I found this podcast failed to provide any reliable information because the Podcaster displays a clear bias in favour of the Sussexes. Not worth listening to.

Every episode has false facts. The latest episode went on and on about the Queen and Philip’s picture with Archie at his christening. They didn’t even attend. They need an actual royal expert. I’m out!

I listen to about six podcasts to do with contemporary royalty, yes really! Each one has a different point of view. I like learning from them all including Scobie. He has his niche—keep it up.

Omid used to do reporting on the younger royals. He has since gone all in on the Sussex brand, acting as a PR shill for M & H. There’s no independence here. Such a shame. This man in his 30’s will now have no future in royal reporting, which is his only skill, as he will rightfully be denied access to Palace resources in the future. I hope it was worth it.

ABC can do better than this gossipfest. Pod Save The Queen and The Royal Rota are far more informed than this speculative drivel. Omid presents himself as being a royal insider. He’s not. He presents himself as being a spokesman for the Sussexes. He’s not. Omid presents himself as being the author of Finding Freedom and consistently avoids mentioning his co-author, Carolyn Durand, a woman who IS a royal insider. In short, Omid is a scam who does nothing more than presenting his own speculative and well-spun fiction as fact while stealing the work of real journalists that he presents as his own work. He has a favorite royal and will always choose salacious & untrue details that slander others while promoting his crush, Meghan. His podcast innuendos are almost stalker-like and would fit right in with any tabloid that claims the Queen is from Mars. He should drop the pretense of being a legitimate royal reporter and just call his podcast ‘Markle’s Manboy Musings’.

Hosted by someone who has lost their credibility as a royal commentator, he has a very biased view and the show overall forces you to like one side or another. It’s just sad

Interesting every review makes certain how much listeners dislike Maggie & now Omid. But, the Podcast is simply a fun run on the Royals day to day diaries. & it is Fun! They, the Royals create the best of England & the Commonwealth. The monies & incomes they’ve created for the citizens. The work they do for all the charities...Just amazing the income created for $1.80 tax on each taxpayer imposed. Sorry but without, the country would become the loss cause & suffer beyond means. Been to UK many times & adore visits to the countryside, the Lake District, York, the beautiful gardens. There’s so much more than controversy over the Royals, it is a shared wealth which is simply shared by the various Podcasts, YouTube & media.

Boring podcasts

I used to enjoy listening to Omid before Maggie came on. I get annoyed with how insincere/overly chipper she is. I’m sure she is nice but is just too cheer leader-y she is. Dont listen anymore :(

Will she be first guest on Meg’s podcast, then Oprah big interview and finally on his apple series? A goldmine of stories for her to glom onto and own.

The obvious bias makes the show boring. It would be far more interesting if it checked the facts and looked at the story from more than one side.

I enjoyed Omid when he and Emily had a podcast. As he’s become less a journalist and more a public relations spokesperson for the Sussexes, my trust in his objective reporting skills has waned. Heir Pod is a clever title but, like the host’s job description, misleading.

I happened upon this podcast after reading Omid’s book, Finding Freedom. I always look forward to Friday’s when the latest podcast drops. Keep up the great work!

You say that Henry and Meghan did not want to burden Archie with a title and that Prince Charles agreed that when he became king he would allow Archie to make his own decision. Meghan in her interview inferred that a title for Archie wasn’t allowed due to racism. Which is it?

No one cares about them. We want to hear about the real Royals. They are a joke and a disgrace.

How could Omid possibly know anything about the BRF if he’s the Sussex’s pet? He is very biased in his “reporting” of the BRF. Should just turn this into a Sussex Podcast only.

If you’re on team Harry, you’ll love this podcast, if you want a more balanced look at the Royal family, not so much. Omission Scobie, author of “Finding Freedom” is, of course pro Sussex, but as a longtime Royal reporter does know his stuff. His American sidekick, however, gushes idiotically like a red carpet reporter for on Oscar night. There are Americans who understand the ins and outs of the Windsors, why aren’t they used. This woman is a complete bubblehead and totally annoying

You will like this if you believe fairies exist. This man will say something in his book, then applaud Meghan for saying the opposite and will completely flip and flop whatever way the wind blows. Want a peak ar his hypocrisy? Him saying “royals stay silent as Harry and Meghan move on” on the same week he was on TV complaining the royals were moving on and how Harry and Meghan wanted them to talk.

Wish this was a bit more fair to the rest of the royal family

Appreciate this podcast and particularly the commentary that the Royal Family should consider addressing the issues raised and if not, their actions will be viewed with that context. Be transparent, acknowledge and then move on. The performative statements are virtually worthless without addressing this directly. Thank you!

Used to really appreciate this podcast and then it went and showcased a person who spews vitriol and hate towards certain members of the royal family and those the family supports. This isn’t journalism because he would have at least brought it up with her during the interview but he just ignored it. I’m really disappointed.

Presents inaccurate information with tremendous bias. I had previously enjoyed this program. It has in the past months evolved into propaganda.

I appreciate the fair coverage of the Sussexes. Other ‘royal correspondents’ could certainly learn a thing or two from Scobie. Thanks for not buying into the vitriol.

This is the pod for anyone fascinated with the past, present, and future of the British Monarchy. If possible I’d love to hear Omid’s take on something that piqued my curiosity: Since the current rules state that Archie automatically becomes an HRH Prince when Charles ascends the throne—which, given the Queen’s age, will certainly happen before the child even reaches his 10th birthday—what might be the reasons they didn’t just grant it at birth? Does this hint at how Charles plans to slim down the monarchy when he’s king? Keep up the good work!

This is my favorite podcast for updates on the BRF. True insider insight plus fun and positive commentary from the hosts. Highly recommend.

I listen to the podcast frequently but I am always left disappointed. Omid is fantastic! The effort he puts into his work is clear. He is adept at his trade bringing first-rate analysis to Royal news. He has a unique and valuable voice in this arena. His partner, on the other hand, adds no value. If anything, she hurts the podcast. I am assuming her function is to bring an element of levity to the podcast but she just comes across as ditzy, trivial, and infantile. She offers nothing but shallow assessments and childish banter that I could frankly do without. She seems not to possess any material knowledge of the topics or UK culture. Speaking as an American, her ignorance is intolerable. When she opens her mouth, the podcast suffers.

I think Maggie obviously seems like a lovely person but her input feels cringeworthy at times. The dynamic between her and Omid is really quite awkward and makes it difficult to listen. As an American, I don’t think it’s fair the way others have characterized her in the ratings but I do agree that her input doesn’t bring much value to the content being shared. I think it would serve the podcast better to have a different correspondent with Omid or possibly even guest correspondents.

This episode caused me to unsubscribe but I don't know why it took me this long! First the infatuation for Harry and Meghan and then the fake news of Biden and his "special" relationship with the royal family partially due to the issue of climate change. This host is an infatuated fan of WOKE culture who majors in the minors- both people ( except the Queen) and causes.

I used to love this podcast & couldn’t wait to get Omid’s insights on all the royal news. Now it feels like just another propaganda arm of TV networks making sure to hit the main talking points. No one cares about the medical decisions the queen or any of the family makes! Super disappointing :/

Volume is much lower on this podcast than others- even your commercials are much louder. Can you guys sort that? I’d really like to enjoy it w/out straining. I listen while doing my chores. 🙂

The last 2 episodes I have heard keyboard typing. It’s very distracting. Just an observation. Love your podcast.

I loved the On Heir pod because it was informative and to the point. Now that the pod’s evolved to The Heir pod, I’m lost. Maggie seems to perpetuate the boisterous and bubbly/vapid American stereotype, which is embarrassing to witness as an American myself. The banter between Omid and Maggie has become unbearable and so obviously superficial as Omid’s attempts to tolerate her and forge a connection with her weaken. I’m too distracted by Maggie’s attempts to be cute and quirky to make it more than 10 minutes.

The American sounds like a hyper eighth grade girl trying to impress her teacher by asking softball questions. Omid seems bored.

Why is the banal Maggie allowed to co-opt the podcast. She is a silly woman on a silly show. I can take the silly show but surely there is someone else who can join Omid with less giggling. Her favorite rejoinder “shut the front door” a little tired.

I enjoy listening to Omid, but I just can’t take the adderrall-induced sounding co-host Maggie. Her rushed, fake, loud delivery is so overbearing and annoying I will give this podcast a break until hopefully they get a new co-host for Omid. (and this criticism is coming from a female American)

For fans who enjoy minor royals becoming Kardashian-style celebrities

Positive and fun to listen to, but deeply focused on the Sussexes.

This used to be one of my favorite royals podcast to hear nothing but just news about the Royals. Things have changed however and Omid’s new co-host Maggie doesn’t add anything to it. She doesn’t seem to know tons about the royals and spends too much time just giggling and not adding much to the conversation

I used to really enjoy On Heir, but after the radio silence and then the change to the new podcast, Omid seems lukewarm about it. His co-host, Maggie, seems like an over-enthusiastic schoolgirl trying to make friends with the cool kid, who seems like he can’t be bothered with her. Maggie is so annoying to listen to. All she does is parrot back everything that Omid says. It’s like she’s new at reporting, and is just now learning the ropes. Unlistenable.

I really really appreciate your UNBIASED, FAIR and INFORMATIVE reporting on Harry and Meghan. This podcast is sadly rare. Please keep up the very good work😁

As a Royal watcher, this is the best podcast. Always positive, Omid is great. From the opening music to all the updates, this is a lovely, informative podcast with a professional broadcaster for a host. Update: LOVED the Halloween special with the guide’s stories. Wonderful show. More, please!

Jeez. How much do you adore The Sussexes? The gushing and adoration is over the top. I used to enjoy the podcast when Emily was on.

Omid is informative but Monica is just annoying to hear. She sounds like an over-enthusiastic ditz. I really try not to write negative reviews but this show would improve vastly without her. I’ve never seen her on ABC but I can imagine she would be good there doing positive news stories and interviewing children.

Really like to hear updates of Harry and Meghan.

After listening to 5 episodes deleted from my podcast library. Did not realize this would be nominating the royals for sainthood. Expected more about who they really are from the Brit perspective. Later......
