No ton of fun
I know money is important but this podcast is so ridden with commercials I have just lost interest.

Commercials are Intolerable
I get it, there need to be some commercials, but I had to stop listening, the number is intolerable, I like the show but this is too much, I had to stop listening.

Great series!
Very interesting deep dive into the cookbook creation. Dan maybe next time don’t interview your family, they seem to like to drag you down.

More Sohla and Ham please!
Title says it all. They are the best!

I need more Sohla and Ham!!!
Sohla and Ham, I love history and food, and the way you have mixed the two, with dashes of humor is genius! I love you two!

Such a delightful podcast!
I’ve loved hearing the journey to the Anything’s Pastable cookbook, especially Dan’s kids hilarious answers and how much they make him laugh. A real delight!

I look forward to each new episode. Dan obvious love of what he’s do is infectious. His laughter is a delight. Every episode I learn new and interesting things about food and food related things. Thank you Dan and everyone at The Sporkful.

Big Fan of Sohla and Ham’s
Once I heard Sohla and Ham had a podcast I went and binged them all in two days. Greatly informative and well done. I hope they get another season and a YouTube channel.

LOVE Deep Dish
I have loved Sola and Ham for a while, so listening to this show was an obvious choice. They did NOT disappoint. I can’t wait to make this show a part of my regular podcast rotation. ♥️

Annoying ads
The ads for deep dish are so bad. I have never skipped forward so fast. No one needs to hear about this show seven times in one podcast. I’m going to not listen to this just because of the ad.

Deep Dish needs a different feed
Love Dan and his pod, but I find Sohla and Ham to be snooty and insufferable (I know, sue me). Weirdly insensitive storytelling in the Delta Tamale episode re: two gruesome, tragic deaths. Don’t think they were prepared as journalists to tackle that with appropriate tact.

Sohla and Ham!! Great addition to the feed
I’ve been a loyal listener to The Sporkful for years now, but I’ve been so pleased with the addition of two new voices to the feed. The Deep Dish show on this feed is hosted by the dynamic wife and husband duo of Sohla and Ham El-Waylly. They are so funny and talented as is showcased on YouTube (History channel, NYT Cooking, and the formerly great—though ultimately thoroughly exploitative—BA test kitchen channel). I’ve listened to the first two episodes and it’s great hear these two in a new format. Fans will love their familiar banter while being impressed with the story telling chops. I hope this becomes a regular addition to the Sprokful family.

Used to really enjoy
Something changed. I used to really enjoy the content and guests. Dan was engaging and entertaining. We listened intently and were curious as Dan navigated his way to create his own pasta shape. Then…..as in a movie script where the plot falls apart….so did Sporkful. We kept hoping the episodes would get back to a focus rather than banter that goes nowhere. My husband and I really did enjoy listening but gave up after too many wasted episodes. Too bad.

The Sporkful covers everything about food that other food podcasts aren't covering.

Heh hah heh
Nice content, but The host has a chortle that is probably unconscious, but can be really annoying. Listen back to some shows, and be more aware of making good radio. This seems to be an issue on a lot of podcasts..
Oh,please
A favorite in my library!
The Appalachian Trail episode was great! I look forward to every episode! Well done! This podcast is informative, creative and fun! The recent vintage scotch episode was both incredibly produced with the closing song but also very touching! Also a big fan of cascatelli!

So fun!
Interesting, funny, and often heartfelt and poignant with some complex discussions

Took a turn…
I love the interesting content about food… I think the host does a great job at telling food’s stories… however, I’m sick of how many episodes put down ‘white Europeans’. I’m sure many people of all colors and backgrounds don’t have a clue about the authentic ways of Korean cooking, but Dan singles out white people? You’re trying too hard to be woke.

Best food podcast
This is by far the best food podcast out there. Dan’s commitment to putting the spotlight on diverse chefs and other folks in the food industry and breaking down stereotypes about foodies being pretentious is unmatched. Thank you, Dan!

Jumping the Shark
Unfortunately Sporkful has. Wish it weren’t so but this shoe now sound more like AM radio, the advertising out paces the content in both air minutes and volume it seems. Not sure if it’s a production value or a pursuit of income, but I no longer want to hear the shilling.

Boring
Host is a jerk and it’s boring tbh. Some episodes are good ig but it’s being carried by the guests..

Cincinnati born and raised
I grew up in Cincinnati and remember my grandmother taking us to The Gormet Room and Pigall’s restaurants. As an young adult, I remember going to The Maisonette with my husband. Amazing food at all three places.

Overalll 5 starts - great show, but…
The last episode, 1 star. It was a very compelling subject that was almost impossible to listen to due to his guest. I almost turned it off multiple times. In my opinion, he does not have a voice for radio.

Delightful!
I heard an episode featured on another pod and HAD to check it out. I love the variety of topics, and Adam is a great host! I’m hooked.

Amazing podcast!!!!
Please do more true crime-type episodes. The one you did was so interesting and one of my favorites!

Great podcast
So much fun to listen to! I enjoy how there are a mix of fun and thoughtful episodes. My only suggestion is that I wish you would state if an episode is a repeat. Most shows do and it would be nice to know before listening if it’s a repeat or new material.

Too many ads
It would be a great show if it had fewer/shorter ads

Texas?
Why are you supporting travel to Texas. Not cool.

LOVE this podcast
Been a fan for a while and I now ONLY eat cascatelli. I have never reviewed the podcast before but felt compelled to after being completely enthralled and mystified during 2 chefs and a lie! Thanks for the laugh out loud on my way home from work and for all the great content you put out!
HEY I LIKE MUSIC!!!
Great show, but …
I really like this show but I have to stop listening because Pashman shills for the State of Texas, the most unfriendly state in the nation to women, immigrants and poor people. They boast one of the worst education records and the worst mass shootings. Pashman made enough money with his pasta. He shouldn’t be taking money from haters and fear mongerers to make more money. It’s disgraceful. I like the show but I can’t listen to this crap. So goodbye Dan. Just wondering, how do you sleep at night? And what do your wife and daughter think about you boosting for the worst state in the nation?

I love the Sporkful but…
I can no longer listen to it because Texas is advertised as a wonderful vacation place instead of the racist, sexist, environmental joke of a state. I have been a Sporkful listener for over a decade but I can’t listen to Dan rhapsodize over a state who’s politician work against all decency. I grew up there and would not go back for the world or support any of their companies. I will miss The Sporkful and the man who my partner said “is his only real competition” but I will sleep better at night.

STOP WITH TEXAS
I love this show, I’ve listened to every episode. It’s appealing to anyone who likes food and pop culture. It’s funny and smart. East listening for a drive or work day. Recently I’ve been hearing TEXAS state commerce and tourism ads. I understand the need to sell the show, but given the horrific crimes against women and children happening in TEXAS, the ads disgust me.

One of the best!
Dan Pashman does an incredible job exploring the stories and tales of food in a unique in an entertaining way. On the top of my podcast rotation (although he’s wring about angel hair pasta)

I love this podcast! Dan has a winning personality, great voice, interesting subjects! Also! I love his cascatelli pasta! Finally found a bag to buy and try! I’ve already gone back to get more! All around good guy!

Taste is off.
At first fun & interesting, this show is reaching, losing its original focus. Are shallots b.s.? why cater (!?) to numb listeners with no kitchen cred? I bet they are listening, though. Francis Lamb invited to trash bucatini and the thought the world needs a new pasta shape, mama mia! Get to Italy and have fregula, malloreddus/maccheroni ferretto, or strangozzi. To rethink or reinvent...la gran tradizione Italiano is beyond it... che coglioni! Dan is fun host, but serious food students will be disappointed. Meh.

Fine ig..:
This podcast is not what it used to be. No hate whatsoever but this show has changed from a mainly food based podcast that was fun and exciting to listen to… and now it’s just stressful! Some of these topics can really stress people out and that’s not what this podcast is for. If you want to talk about news and such that would be great hit don’t advertise this as a food podcast!! Would still listen just no false advertising!! It’s sad when I think I’m going to get some delicious recepies and food tips but I get stressful world topics!! 😭 still not hate | (• ◡•)|

Oof
First time listener. Can’t get past the fake laugh tracks. This is supposed to be a podcast, not a sitcom. Takes away from the genuine responses of the interviewee I think. They want to be taken seriously
