Most fun you can have besides playing D&D
I have been playing D&D since the early 90’s and have always looked for a show that just sat down and talked about D&D lore in a fun and engaging way. You honestly can’t do better than the Dungeoncast. Trust me I’ve looked…

DnD content with a soul
This DnD/TTRPG podcast is a great mix of lore, live play and jokes. William and Brian are funny, and lively, and they obviously love what they do, which sets the pod apart from others. Not gonna lie-they're also both pretty cute, with great beards if you check out their youtube. I'm looking forward to their campaign setting for space/sci-fi play in DnD.

For the Lore junkies
I’ve been playing DnD for nearly 30 years and I still learn new things in just about every episode! Admirable dedication to the hobby!

Best D&D podcast out there
I’ve been playing D&D for about a year now and as such, I searched out many D&D podcasts. This is by far the best non-live play show out there. I’ve listened to every new episode as they come out and I’ve been working through their back catalogue and just finished episode 200. After all that, the show keeps holding strong for me. These guys are very knowledgeable about D&D, generally smart, funny, genuine, and they have smooth, creamy radio voices. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who likes Dungeons & Dragons. You’ll learn about the game, the lore and creatures, and be entertained too!

It’s the best
I like this podcast because it teaches me about the lore of previous editions that I know little about.

I love this podcast
The best part about this podcast is that it’s mostly just two Bros, chilling and talking about really fun stuff. Brian and Will are two amazing people who are really devoted to what they do

Had to come give a 5* after the whole phlogiston being so thick comment.

Let it go!
Laughed out loud at the Frozen reference. Thankfully, there weren’t more as it was bad enough everyone looking at me funny…the weird crazy American on the train…It did get me a free seat.

Wonderful for DM’s, Players, and people trying to sleep
I pop this podcast on pretty much every night to head to sleep with an AirPod on, this isn’t a knock on the cast to insinuate that it’s boring, I listen to it awake as well but the audio quality and calm familiar voices of the hosts, drift me right to sleep as I learn about DND lore through osmosis in my sleep, keep it coming guys thank you for the quality content!

Started great, not so much anymore.
This podcast started AWESOME!!!! Gave a LOT of info, and not just on the game material but discussing the origins of the material from the real world that is an inspiration to the game. NOW all they do is READ, verbatim, wiki entries and provide no additional content other than crude jokes that often details the shows.

Longtime D&D player
I started playing many many years ago, in first edition and enjoy hearing new Loremasters on the rise. Great, funny and entertaining show. Catchy music and clever segments.

Phenomenal resource for DMs and Players alike
Found Dungeoncast a couple weeks again and have been flying through the content! As a DM who learned entirely through playing and osmosis, it’s been great learning about the significance of what makes the Feywild vs Shadowfell vs the 9 Hells all so distinct besides color palette. Keep it up dudes!

Great Content, Not Great Volume
I’ve been listening to/watching The Dungeoncast for about 4 or 5 years now and the topics and content have been helpful in expanding my GM knowledge, as well as just overall entertaining. My only issue is the volume of the podcast recently. It’s very low and uneven. I have to turn the volume up a lot for the content but then an ad comes on and the ad is super loud so I’m having to keep changing the volume. I’d recommend a lot of compression then amplifying the volume to -3 decibels. The program “Audacity” is free and a good tool for editing since you can get numerous sound engineering effects and set up workflows for ease of use.

Great for all
This podcast is dope! I came in around episode 200, and have not only kept up on all the latest episodes, but also am mostly through the back log. As a DM, it’s a great resource to get background on lore while also a good resource for players as well. Plus it’s hosted by two sweet dudes! I also highly recommend Superquest Saga, Special Guest Jake and Josh Freeland also seem super cool. Why wait? Get to it! It’s nice to be able to binge shows like these in hour doses for sure. Keep up the great work. Update (7-24-23): I loved the Sword of Zariel episode. I am currently running a game in the Ravnica setting, and have set enough moral quandary for my players to switch from good, to bad, back to good recently. It’ll be nice to have a high level item I can let them earn no matter which side of the coin they land on. Keep up the good work!

Amazing for players and DMs alike
I found the Dungeoncast after exhausting all the actual play podcasts I’m currently following and it was a delightful discovery as it inspires me with new ideas based on existing lore that I wouldn’t necessarily get just listening to other people play. The hosts, Brian and William, are both very entertaining and I’m excited to see more of what they create in the future

Timeless DnD (or table top RPG) content
With a huge library of topics perfect for DM/GM and player alike. Just search up something from an upcoming or recent session and get the background info with these deep dives.

Love the show!
Great tool for new and veteran DMs. Forgot the two hosts names, just remember them as the d!ck joke one and the apologetic one that is slowly making more d!ck jokes.

Wonderful
This is an absolutely perfect podcast for all TTRPG fans. This show has given me so many ideas and inspirations for my own campaigns as a dungeon master. I’m not great at writing but what I’m trying to say is WATCH THIS.

TTRPG Podcast That Isn’t An Actual Play! 🙏
I love a good actual play podcast but keeping up with 1000 stories gets exhausting after a while so I am grateful these guys exist! A perfect way to get all the TTRPG fixes I want in with fun, informative, and exciting episodes.

Great show!
I really like this podcast, I’ve listened to every episode. I’ve been listening for years now and appreciate all the topics that these guys have covered in that time. I especially like how William brings his knowledge and lore from older editions of DnD. Keeps it up guys, you’re doing great. I’m sure you two will read this so I have to say I’ve noticed recently the two of you are really hard to hear. I don’t know if you need to sit closer to your mics or what, but I have to turn the volume all the way up in my car and I still have trouble hearing when you talk. Your ads are normal volume and I don’t have this problem with other podcasts, just when either of you are talking I have to be in a pretty quiet place. I don’t know if anyone else has the same problem, just wanted to say it where I knew you’d see it. Other than that, you guys are the best!

Love it!
When I started listening to Podcasts a few months ago this was the DnD podcast I found and I’ve been hard pressed to find one that’s half as good as this. I love the dynamic between Brian and Will. They bring a fun and flavor to wonderfully in depth discussions about a topic near and dear to my heart. I look forward to every episode and it seriously is the show that sustains my brain through boring work days. Thanks a lot guys for being a beacon of joy for this hobby. Shout out to Demogorgon!

Great Resource for D&D and now Pathfinder 2E
I only found this show a few months ago, but I love it so much I’ve listened to almost all of the 5 year backlog already. The hosts are informative and hilarious - a true delight to listen to. While most of their content is about D&D 5E, they also frequently discuss previous versions of the topic of the day, which is always interesting. And now they’ve expanded to include Pathfinder 2E, which just opens up a whole new world to explore. I enjoy it so much I became a Patreon supporter, which I hardly ever do.

Exact D&D Lore podcast I was looking for
Great lore podcast; really well organized with some humor but without tons of unnecessary filler. Love how they go over a bit the mythology, real world origins, and then a deep dive into the lore from various D&D sources (all previous editions and Dragon Magazine). Great for understanding role-play or behavior of NPCs, monsters and variation within realms such as the feywild. Great source for new player character creation too. Love listening to fey-related episodes while out on a hike.

Too much profanity otherwise great
Dungeoncast is entertaining and the guys have good chemistry. Brian doesn’t interrupt as much as he did now, it was bothersome for several episodes. The content is rich and well researched, a valuable commodity for gamers of all ages. This brings me to the needless profanity throughout the podcast, there are so many f bombs…please think of alternative verbiage. There is no need for it and detracts from the overall experience. They would gain many new followers but for that. It’s awesome these guys have been doing this for so long and I hope they keep it up (and clean it up).

Awful
These idiots don’t know anything about D&D. Mostly this “podcast” is just a grifter scan to try getting gullible people to support the fools on Patreon, and spam listeners with ads in the podcast. Terrible show

My Favorite Fantasy TTRPG Podcast

Love it, listen to all episodes
I love this show. It’s both super fun and informative. If you like DnD lore get over here. They've expanded from just monster to lore, cities, and magic items. Keep up the great work. Also check out their actual play if you’re into that kinda stuff.
