DPD is the standard to which I hold all other podcasts. The topics are interesting, the hosts have great chemistry, and the editing is fantastic. This podcast was a mainstay in my week when it aired, and it’s become a familiar destination to revisit during the last three years of COVID. Thank you to everyone involved for making this show AND for keeping it available all these years later. I still tell people about DPD to this day!

I would know who to invite what to serve and what playlists suited each part of my dinner party. I’d know because I was schooled in 2017. Since I’ve missed Brendan and checked back frequently, what a delightful surprise! A fabulous show this is, now I wait…for the…next episode…Thank You.

Mea maxima culpa. I never wrote a review for your show, until now... and now, it's too late. You two are my favorite hosts, ringmasters and cocktail-cowboy personality wranglers. You've made me feel welcome at home - the kind of home with a secret back salon buzzing from funny, talented, creative people - that I carry around in my head, no matter where the rest of me may be. I will miss you surgically pulling out the conversational quirk from people the way a veteran actress gets that second olive from a dirty martini like a pro. Thank you for hours of an intimate, smart radio menu that always had me looking forward to the next round. Please tell me you will still be serving it up, on some other platform? I was shocked to learn this show will no longer be on the air. What a disappointment! I have been enjoying the show since 2014. As an expat, I am always starved for a taste of "home" and this always hit the spot with the right blend of irreverent humor, culture, poignant and compelling interviews and, of course, cocktails and food. You will be missed, Brendan and Rico.

First off, DPD is just a highly entertaining and randomly informative listening experience that always puts me in a good mood. The synergistic transformation for me happened when I decided to pair it with actually cooking. I'm an experienced but uninspired cook (chore), and found that DPD is the perfect mojo to keep me happy when I'm dinner-prepping! I'm focused on food, entertaining, and fun. My dinners improved >my family is healthier,>I enjoyed cooking for friends more>I have fun! Result: better health, more happiness, more fun, better life. Do not underestimate the power of this podcast.

Love this show and it is great to hear it on podcasts. Makes commute and boring tasks at home more enjoyable because I listen to Rico and Brendan and their guests have light conversations - like at a dinner party!

This is my go-to podcast to turn other people on to podcasts. There's a little something for everyone, hosts have good banter, excellent podcast for roadtrips. And whoever came up with that format — I gotta hand it to you. VERY clever. This is one of the few podcasts that have actually inspired me to buy some new music. Nice work all around. Cheers!

I've given "Dinner Party Download" a fair chance, but let's face it, the show is awful. An painful hour of listening is like being trapped on a long trip on an overcrowded train, penned in where there is no escaping the boisterous stupidities of a noisy group of loudmouths. The Please, bring the Download all the way down. Bury it. Give us adult news and entertainment radio.

This podcast has given me do much. It's been a friendly voice on a gloomy day, a window into worlds I'd like to visit and a teacher of things I never knew. Rico and Brendan are fantastic hosts and this show keeps me coming back every time.

I have been listening to the podcast for a while, but episode 363 pushed me to write a review. I awoke to my podcast library still playing at 4am on this episode, and it was so good I had to stay awake to finish it. It featured the guys chatting and getting etiquette tips from Nick Offerman, a short piece with Aziz Ansari relating his proposal to his wife, and a poignant segment with Rick Astley. Each piece was meaningful for me following a rough week. I was so inspired, I just had to send the link to my family and some friends, even before the show was over (sorry if the text woke anyone at 0430). I included the note with the link "something in this for each of you." Humorously, the last segment in the show was an interview with with an author on her book "Future Sex," needless to say, I had to send a 0450 text to family and friends saying that segment was in no way related to any of them. 😳 Brilliant podcast, that I absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys humorous and thoughtful programming.

I've been listening to this podcast for about year and I don't think I've missed an episode. I love listening to the different pieces they have, and the hosts have a fantastic conversational flow that brings out an incredibly casual and genuine side of even their most famous guests that not many can accomplish. From the icebreaker to the etiquette questions, every minute is impeccably done.

I enjoy the conversations they have with people about wildly varied topics, and they’ve actually got me back into music, in a way I haven’t been in years. They have interesting artists on, they play interesting songs and the dinner party playlist always introduces me to someone new. Great podcast that I’m actually motivated to keep up with!

A shot of sweet, sweet culture to get you going in the morning or to relax with in the evening. Come for the ice breaker, stay to be able to smuggle refer to an up and coming artist by saying "oh yes, I listened to an interview with them. They enjoy spaghetti and the music of Chet Baker." DPD. It's the best!

Now THAT'S entertainment. So much quality programming in one show. The absolute model of the perfect podcast with a moving pace, varied content, and truly interesting hosts . Absolute gold.

I enjoyed this show when it was a 10-15 minute podcast. I think it's only gotten better since expanding to an hour-long radio show. Rico and Brendan come across more like the hipsters you'd meet at a dinner party rather than journalists, but they cover interesting topics and talk to interesting people. All with a slightly snarky vibe.

Rico and Brendan are amazing! You're the only podcast I listen to the re-broadcasts/gone back and listened to every episode from before I started listening. Currently listening to the holiday special and crying the happiest of tears. You two never fail to get me thinking seriously about the "culture, food, and music" I miss out on every day. This week you've gotten me more in the Christmas spirit than any amount of decorating, baking, or shopping can do. Thank you a million times :)

From established icons (Gloria Steinem, Steve Martin, Frank Gehry, Anjelica Houston) to emerging artists (Raury, Amelia Gray, Kurt Vile) DPD is a hilarious atlas of the absolute best in culture. Host Rico Gagliano's warm brilliance and warp-speed wit engenders exceptional, nuanced interviews which remain compelling well after their initial air date. The word-play and general jocularity between the hosts (especially the bits tacked on after the show has "ended") make me laugh out loud.

As an early-adopter, pleased to report, this still is one of my favorites each week - especially after a long, hard week with difficult, hard to take news. Sparkling, interesting show. They never mail it in. Well, they never phone it in... opps, sure there's phoning. Or order take out ... except for the occasional repeats. Just listen to them!!!
