I have thought about this podcast a lot since I heard it first - back in the day. I’m about to dive in again because I need to hear “The great undiscovered project” unfold. Enjoy.

This podcast got me through a very difficult time in my life with some wonderful storytelling that transported me away from my reality. Even over a decade later, I am now returning to it at another difficult time. Thank you for making this content available even now, when I need it the most.

This podcast ended a while ago, sadly. (Not that PFT hasn’t been doing many excellent things instead, but there is nothing quite like this that I am aware of) I love it so much I keep re-listening. If I found out he started this back up it might make my year. I’m about to start round...5, maybe? It’s a relaxing podcast, with humor throughout. Great for bedtime , or just winding down, if’n you find yourself wound. “Eban, that music.. is making me...anxious” is a quote I think of and smile about OFTEN. (Ep24 @ aprox 1:00:00) Love this show.

For me, this was the first podcast, and it is the one to which I compare all other podcasts. Since none have been exactly the same as this one, they are all not as good.

Very enjoyable

I just found this pod and soooo happy I did! I have listened to this nonstop during my work day and I will repeat a whole episode sometimes because I loved it so much. I don’t want it to end but I also don’t want to listen to anything else. Eban is a perfect bonus!

This is my favorite PFT podcast because of how much he talks randomly in the beginning. His humor makes me so happy and makes my day. I like the different segments but the beginning and end are the best! PFT keep doing all that you do- you are the best!

I would be so chuffed

I listened to all the episodes (because I’m a completist) over the space of a couple months. It’s very stream-of-conciousness in some parts, interviewy in some parts, and scripty in others. I enjoyed the recipes and the turn by turn navigation features very much. Tompkins does some good impressions, but not Frank Gorshin good. Also, he gets a little preachy about Skynet. If you need some free entertainment, this is that. You could listen to much worse. Also, FREE EBAN SCHLETTER. Enjoy.

Paul F. Tompkins is the funniest human on the face of God's green Earth. Do yourself a favor and listen to anything that has his name on it.

That's right! A new season is coming in 2014 - he said so! I read a thing. I look forward to going back in time and finding out what became of all the hilarious people. What will happen? Only time, from before, already told! Being in 2017, I can only assume that whatever happened, it was all Damon's fault.

You should only listen to this podcast if you would like your life to be better. Otherwise, this will not suit you. 6.5/5 stars

The Pod F Tompkast has many highlights, just a few to mention would be Paul's monologue at the beginning, his banter, and his introduction to the episode. After that, various things happen in each episode but one thing always to tune into is The Great Undiscovered Project -- this is a segment Paul has every episode in which he creates a story using his own characters each week. It's very interesting to see where it goes, and beyond that it's a joy to hear the podcast each week. Whether it's Paul's various segments or guests, or his calls with his good friend Jen Kirkman -- this is an all around great podcast. It may be an old one, but it's one of the best out there, and only proved Paul is one of the best.

This podcast may have made me laugh out loud more than any other. Listening to the opening BEEP-BOOP-BAP's of the internet always soothed me whenever I would start a new episode. It can get pretty bizzaro at times, for sure. But overall, there are some comedy gems peppered throughout the episodes of The Tompkast. Eban is great on piano, and Paul's riffs on whatever random subject are so hilarious. Give it a listen!

This is one of the best podcasts that I have ever listened too. Paul's stream of consciousness monologues (my favorite part) with Eban's underscoring are amazing. I only wish that I had discovered this sooner. Please Paul and Eban give us more! What else are we do to late night on the Internet.

This podcast is the second best thing I've put in my ears. The best thing, is a cotton swab when my inner ear itches. Paul F Tompkins is a comedic genius. His ramblings never cease to amaze, and the sketches are spot on! I do, however, miss the Social Networking Son Of The South. What ever became of him? I wonder if he went on to bigger and better things. Repairing fan-boats? Hearing crimes go on a Bear-Cat Scanner? Wherever you are, you are the hero we need and deserve. God bless you.

It's pretty boring.

Yeah, he's great. This show is amazing. I know I'm late to the party, but I just started listening and I can't stop. PFT is so awesome. This podcast is way better than the tomahawk I just bought, that's for sure. Also, a woman has never played the pan flute. All in all, this podcast is like a friend who helps me forget my crumbles.

First of all, Eban Shletter is an extremely talanted and knowledgable composer who matches the tone of this podcast and Paul F. Tompkins' new podcast Spontaneanation hosted on Earwolf. Just wanted to let it be known that he has brought me a great deal of joy with all of the music he makes. Nevertheless, this podcast is great if not only for the consistently hilarious rambling on done by host Paul F. Tompinks before and in between segments. Also, Comedy Bang Bang fans will be pleased to hear that almost all of his characters from there show up throughout this podcast ensuring that you will in fact remain entertained. You must be one of these people who goes around getting drunk and fighting everyone. You probably voted for NOT US. You're probably one of these weirdos that think "region" means something that has nothing to do with whale suicide! You probably love our sentient pillow overlords and do their bidding gladly! Paul, I heard you on PYHT, and I was very moved by your frankness about what you were going through. After my divorce, I used to hang out at old Largo at Jon Brion's shows and sat at the bar and befriended Ellen, so your story of your pivotal night seriously resonated with me. I hope you're hanging tough. The Tompkast has been a real blessing, and I hope you return to it when you're ready. Thanks for all the years of smart, funny entertainment.

I love Paul F. Tompkins’ brain, and this show is basically him vomiting his brain into your ears. I regret having Columbus’d Mr. Tompkins so recently that I hadn’t the opportunity to hear this show during its run, but perhaps it is for the best as I can sit and laugh at the poor saps who had to wait through the long breaks to which Mr. Tompkins refers occasionally.

Listening to the Pod F. Tompkast remains one of my favorite things, years after I first stumbled upon it. This podcast serves as a cultural touchstone for me, and, when prompted by mildly inquisitive strangers, consistently serves as one of the foremost examples of those things which I consider to be among my "interests".
