I stumbled upon this podcast right after a breakup and saw the Lysa TerKeurst podcast. Knowing that I loved her books, I randomly started the podcast while on a run. Man oh man, can I look back and see God’s kindness in bringing this podcast to my ears. Since that day I’ve listen to the past episodes and have kept up to date to this day (ask my boyfriend, he knows when it’s an every other Tuesday!). These podcasts have given me perspective and hope. In a job with a lot of time to think, I have been able to listen through these episodes and have been reminded of truth and raw life that Godly ladies live, amidst my fears and over thinking. I want to be Jenn Jewell’s BFF and you will want to be too. Please listen and experience God’s hope and kindness through these women’s stories!

This podcast has been life changing for me. I don’t have a lot of women in my circle who love the Lord to lead and guide me as a 29 year old. On days when I need some extra encouragement and a reminder that I am NOT alone in my mess...I always turn on an episode and am always left feeling immense peace & encouragement. Wherever you find yourself today...you NEED to listen to this podcast!!!

This is my favorite podcast of all time. I started it about a year or year and a half ago. I don't always have the time to listen to it as a mom, wife and student but I started from the very beginning and have listened to every episode in order. I love it. I recommend different episodes to different people if their situation relates to the one on the show. Every episode connects with me even if my situation does not relate to mine. I laugh, cry and say a couple "that's right" in every episode. It feels like I am right there in the room with Jenn and her guests. It's like a mentorship. I cannot wait to finish and be caught up. It truly is the most relatable and carefree podcast.

I find myself never missing an episode. I’m always left encouraged! Jesus is always at work within our mess. I love hearing testimony of how God is working all things out for our good and ultimately and above all for HIS GLORY! Thank you Jenn!!!

I don’t even know how I found the Messy Table but it had been in my podcast library for years and I had never listened to an episode. Then I saw the name Ali Bergin as one of the interviewees and though “surely not. Surely that’s not the SAME Ali Bergin I know.” I listened to Ali’s testimony and bawled! Ali was my first boss right out of college 20 years ago. She was pregnant then with her first child Sierra so that was right at or before one of those hard, dark times she went through. Ali taught me so much professionally but most important personally too. I have always wanted to be just like her when I grew up. I also went through a sad divorce that I didn’t want a few years later and didn’t understand why God would allow that to happen when I had done all the Christian things “right”. Fast forward I too have remarried a wonderful man and now see that as Ali put it perfectly, “Our picture perfect life isn’t God’s plan”. Thank you Ali for sharing your whole story - part of which I got to witness. And thank you for being someone I look up to - still 20 years later. Jennifer Hodgens

Jen, you have given me so much in these last few weeks! I love the women on your show! They are beautiful, godly women and God is using them in so many ways. Also the fact that your from my home state makes it all the better 🤩. I have started at ep. 1 and have moved through them in chronological order. On Monday 5/11/19 I was listening to an episode and you were talking about life church devotionals and sermons. So I downloaded the Life Church app and looked at Pastor Craig’s messages. I have been going through a long season that has been hard with my marriage so when I saw the series “The Vow”. I had been studying the Bible and praying because my marriage will not survive if we don’t do something different. I have been having a pull for quite a while and his message opened the door to this flooding of love, peace, joy, and HOPE!!!! I just want women that have been feeling like there lives are not what they want and they can’t seem to figure out why you don’t feel fulfilled...start listening. Start looking through the titles and see which one pulls at you. If you are willing, God will talk through these women! And also download the Life Church app and when something pulls, listen. Even if you aren’t pulled with this then God will pull you in another way but just be still and listen! He is a faithful God and he is and Graceful God! Jen I can’t wait to hear more and let you and other godly women guide my renewed heart and my New Flesh!

I have no doubt that finding this podcast was Divine Intervention. I was in a spiritually dry season in my life, praying for God to lead me to more women in my life to walk through the mess of life with. That same day while praying, God led me to search “Christian Women” on the iTunes podcast app and I found The Messy Table. About 10 mins into the first episode going all the way back to episode #1 I started to cry at God’s goodness. I didn’t think my prayer would be answered with virtual women I have never met, but these women have become a part of my life, have encouraged me, challenged me and helped me be a better women, wife, Christian and friend. Thank you Jenn Jewell for your faithfulness and taking that leap of faith. God is using you and your podcast for His good and glory! I listen everyday and it has become a part of my routine.

God sees where His world is hurting and through the messy table gives calmness and direction. I look forward to this podcast every other week and wish it was there more to give strength, guidance, hope, and Jesus. As I listened to The Messy Table I see that I am like Carol and had multiple miscarriages, like Mandy with a new chronic illness, like countless other they are mommas who are just trying to maintain balance, like Jennifer Cantrell who cared for dying parents, and like Jessica who was sexually, verbally, and physically abused. In their stories I see myself and it highlights the bold-faced lie that no one would ever understand me and I'm a weirdo in this world. That because of that I should just lay down and stop trying because I'm ineffective and spinning my wheels. A lie from Satan to keep us sidelined and keep us from bonding together with our shared experiences to become a force to be reckoned with in this world for the name is Christ!

This podcast has been food and water to my soul. I am a mental health therapist and I feel so supported, validated and encouraged when I listen to these episodes. It is such rich knowledge filled with Christ, His love and His word. Thank you. Each episode is truly life giving.

I loved listening to Molly Allen’s story, and I so appreciated her vulnerability and bravery in sharing with us. I would highly recommend that episode to anyone struggling with postpartum depression, depression, or suicidal thoughts or tendencies.
