Amazing Show!
This show has tackles the #MeToo era better than anything I've found. They are excellent for both women and men in navigating the current conversations and challenges around gender and power in our society. Highly recommend it!

Leading a Conversation about Gender
I discovered The Gender Knot over the summer while I was searching for podcasts that discussed masculinity specifically, especially if connected to gender-based violence prevention, and caught up on the series quickly. There are only a handful of podcasts available that I found on masculinity, and (without sounding overly critical) many of them seem to fall short in a lot of ways--having an unstable platform for discussion, only one person, being seduced by the problems we've seen in previous men's liberation movements, recounting views upholding patriarchy without self-reflexive commentary, and so on. So, I was relieved to find TGK because it offers more insight and entry into what is a difficult conversation for many, while holding some of these other components. I also really appreciate the platform of an open invitation into the conversation, and I think Nas does an exceptional job at this. To me, this positions the podcast really well to have impactful conversations that leads in a really important way right now.

Real-time
You really get the most out of this show if you listen to many episodes. It’s clear that the hosts’ thoughts on the topics aren’t always completely worked out, and this is an ongoing, evolving conversation that brings in many perspectives, including experts and fans. I like that it’s open-ended and feels like the types of causal conversations people are having on their own about these topics, but it does also get frustrating when points get re-hashed over and over without progressing. It would be nice if the hosts could reflect back more often and sum up some takeaways, but overall glad this is a conversation is happening, and that they’ve invited people to participate.

Fox News ads?
I like the topics you discuss but then you have Fox News ads spewing nonsense at me? Seems to be the opposite of the educating and inclusive message you’re trying to send.

Maybe I’m too old?
But these guys sound frustratingly vapid and it’s especially exasperating when they do bump up against something meriting deeper, nuanced discussion and then unfailingly shrink back into one-dimensionality. I recommend the soon-to-be deceased “Dear Sugars” for mature talk by thoughtful people on gender stuff.

Fun Listen on Thought Provoking Topics
Can’t recommend this enough. The podcast discusses so many interesting questions we all have, and some I didn’t even think of, about what it means to be a modern man or woman in society. This is a must-listen for anyone trying to navigate the tricky world of gender politics in the 21st century, with two co-hosts that make you feel so comfortable, it’s almost as if you’re in the living room talking with them.

All Intro, no depth
Tons of time talking about what they are going to talk about. And then they don’t really going into their topic (after spending lots more time talking about how they are going to approach their topic). Shallow discussion.

Smart and fun
One of my favorite podcasts. The hosts take a topic that I already think a lot about and add really great wisdom and insight.

Excellent take on hard problems
I love it when people are willing to take on hard, complex problems that don’t have easy solutions. This podcast does an excellent job of drilling into personal, emotionally complex gender challenges — and it does so with real honesty. I don’t always agree but I do always listen.

Has me thinking and laughing at the same time. Nas and Jonathon are great whether in conversation, interviewing or just plain disagreeing. Excited for more episodes.

The podcast that says what's on everyone's mind
I have a new favorite podcast, and not just because this BBC-News-presenter-turned-feminist-thought-leader is my close friend. It's my new favorite podcast because it's not a lecture. It's not a Q&A. It doesn't tell you what to think. It's just like the conversations that ambitious women and men are having in bars, cafes, at house parties, all of the time. Each episode brings young men and women, scholars, professionals, with opposite points of view together for informal chats. It's deeply reported. And it doesn't hurt that her British accent is delightful to listen to :-D

big fan
Just tuned in and already a huge fan. I love this kind of honesty and openness, and the way this broad subject matter is being addressed by a broad group of guests. It's so common to hear just one side of the story, and so refreshing to hear ideas from all sides. Excited to hear more!!

Love it!
I am really enjoying this podcast for the diverse interviewees, and the breadth of angles on the topic. It is such an important topic and I find the style and format very approachable. I also love the insightful, though limited, window into the reporter's personal relationship to the topic, it gives it a nice touch!

Just yes
Insightful, punchy, audacious- Nastaran Tavakoli-Far isn't afraid to go deep into the thorny problems of gender. The Gender Knot fills a gap that has been overlooked in the podcast world, shining a light on and offering solutions to problems facing society today.

Great incisive lines of questioning
The host is excellent about making sure she doesn't shy away from topics that are sometimes glossed over. Her follow up questions are on point but not too aggressive, while still being understanding enough that I didn't feel like she preemptively passed judgement. I'm really excited to see where she goes with this subject!
