord) it is wonderful. Everyone is nice and great to talk to, and there being so many people in the discord there are always people to play games with or just chat with. Over all 15/5 podcast, highly recommend, is worth your time and has a wonderful community.

This is one of my favorite podcasts! I’ve tried a few of the other gaming podcasts but you don’t get the enthusiasm or overall general knowledge KC and JV have of the publishers, developers and genre of the topics they talk about. If you enjoyed games as a kid and still dabble when you get time to pick up a controller then I highly recommend this podcast. Weekly releases and games that are spotlighted and discussed help me sift through what I want to add to my personal collection. I listen to this podcast during my workday so “thank you” to these guys for making my day go by a little faster. CHECK THEM OUT!

This is a great show. KC and JV are hilarious and their genuine excitement for all things Switch is very refreshing. Even the simplest games seem to bring them joy and they bring that joy to us through the podcast and the amazing community that has grown around it. I use them to help me decide what games to buy, and the discord to connect with other people playing those games. In my day to day life I’m the only person I know who has a switch, so it’s great to have a community and podcast that lets me connect to other switch players around the world. Thank you, Switchcast!

This podcast is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to internet gaming and online communities. KC and JV are excellent hosts that take a more level-headed approach to their discussions and reviews. Their passion definitely shines through in the podcast, but you can tell that they're a very thoughtful and considerate, all the while being entertaining through and through.

I'm not one to write podcast reviews, but this podcast strikes a perfect balance of professional insights and friendly/fun discussions. The podcast duo of KC and JV have differing philosophies when approaching games, and it really brings up interesting points while they explore the latest news and game releases for the Switch. Tried exploring other Nintendo podcasts, but all the others were either too droll or too unprofessional.

Look, there’s a lot of bad things happening out there in the world, and there’s a lot of people putting out negativity because you don’t like the same things, so when you find a podcast that sounds like the hosts genuinely smile as they talk, it’s something to take note of. JV And KC consistently bring warmth, happiness, and shared love of gaming and nerdery every week. There are many podcasts that talk about news and reviews, but not many actively engage their community with so many competitions and meet ups as this one does. Certain episodes of special note are the Christmas episodes with the fireside chat, and the April Fools Day episode- I’m still bitter about it not being a real thing

Overall the podcast is pretty good. I like listening to the cast. My only negative is that there is no Time stamp of when they talk about different topics. Sometimes I just want to skip the introduction and common talk and listen to the main topic of the podcast. It’s a personal preference but I see other gaming podcast have time stamps and it really helps.

I finally decided to review the show after putting it off many a episode. It looks like I am the 300th reviewer. But my opinion is brief, this is a great podcast that consistently puts out good content. I have learned so much about the hosts that I feel like I know them.

I enjoy tuning in for the podcast each week. Always upbeat and positive. Covers news, brings good discussion, and often in-depth on less popular genre games that I wouldn't hear about.

Hands down the best podcast for all things Nintendo Switch related. KC and JV are relatable and I find myself impatiently waiting for the next episode to get released every week.

It gives me a bunch of things to look forward to and has the best hosts.👍

This is one of the best podcasts for Nintendo Switch. The hosts normally play different games to discuss on each episode, and they are talked about in-depth. They ask each other interesting questions that really helps facilitate discussion as well.

I was looking for tips/game recommendations and I stumbled on this podcast. It caught my attention because it is geared towards Switch specifically. I listened to a few podcasts and I was hooked. I even went back and listened to almost every episode (have about 2 remaining). KC and JV are awesome guys who give great advice/opinions on everything Switch related. I have been welcomed to the Discord chat/SwitchCast commmunity with open arms. Now I just need to up my Pokken skills to be able to face KC.

This has got to be one of the best communities to be a part of. Hosts KC and JV have built a podcast and brought together a slew of people into an open and friendly place. I’ve been listening to these guys for about 9 months and really enjoy their discussions. They don’t always come at game reviews in the same way as the big guys, but that’s not a bad thing. It genuinely feels like a couple of friends just chatting about all things Nintendo Switch. Keep it up!

I known KC for sometime now, I believe back when he was doing more Pokemon meetups and podcasts, but he really made a mark on himself with his Switchcast podcast. Even before the Switch came out, the Switchcast podcast is very enjoyable to switch down and listen to while on your commute home, studying, taking your daily shower in the morning, you know your usual routine They start the show with reviews, and usually KC would of course review the big name titles, but he's known for reviewing the more obscure games as well. Just recently, he reviewed an addicting multiplayer game call SpiritSphere DX. Follow that up with news, upcoming games and release dates, and basically a "OH GOD I WISH THIS GAME COMES ON THE SWITCH PLEASE PLEASE" segment (it's not call that trust me) While I haven't meant JV himself yet, I have met KC in the past, thanks to his monthly Switchfest that he throws the first Thursday of the month down at Rocafeller (previously at the Citifield area) and they both seem like very enjoyableable people. You can tell by their voice and attitude that they both enjoy the company of their fans, and they enjoyable playing whatever new game is out, or just chat about almost anything. All in all, I reccomend The SwitchCast, unlike the Nintendo Power podcast, these guys upload on a weekly basis, have a Discord chat full of endearing people, and they are always up to date on Nintendo Switch news and updates The SwitchCast gets an Applejack, out of ten

I didn't realize how much I needed this show in my weekly routine until they took one week off (their first in the past 1.5 years I've been listening). KC and JV bring in relevant discussions about all that's going on in the Nintendo Switch world, and they get some great interviews with the developers, asking not just the usual questions about their games, but they talk about the culture of gaming and where the Switch is going in the future. By the end, I feel like I know more about the people behind these titles. I love it! I actually signed up to support them on Patreon, because they do so much to keep the good times rolling with the most active and welcoming Discord community, tournaments, and prizes that rain from the sky if you participate!

They reviewed picked rumble for an hour and a half. It’s a 5 minute topic at best. You repeated the same 3 points 100 times.

Do you love gaming? Do you have a switch? Are you a fan of Nintendo and their sometimes bizarre business decisions? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you should be a subscriber to Switch Cast. The two gentlemen who create this podcast are dedicated to putting out new shows consistently and frequently. But is it good? Yes, yes, yes. This show runs the gamut from old games to new games to accessories, kickstarters and gaming history. It is entertaining, informative, amusing and sometimes surprising and revealing. The hosts put in 100% in every show and I appreciate that greatly. They are insightful and knowledgable and often help to open my mind to games I would not otherwise consider. They are also very helpful in easing the pain of waiting for the game that I bought the switch for, Fire Emblem (not the Dynasty wars clone either, I am disgusted that Nintendo foisted that on us as if it would supplant the release of a real fire emblem game). Come on. Over and over one of the guys will say Mario in some weird way. I’m not big on people saying things certain ways at all. None of the other game sites (major or minor) say it that way. With all the other podcasts I have and can’t possibly listen to it’s best to just not hear a chalkboard scratched every time one of these guys says Meow Ri O.

KC and JV are two guys that I feel like I'm hanging out with every time I listen. The discord is also very fun! I love checking in everyday for news, someone to play with, or just to have fun conversations. If you're looking for a Nintendo podcast look no further than this! I would also encourage everyone to join the discord, it's really fun.

These two dudes truly love Nintendo, even more than I do, and my love of Nintendo is second only to my love of God and country. This isn’t a exciting podcast filled with energetic sound bites and intense music cues, it’s just two positive dudes talking warmly and passionately about something they love. I think it’s what America needs. The world is such a decisive negative place but KC and JV don’t live in it. They live above it. Keep up your unflappable positivity, boys. It’s contagious. Someday the whole world might catch it and than all things will be at peace.

Switchcast is your gamer family that you never had!! This podcast has bring lots of people together, and the best thing about it is the family friendly. JV and KC are super awesome and bring you a weekly show full of switch related stuff!

Lots of video game podcasts are just a little too full of “man-child pride” on one end, and little too “lewd gamer troll” on the other. But KC & JV are actually pretty stable and likable adults who know how to embrace all the fun of the Nintendo Switch, without being total dorks about it. And I don’t know what alchemy they used to pull this off, but they’ve managed to build a whole community of Nintendo fans that are completely on the same page. It’s amazing! Can’t recommend listening enough!
