I miss this podcast :(

Great videogame podcast that is the precursor to "Glitch Please", but superior thanks to a limited time frame. Like "Glitch Please", the hosts are entertaining & informative and clearly love videogames. However, staying in a set hour time frame keeps the conversations dynamic without getting dull. Once "Glitch Please" does this, it will on par with "The Patch".

I hope they retool this soon. I don't go on reddit or gaming news sites so Facebook and roosterteeth are my go to for info.

If anyone out there is similar to me, sometimes you get tired of the hyperbole from most other gaming podcasts. The Patch is a refreshing take on the formula. They don't exaggerate. They aren't unfair to differing viewpoints. They won't discuss a games flaws without equally describing its strengths. Gus, Ryan, Ashley, and others are respectful to the medium while also showing a significant depth of knowledge. This is the type of gaming discussion which others should emulate. Not only is it good natured, but somehow they can make the topics entertaining even if you have no interest in the content itself. I have spent hours listening to the banter and discussions. It is the panel of hosts that keep the show as great as it is. Each person brings another form of genius to the group. Unfortunately, the show is going on hiatus starting in 2017 to be 'retooled'. It saddens me that we will be losing this for a time and I hope others out there are as big a fan as I am. I pray that it returns in a stronger way than ever before.

Want to hear someone slurp a drink then download this piece of crap. I urge everyone to stop being a sponsor for RT and instead go watch the ragaholic on YT.

I hate to be "that guy" but while I normally love this podcast, the fact that they were eating their sponsor's food directly into the mic's on episode 173 was disgusting. Yes, I like nature box too. No, I don't want to hear someone else eat it.....

Interesting and thought-provoking conversations when they aren't talking about VR tech 40% of the time. I'm here for the game discussions, not Oculus and Vive.

Consistently funny and insightful

Commercials =sell out. If you don't mind them pimping crap then all you have to do is deal with girly voices that are not suited for audio.

They spoiled a lot of games and they don't care,they don't cut it or warning the listeners before it.

One of the best gaming podcasts

The patch is one of my favorite gaming podcasts ever. The RT team knows exactly what they are talking about when it comes to gaming. I respect their opinions more than most other podcasts. The production value is superhigh and the flow of the conversation is impeccable.

Easily my favorite podcast. Gus, all the hosts, and Gus, are entertaining, enlightening and often very eloquent. That alliteration shows how much I care. Seriously when you're in the bathroom going "Crap. Is Serial really doing that every other week thing?" You should download the Patch. But wash your hands first.

1st Enjoy the show one of the better ones out there, top 10 in my book 2nd Thought I would update my review since its been over 6 months. Well the show gets better with each episode, funny good chemistry, still enjoying the show. Has moved into my top 5, keep it up.

Great mix of information and comedy makes for a great hour (or slightly more) of listening each week.

if you're a fan of Roosterteeth this is up your alley, with talks of games and almost everything related to it.

Gus, Meg, Ryan, Ashley, and everyone else who join the podcast do an excellent job. The group make the drive to work or the chores at home so much better. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.

Amazing

This is a comedy podcast. It's nice I used to listen to it a bit but tuned out because I didn't have the time and roster teeth is funnier and there are better options for gaming information. It tries to get both audiences but ends middle ground all together. If you like rooster teeth and need some mid road game info it's ok but if not it's not super great.

I've been listening to this podcast for a couple of years now. Finally I've been able to look away from this car crash of a show. Constant misinformation, corrected instantly by people on Twitter, is thrown out throughout the show. I find myself saying in my head "I don't think that's correct" more than a couple times per episode. Also, the way they talk about games makes me feel like they don't play half the things they say they've played. Vague statements about games they've "played" comes off as trying to sound more informed than they really are. No one can play everything. You don't have to say you have.

Fantastic game freeform podcast.

The Fallout 4 episode was the straw that broke the camels back for me. The team at rooster teeth going after Jeff Gerstman for the 3 out of 5 review; while they wore their pip boys that were sent from Bethesda for free. They seem very biased during most discussions, and the girl is just annoying on the show. As she talks so loud its yelling at times. Which is not fun if you're wearing headphones. Stay away from this one.

I feel like this podcast can be very good or very bad depending on the combination of hosts. Some hosts continuously come across as obnoxious and poorly informed while others know their stuff and facilitate good discussion. Often, they come across as being offended that game journalists have a differing opinion from them or were critical of a game they enjoy.

Everyone on this show defends all AAA titles and they never praise any indie games and just talk about how they're not worth the money

This group of circulating rt employees are far from afraid to speak their mind.

This podcast can be hilarious at times. But any time Ryan is on it just gets bad. He's not funny and quite frankly is not knowledgable about video games as a whole. Yet he still try's to talk about every game like he knows them.

love RT, but this podcast has become the meg podcast, she just kinda dominates the conversation and constantly talks over everyone. i think maybe if she just took a benedryl before the episode she would be fine.

This podcast seems like same as very other podcast. That being said there are something's that make you want to comeback from time to time to listen in.

You can't go wrong with this team of "experts" when it comes to video games. They may not always stay focused on games but they always make me laugh. Love you crazy guys and gals at RT.

One of the funniest and best podcasts out there

Great when Gus is there, at least 4 stars, terrible when he's not. Only suggestion I would have is to maybe have some other people on the show. Especially when Gus isn't there.

Video Game News. It's what they promise, and what they deliver. These hosts are always great and always tons of fun. They've also begun a sort of "video game book club" recently and I can't wait to see it evolve.

even though RT is biased, I love that they link you to their sources of everything. they talk about. I really like the inclusion of Ryan, since I feel like he is more at his element here than in sketches, and I like that the cast is flexible.

Pretty decent podcast. They have gotten a lot better on misinformation and being biased when it comes to Microsoft. However I find Meg to be obnoxious. I don't think she makes a good podcast personallity due to her loud high pitched voices and squeels. Find Ashely to be a lot more tolerable.

This is a fantastic audio version of video game notes. Thrown in are a good amount of jokes and viewpoints. I can't reccomend it enough.

Listen as a group of entertaining people discuss relevant events in video game news! As far as I can tell it is a very well rounded group with various opinions that deliver a virtually unbiased news source for gaming. Some jokes are insiders but anyone would enjoy this show!

The patch keeps us all up to date with the goings on in the gaming world, and is entertaining while doing this.
