I take Tina on my runs
When I run outside, I need something to listen to that will keep me focused and motivated. Music does it, depending on how it matches with my movements but I find that having someone talking to me is my best resource for a solid run. Every time I run outside, I listen to Tina Muir’s Running for Real podcast. Tina provides a guided run for 30, 45 and 60 minutes that makes you feel as if she running alongside you. Sometimes, she is running with fellow runners at a pre-marathon shakeout run and sometimes, she is running solo and sharing something deep. But no matter what she is talking about on the run, she makes me feel like I want to be my best running self.

Community Voices!!!
This is one of my favorite podcasts by one of my favorite humans! A variety of topics, incredible voices, shared lived experiences, opportunities to learn something new, and uplifting so many community voices. Keep up the heart work.

Running together and RED-S!
These are a wonderful addition to music for line runners out there. Feels casual and interesting. I also learned a lot looking into her work in RED-S. I’m definitely going to listen and run weekly! The weird negative reviews are obviously trolls. Maybe they need to Joe Rogan running podcast….

Highly recommend!
I never thought I’d like the idea of a together run but first time I tried I was hooked. Tina is super personable, down to earth, thoughtful. It really feels like running with a good friend. Highly highly recommend!

I appreciate this podcast!
As someone who runs alone 99% of the time, the together runs are wonderful to listen to and participate in. They feel as though you’re running with a friend and the miles pass right by. For the Friday shows, I enjoy listening and learning from the diversity of guests and topics all with running as the backdrop theme. It’s never bad to listen to other points of views, you can always learn something and keep moving forward. The quality of the production of this podcast is outstanding. Thank you all the work on it!

Running activism?
This podcast is no longer for me, but that’s only one reason to remove a star. Minus one star because the podcast needs a new name. It at least needs an updated mission statement. This podcast is Tina’s personal PC soapbox with a side conversation about running. I hate labeling things as “woke,” but it fits here. Minus another star because of the ads. I understand podcasts need sponsors, but Tina’s painfully slow and rambling descriptions of her sponsor’s products last MINUTES and I’m going to wear out the skip button on my phone. The content is great if you want to consume your progressive activist liberal agenda under the guise of a running podcast, but I don’t.

Tina is woke
Tina is focused less on running lately and more on being “woke”. Her focus is more on critical race theory, non binary people, etc.

Awesome!
I love your podcast!! The podcasts are very informative and Tina does a great job helping the guests relax and tell their stories. A wonderful way to get to know the guests and subject material! This remains the best podcast in its category. I have listened for years and really enjoy the podcast!! Thanks Tina!

Great motivation to get back into running
I’ve been running for a long time but the pandemic has sapped my motivation. I recently discovered the run together episodes and I’m loving it. Makes the miles fly by and helps me feel more connected. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Thank you!
Not your average running podcast for sure! This podcast is a candid conversation with you and the host- which in my opinion is so much better than throwing a bunch of info at you! I have used her Run With Me episodes on my long runs and they have really helped me to slow down and be in tune with my body and mind! I recently ran a half marathon which was built into a full marathon training plan and I used her St Louis half episode to really set the tone for my run! I had been saving that episode and I’m so glad I did!!!

Disconnect between guests and commercials
Just listened to episode 272. Interview was fantastic. However, it was very off-putting to interrupt the segment on sustainable purchasing for a Tracksmith commercial. Take the opportunity instead to acknowledge that there is absolutely no reason what we all can’t all wear our old t-shirts or thrift store finds. Give that a shout-out, just this one time! I get that Tracksmith is a better than average company. What’s better? Not buying new stuff. Talk up Tracksmith in other shows if you must; in this case, it undermined the message of the whole show.

Grateful Solo Runner
I’ve been running solo for most of my running journey. I listened to my first run together episode today and it was a game changer. It really felt like running with a partner and it made a real difference on my run. I look forward to listening to the previous runs and look forward to the new. Thanks Tina.

A great running podcast
Tina asks such great questions on this podcast. Also, the recently added Together Runs have been inspiring and motivating. She is a real class act and I look forward to listening to Running for Real each week- sometimes twice a week!

Awareness
Great method to stay in touch with your body and be aware of its changes from the beginning to middle and end of a run

Together Runs for Real
The concept of together runs is new to me and perhaps unique to podcasts in general. I find them extremely enjoyable on my solo, 0600 early morning runs. I especially enjoy when Tina just tells us a story or shares what is going on in her life. As simple as that may seem, I enjoy the insight it provides to a fellow runner’s life. When that person is a former elite runner, mother, soon-to-be author, and passionate environmentalist, it only adds to the interest. It really does feel like you are running with another person.

Always learning
I have learned so much for this podcast. Not just about running, it about the world and things I never thought I would care about. I feel like my mind has been moved towards being more curious about the events of the world and how I can make an impact

I absolutely LOVE running with Tina every Monday. That is one of my most enjoyable runs of the week. Thank you, Tina!

Running Family
Tina has truly created a family with her podcast. I have not and probably will not meet any of my fellow runners who listen to her and who do the together runs, but I feel then running with me throughout the week and THAT is powerful in a time of isolation and uncertainty. Love to you all!

Great guided audio run with Tina
Loved my first guided run with Tina. It was a progression workout, really excellent. Kudos to Tina for recording so well as she ran. I only wish I could keep up with her fast footsteps! Tina’s run was fun, supportive and challenging. I like her style and accompaniment, which is more real than many of the guided runs on NRC. I look forward to further runs with Tina!

Love running with Tina
So grateful for the together runs with Tina. Usually the high point of my Monday. I did not read that today would be a workout so wasn’t really prepared but tried my best, thanks for the inspiration.

Highly recommend!
I have always been a music while I run person, but running with Tina is strangely relaxing and great for either the start of a long run or the whole time on a shorter run(under an hour). Her interviews are great but the run with Tina episodes are my favorite!

Really like the together run
I like the regular podcast too, but the together run is awesome!! Tina is great - so welcoming and non-judgmental, and encouraging.

Get Motivated
I started running regularly during the pandemic and this podcast has been perfect for a beginning but committed runner like me. The Together Runs that post each Monday in which Tina narrates a run of 30, 45 or 60 minutes are super motivating and help the time pass quickly and pleasantly.

Great listen
I LOVE the together runs! Tina does amazing check-ins and every run feels like a meditation - I’ve been search big for a guided running meditation! So glad to have found this. Please keep the 60 min runs coming!!! 🤗 I love the longer runs as I’m training for my first marathon. ☀️

Running for Real
Tina always has interesting guests on her podcast, with fun and thoughtful conversations. And I absolutely love the Running with Tina spots. Just finished the 60-minute run. Really needed the company today and loved hearing about the trails at Ferris State. Please continue the 60-minute runs.

Love the Guided Runs! 😊
Did the 60 min guided run today—- was perfect on a hot day when I needed some grounding and an extra boost! Please keep doing the 60 min runs. When they pop up I’ll take them as a sign to increase my usual 45 min Monday run to 60 😁! Thanks for all you do for the running community Tina!!

Guided Runs
I absolutely love the guided runs with Tina! I run mostly solo so it feels like you always have an experienced runner right beside you. I hope you keep doing this!!

Refreshingly real
I have listened to Tina’s podcasts back from when she was a part of runnersconnect, and have always appreciated the way she interacts with the listeners. She makes it feel like she is talking to ME, and appreciating the “everyday runner”. I listened to her first guided run today (I walked- recovering from a brutal half marathon) and it felt like she was right next to me. Well done, Tina and team. I love the guided runs

Together Runs
I am really enjoying these workouts!! I love the way Tina talks to us during these runs!! She has us to “check in” with ourselves as we are running! This suggestion helps us be really be aware of ourselves and our surroundings. Tina will ask specifically different parts of your body to scan, and identify how they feel. I love listening to the rhythm of her feet hitting the pavement as it is almost meditating to me to listen to that sound, like a heartbeat. I love the striders Tina has incorporated into these sessions! This is new to me and I am excited to see how these help me progress in my personal goals of achieving that next PR.I can’t say enough about these sessions and am so happy I found this podcast!! Thank you so much, Kim

Love the Guided Runs!
Please do more of the “Run with Me” series. I do not like to run with others in part because I use the run/walk method, but I love the companionship these podcasts provide. I hope you will make these a permanent feature on the show.

Should Be Called Political For Real
This was a decent podcast before Tina decided to start forcing Climate Change and Social Justice garbage down the listener’s throat. If you buy into that stuff, then you will probably enjoy this podcast now. If not, then don’t bother. Running is a secondary topic now. There are better podcasts for running.

Interesting topics
I like the contents and some the experts on this podcast but Tina is terrible on the commercials . She talks and repeating herself so much . Just get to the point and stop unnecessary talking/explaining.

Fantastic episode
Tina’s recent episode with Alison Staples is among my favorite interviews that she has conducted. Alison was an inspiring, interesting guest and Tina’s interview was thought-provoking and sensitive. I always enjoy the Running For Real discussions and this episode was truly special!

Relaxed...
The relaxed atmosphere of the podcast and the familiar interactions between Tina and the guests is great. I would say about 80% of the podcast or useful in the other 20% I just skip over. That’s less than any other podcast I listen to. The mixture of psychologist and runners is good and both have great insights. I enjoy the podcast immensely!

Excellent podcast on life with some running mixed in!
Love this podcast because it is not only running talk, but always includes guests that share lessons and experiences that have defined and developed their ongoing journey in life. Definitely not just running talk, but so much more.

WOW!
First, I am new to your podcast family, and I absolutely LOVE it! I love the times of the day that I go for a “just me walk,” leaving my 7 year old pup at home, and walk just for me. This is when I listen to this podcast! Thank you for your message and guests! I LOVED this episode, and am currently watching episode 5 of the worlds toughest race! I am hooked! THANK YOU, Tina!

I really enjoyed listening to this episode. I know so many woman who deal with endometriosis 😢. I was listening to this podcast during my long run this morning (20 miler) to get ready for an upcoming marathon. This is the furthest I have ever run at one time. I knew if would hurt, just not sure when. When Laytoya said she was sitting during the interview with a pain of 3-4 I thought “I WILL NOT complain. I will NOT stop short.” Thank you Laytoya for pulling so many things into perspective today. I admire you! Thank you Tina for bringing Laytoya on to share her story!

Political Podcast, not running
Perhaps this needs to be categorized as a political opinion podcast rather than running or fitness.
