I simply love the quick dose of cheer in these episodes. The regular host is kind and charming without ever being over the top. He seems to really enjoy sharing stories of goodness in nature, by humans, by dogs, in space, wherever the good stuff is found. I'm always grateful for a new ep of the Good News podcast!

You should start a YouTube channel with animations.

So much news lady is so depressing. Wow this is important to stay updated, it’s nice everyone’s allowed to catch a break and enjoy the good in the world. I have an automation set up that every morning this podcast plays. And it really is a great way to start the day off. I love this show and the best part is you can listen to anywhere. Even something as simple as recycled windmill turbines or paper ketchup bottles can really bring your day up. Great show 😊

First episode I heard was about the Lego set for LGBTQIA+ and it made me tear up. I really needed a reminder that not everything going on close to home is negative now, and not everyone is trying to erase one or more groups of people. The host talks a bit slow for me, but this could be for the sake of inclusivity for listeners as opposed to trying to stretch a short story. Also sounds like the podcast changed for the better. Saw reviews from 1-2 years ago that mentioned distracting plugs and banter, along with a few jokes that were at the expense of others. (Yes, the podcast is sponsored by Cards Against Humanity, but probably not a good idea to cross in-game behavior with a podcast meant to be uplifting)

Thanks for opening my mind and human experience

Generally I find Neil and Colleen to be thoughtful hosts, but recently I tuned into an episode about recycled Olympic medals and found myself pretty shocked. Neil and Colleen liked the idea of competing in the sports of archery and curling, because then they could be “more portly.” Neil did a vocal impression of a fat person competing in archery. What? Colleen ended the episode by joking about larger people wearing spandex bodysuits, cackling about how funny that would look. Really? The way they address this topic is offensive; imagine they were behaving this way about someone with disabilities, or someone gay, or even someone who was a person of color. If you’re not a member of the group that you’re joking about, then you’re not punching across, you’re punching down. People with bodies of all shapes and sizes and abilities deserve to be treated respectfully and not openly mocked. I’m sad that two people I really like don’t seem to see what’s hurtful about their words.

I love this podcast. I love that the topics are so pleasent and joyful, and aren't too tied to current events, so I can listen to old episdoes and still enjoy them. I also love that there aren't sponsors mentioned in each episode so it's easier to binge a bunch of episodes in a row. lastly, I love Colleen and Neil. They are lovely. .

Colleen and Neil are the best! I listen to them at the end of my daily news pods to help keep me from falling into a pit of despair.

I love the Good News Pod so incredibly much! The quick snippets of awesomeness are perfect for driving the kids to school each morning. We can all listen and enjoy the great stories and the silliness. Keep being amazing, you crazy kids.

I could listen to an entire podcast dedicated to Katie singing songs incorrectly. 10/10 would recommend.

Overall, completely excellent! Not every single episode is perfect, and there have been a couple that I couldn’t finish. But generally a great show that makes me smile each morning.

I love Cards Against Humanity and I really wanted to love this podcast. I think the idea behind it is great; who doesn’t want to start each day with a little positivity? The execution could use some work, and the last two episodes (“Fly the improvised skies” and “LPFM”) finally lead me to unsubscribe. This isn’t a podcast I looked forward to each day, and those two episodes were so boring that I couldn’t finish either of them.

Great pick-me-up. Frequent production schedule and consistent quality. Colleen and Neil are a delight!

But the execution is just okay. Seems like they're struggling to come up with podcasts and it's only January.

It's okay. The premise is good, but I just kind of expect more from CAH. I walk away more annoyed than happy most episodes.

I was about to put my head in the oven recently but then I started listening to the Good News Podcast, and ever since then my life has done a full 180!

Only two episodes so far but the content is very warm and fuzzy. Wish they were longer but can’t complain because they are nice 😁
