Fitness and Health as I approach 60 years around the sun !
Yogabody and Lucas Rockwood has changed the way I look at fitness and health as I am approaching 60 years old this year. I have more energy ; I can actually feel my muscles in my body getting much stronger and I have way less pain in my body as a busy hairstylist of 35 years . I feel alive again and am excited about my new fitness journey ! Thanks Yogabody , I highly recommend them !

The Myofascial System Bookā€™s real author
The book called The Myofascial System in Form and Movement was not written by David Lesondak as Lucas (and David) claim. The book was written by Lauri Nemetz and the forward written by David. Shame on you for not giving proper credit to the author. By the way, it is she who you should have on your show. I know her, have been taught by her and she is brilliant and amazing! The real deal. Unfortunately Bro culture is real here.

I generally like these podcasts but that was painful instead of pain free as the title suggests. The likes , ums , and you knows were hard to take after awhile. Might I suggest a toastmasters club to your guest

Content lacking and underwhelming guests
I really like Lucas and i subscribe to many of his workshops, I like listening to him but I find his podcast lacking. Some of the sessions are so short that you get nothing out of them. The ā€œexpertā€ talks about themselves, the work they are doing, and then maybe give one small idea and itā€™s over. For example the woman talking about anti-aging skin, all I learned was vitamin c and retinol (duh) and that she uses a laser in her lab. Boo - waste of time. The one podcast that was actually too long was the Oā€™Brady mountaineering guy - he was horrible. Total d-bag that was only interested in talking about himself and promoting his book. I had to stop listening. I felt like Lucas lost me after that episode. Need to vet your guests a bit more.

I was a long time listener but you lost me at your misinformation episode. This was neither helpful nor unbiased. What credentials did this guest have other than writing propaganda about what he personally deemed as misinformation? How can you say a cardiologist has nothing to say about medical therapies when the cardiologists who are speaking about these therapies are well recognized in their field, broadly published, highly respected in their field, and are providing researched proof that the latest injections are causing myocarditis? Are you a cardiologist who has researched this? You lost a lot of credibility today. You should probably stick to yoga

Love your show butā€¦ Buy Back Your Time episode?
Dear Lucas: I love your show and I have been a long time listener. I have taken your advice by my routine of daily pull- ups. I bought the yoga trapeze with the pull up bar several years ago. I put this bar in the kitchen to conveniently be able to do supported (with a band ) pull- ups, while drinking drinking my morning protein shake. Usually I will do 3 sets of 6 each morning and know that my grip strength and back are so much stronger, My morning routine will also involve some housekeeping in between as well. Now I am practicing handstands after my pull-ups, this only takes less than 10-minutes a day. I am 61 years old, happily retired for about five years now. Financal freedom is a reality for me because of working through challenges of all the things I didnā€™t want to do, I persevered, and suffered a bit, but endured, and focused on financial security. Basically, as a single mom, living though several relationships, and finishing several careers. The thing that I am trying to point out is that most people that I know are not as financially fortunate and I am not a millionaire. Sure I own my own house, have the pensions, 401K, and seen that my son through college and has a a solid career of his own šŸ¤—šŸ¤—. However, I see too many middle-aged people working so hard, perhaps they have more kids and grand-kids to worry about and may not retire until past 70. The Buy Back Your Time is not realistic for most people in the working class world. As a working mother, I spent a lot of time teaching my son how to become a responsible adult. This was through life skills such as cleaning up after ourselves, contributing to the household, learning how to cook, grocery shopping, budgeting/saving money, doing the chores/home/work/practice piano/etc prior to the fun stuff. Basically, we usually canā€™t get away from stuff we donā€™t want to doā€¦. unless maybe as a billionaire? My family is from Orange County , Iā€™ve always tried to follow in my uncleā€™s footsteps by the way he took care of his things: his physical/mental/body, house, yard, car, dog, etc. He kept everything looking clean/new including his physique. He loved washing the cars and always put gas in the cars for my aunt as well. While he loved my Auntā€™s cooking. Sure they would have vacation homes in Palm Springs and Hawaii, but they always loved taking care of what they had. I find the same joy in taking care of what I have. Sure I splurge on a vacation here or there. Sure, I go to my yoga classes 4-5 days week. But I always do some daily housekeeping as well as have ant extra couple of days to do some house-keeping and yard stuff. I think the most important thing is to take the best care of ourself first and no one is better to do that better than ourself. Also, taking care of our kids and pets are huge priorities and we cannot outsource that! Most importantly, if we can do the hard stuff first, chores, workout, responsibilities, and then spend time on guilty pleasures. For me, I love Netflix, Prime Video plus very economical and convenient. I do have a strict wakeup at 4-5 AM and go to bed about 7 or 8 PM. So it is fantastic to get my stuff done by 3 or 4 and get lounge time too. As a happily retired person, I am blessed that I am a routine oriented person. I have been fortunate because I have always been motivated to exercise because Iā€™ve had a huge appetite. My love of eating made me become a runner. I have actually starved as a kid and while trying to survive on minimum wage and this also has made me love food and want to work harder. I think, enduring hardships, suffering, and turning that around, learning about compassion for others ā€¦ makes one more content later on because one knows the consequences of being hungry and not having during those hard times. Thus, loving life even more to enjoy the financial freedom because we actually made better life for ourselves. The point is, isnā€™t life about doing many things that we donā€™t want to do, but Must do because of the consequences?

Great conversations
I have loved Lucas Rockwellā€™s flexibility training for what it does for my body, but I think these shows have something to offer anyone who is curious and wants to learn. I really like that Lucas shares his interests and is transparent about how his approach is shaped by what he learns and evolves over time. Recent podcasts that I have really enjoyed were on blood glucose and what you can learn about it even if you are not a diabetic through continuous blood glucose sensors, as well as the value of go-to meals as a way to make nutrition realistic, and how to start learning about your pelvic floor.

Good content, can be hit or miss
Overall, Iā€™ve enjoyed this podcast and will keep listening, but have definitely liked some episodes more than others. A few of the experts are very deep in their niche and use way too much jargon. And the book promos are insane. I get it, youā€™ve written a book, you donā€™t have to remind me umpteen times in the episode. I like Lucas a lot, and his comments are very good, but he sometimes lets the guest control the episode. Audio is also sometimes crappy.

I found this podcast after doing some of Lucasā€™ online yoga courses. He has a great variety of guests on a wide range of interesting topics. He often says he is a life-long learner and that is obvious. He shares his knowledge and is able to converse with and interview his guests well.

Fitness after 40
Good episode. Lots of helpful tips in here. The lampost to lampost advice worked for me last year. Not exactly running the distances discussed here, but happy to realize I could run longer than 20 minutes at all. Would not have thought it possible before.

Part of my regular exercise
Iā€™m a middle to late pack Ironman Triathlete. After completing 3 different full IMs, I suffered some knee issues that set has kept me out of full IMs for 4 years. On my way back to my first full IM since 2018, I decided to try Lucasā€™ Hip and Happy Back challenges. Iā€™ve found these very practical and extremely useful. They are now part of my regular training routine. This led me to the Lucas Rockwood Show. I canā€™t say that Iā€™m able to apply the topics from each show to my life, but they are all well done and interesting. There are very few podcasts that I consider worth my limited time to listen to whenever they come out. I havenā€™t gone back and listened to all 500+ episodes, but this podcast is now also part of my regular routine.

critical listening and critical thinking is what I love about this podcast. I love the most recent podcast about extremism in social media it is so true. Be an independent multi level thinker before you buy into the hate and extremism of either the left or right. Its all so nuanced.

This was a tremendously courageous show on an enormous topic. I could discuss this matter all day but of top importance I wish to thank you for bringing Kimberlyā€™s voice to the forefront, here. I agree that the literature on this topic begs for more recent, and additionally, a feminine perspective. Having been in and out of the ā€œdatingā€ world for over 40 years, I have seen rapid and radical shifts in what might be considered ā€œnormalā€ sexuality. The way people discuss sex and what is on the menu has changed so much. Influences like prolific, graphic internet porn and pop culture that ā€œnormalizesā€ what used to be considered fetishistic behavior (ie 50 Shades of Grey) ...something just 4 decades ago one would NEVER expect their partner to go along with (we used to call sex with our partners ā€œmaking loveā€ in the 70ā€™s and it was fairly safe to assume that pleasure, not pain, was the mutually understood preferred outcome)...From where Iā€™m standing, people seem pretty confused about what is and isnā€™t erotic, how to play the game of romancing someone, let alone what to do in the bedroom (NDA required?). Iā€™m not judging (whatever 2 consenting adults do is their own business) but (back to my notes about the dating world) the sex act du jour thing would be funny if it wasnā€™t so uninspired. Indeed, with so much water over the dam, what do we do,? when do we do it? how? and with whom? do ā€œweā€ use the tsunami of sexually explicit media that is confusing and isolating people while also turning a blind eye to predatory behavior, and empower/mobilize ourselves to take charge of our bodies and our selves (pun intended)? Kimberly, I look forward to reading your writing on your ideas on these issues. I think there is a void just waiting for someone with your specific expertise. Your voice really resonated with me. I wish you many more opportunities to express yourself.
