I started listening to this podcast about three years ago and quickly became a fan! Alex and Krista make me feel like I’ve pulled up a chair to their conversation. Authentic, Binlical, and encouraging whether the topic is practical, lighthearted, or heavy. There’s hardly an episode that I don’t resonate with. A few highlights: The Soul of Shame with Dr. Curt Thompson, the “Raise Boys Change the World” series, and recently the Big Questions in Midlife with Dr. Kelly Flanagan.

While I love all your episodes I have especially enjoyed This Cultural Moment series. It is so applicable where we are all living today. I am digging deeper by reading some of your guests books and they are fabulous. Thank you! You might consider having Rick Green from Patriot Academy/WallBuilders Live on as a guest-they are doing fabulous work educating everyone on the meaning of Biblical Citizenship. 💜

I discovered the Open Door Sisterhood a couple of months ago after hearing Krista as a guest speaker on another podcast. The Open Door Sisterhood has quickly become my favorite podcast. I know that I’m always going to find practical advice that is Christ-centered without being preachy. I have shared so many episodes with friends and family. I’m loving the episodes on how to talk to our terms! I think as women in the current worldly views, there’s so much pressure for all teens but especially our girls. I’m a boy mom but worked with female adolescents for years and this is so important to just have frank, honest conversations while also giving them hope in who they are, who they’re called to be and what they can do to be confident in walking in their calling, purpose despite the worldly circumstances! I love learning from these two smart, relatable ladies who are walking a few years ahead of me in their season of life. The conversations are spot on with topics that add value to my life as I work to be a better version of mother, wife, and person.

Discussions have been mostly thoughtful & meaningful with a few too many instances recently of being lectured on the subject of diversity; and I don’t use the word ‘lectured’ lightly. It’s not because I am not thoughtful on that subject or unwilling to explore its significance, but literally cannot escape being told I am not “doing enough” to immerse my family in enough diversity to satisfy others opinions on my life.
