Convenient. Versatile. Futureproof.
I journaled a lot as a teen, during my college years and as a young working adult. But then life stuff got in the way and it was difficult finding time to put pen to paper. With the dawn of personal computers, I returned to journaling, but proprietary journaling software got in the way of saving entries. So, I struggled with returning to journaling for many years. Current methods were just too cumbersome and I couldn’t find a convenient way to work journaling into my daily life. Most importantly, I couldn’t find a journaling program that assured me that I could export everything I wrote and not have it go away if the application failed. Enter Day One. Convenient. Versatile. Futureproof. Using Day One is as easy as setting up your journal and making entries using your mobile device of choice. Finally! A quick way to make an entry without going through a big production (unless you want to, of course). Journaling on the go is practically effortless. Using pictures in your entries is fun and easy. Pulling in social media entries is doable. And I am assured that if anything ever goes wrong with Day One, which I don’t expect will be the case, my data is backed up in the cloud and I can save to a PDF any time I want. What a revelation! You can even retroactively import written journal entries that you made in the past and convert them to text if you’d like! Day One gets my highest recommendation. A premium subscription is without a doubt worth it and will expand your versatility a lot. This is one of the few apps I actually subscribe to, and I am very picky about doing that with any app. Your journaling lifetime begins and ends with Day One!

What is your life worth?
Not financially but emotionally. Is your life worth remembering? Mine is and I want to remember my trivial pursuits, my accomplishments, and those little a ha moments that don’t come around often enough. Day One makes all this and more possible. When I started using this amazing app I had an iPhone, a windows computer, I subscribed to the free version of the app. My point is that the phone and computer apps were seamless. One of the best features of the app is something like “what were you doing on this day in the app history?” Want to know how much you have grown? Or not? Finally, buy the premium version. It’s worth every penny!

Learning so much and great support Day One
I was not a dedicated listener to podcasts until Day One. They announced the pilot and I was anxious to listen. I use Day One very day and throughout the day. I have been hooked on the podcast and am always so excited to hear what will be on a new episode. Day One has returned me to journaling and now made me a regular podcast listener!

DayOne Users Rejoice
This podcast is great. As a DayOne user I find the information about the future of the app and the development that goes into it interesting. I like to get to know a little bit about those involved with creating and maintaining one of the apps that I use every day. I like to see the commitment and care that the people at DayOne have for their company and am comforted to know that they aren’t in it just for the money. These people care about what they do and they care about me as a user. It has also been great to hear what other users are doing with the app. I have already got a lot of good ideas and have implemented them into my own journaling. Great app and podcast for any DayOne user. Perfect for anyone who is thinking about getting a journaling app or thinking about starting their own personal history. DayOne will change your life.

Sales pitch for a rent-a-journal
Listened to the first episode of this podcast only to find that it’s basically a sales pitch for the ridiculous rent-a-journal business model that the company has switched to. I suppose the company has to do something with the cash rolling in from renewing subscriptions, so they’ve made this podcast as an advertisement to try to sell people on subscribing to this bait-and-switch product. It’s shameful what the software industry has degenerated into, both on desktop and mobile.

About time!
Love Day One. But I've often found myself awash when trying to come up with new ideas for how to use the app. This podcast has already given me a solid handful of new ways to engage with the app in a way that makes my days better! Plus, they have great attention to detail on production and sound terrific. Thanks folks!
