So happy to hear my two favorite podcasters casually keep me excited about this franchise!

The Carve is finally back! I have kept checking back for new episodes ever since they stopped. I can never get enough Monster Hunter, so I really enjoy having this to listen to while I am at work. These guys are a great example of friends just chatting about a game series they enjoy.

Also, just fought the “O-dog”(Odogan) and I don’t know if it was a glitch or something, but I broke its head, all four legs, cut off its tail, AND broke its back, and it still WOULDNT DIE (I did kill it after 45 mins tho) Also, I’m a dual blade wielder, so maybe that has something to do with it

So good you don't have to know Monster Hunter to enjoy it.

Started listening fairly early on every week and it is surreal to think that the last episode I heard was in October. Fun guys to listen to. You won’t hear about what armor skills are good in what situations or the end game grind, but they are definitely huge fans of the franchise and it is great to hear their opinions and experiences with the game. Look forward to when they can pick this back up.

These guys are all over the place...they actually hardly play the game at all. Look elsewhere for actual information on Mon Hun.

They kinda meander around topics a little too much, they also have a very base knowledge of the thing their podcast is about. You’re better off getting your info from somewhere else.

This is an awesome podcast the host and co-host are hilarious and deliver lots of news that I otherwise wouldn’t get. I just found this podcast so I am sad to hear they are taking a small hiatus but hopefully when they come back it will be even better than it is now and to be honest I think I would listen to them talk about any game.

Let me start by saying I listen weekly. It’s a solid podcast about MHW and I like the host. My only complaint is the host are pretty far behind the rest of the community at this point. Maybe consider reaching out to a listener, games journalist, or a friend and see if they’ll guest host an episode to talk more on the post game content.

Y’all seem really cool.... but sound so noobish. Like no offense to the casuals out there, not using the radial wheel? Why... lol. Did y’all even beat Extreme Behemoth? Idk. I guess I’m use to watching things and reading stuff from the actual MH YouTube and them explaining the news instead of listening to people guess at it... but I was like u guys a year ago, so in due time I guess.

A fun, casual podcast about the Monster Hunter video games. I started listening about the time Monster Hunter World came out. You won’t learn the meta builds listening to this podcast, but I play the game for fun rather than to max stats. If you’re a fan of the Monster Hunter games give this podcast a try.

Love the podcast, whether there is any good news or not the bois come up with something entertaining every single week.

I listened to these guys every Friday morning for over a year but I followed them on Twitter (Steve and Micah), and I would post stuff and (rarely) tag Micah and/or Steve to it if I wanted an opinion or for them to just see it. But turns out I got blocked by Steve for no reason. What a jerk. I could probably only count on one hand how many times I tagged him. They were all monster hunter or Pokémon related. I will be cancelling my patrion subscription to them.

All my other podcasts won’t work after a certain time but this one always comes through with content and comedy. Keep it up guys!

Sbj and Micah are great guys to listen to rant about Monster Hunter and other things

I love playing MHW but on my commutes I love to Bone Up!!! with SBJ and Micah the Brave! They produce an excellent quality podcast and I’ve listened to a lot of pods on everything from MTG to F1 to Movies. I’m brand new to the Monster Hunter franchise so listening has helped me enormously. Yes I check out a lot of other resources too as they very often explain that they are not experts but are podcasting to share information with the casual listener. I Highly recommend.

Like your show - so I gave you 4 stars. But this most recent episode - the one about the FF14 cross over trailer - WAS SO TERRIBLE. You sounded like you had zero interest in the game. So many awkward (not Funny) bits, and pauses. A slip up of an episode for sure. Still like you guys though. Generally good show.

The Carve is a fun to listen to podcast about Capcom’s best selling game of all time. The hosts are genuine fans and have good chemistry with each other and their guests. They also respect my time by keeping episodes concise and never run longer than they need to. My biggest issue with the show is that the hosts, despite being big fans of Monster Hunter, are very prone to giving false info about the game their show revolves around. They lampshade this in a few episodes by mentioning the “haters” that are trying to correct them, going so far as to say “we’re wrong, oh well. Get used to it.” Not very promising when they build a show around a game and then don’t have the resources to make sure their info is correct. Still, when they’re not trying to educate you about Monster Hunter World, they are a good quick listen and entertaining enough, especially on their tangents. Take any advice they have with a grain of salt, though.

I would like more of your experiences with the hunting of monsters or new monsters. I really enjoy when you guys do talk about those.

So my boss and his wife were coming over to dinner on short notice, and I had to cook a nice joint of roast beef for the occasion. I knew I could rely on iTunes to provide a suitable podcast to help me with the meat preparation, but imagine my horror when I discovered it was a podcast about computer games, and had NOTHING AT ALL to do with carving a joint of beef. Needless to say my boss left unimpressed, and I'm now looking at an uncertain future at the company. Thanks Monster Hunter! >_<

Pretty sure this podcast is never done sober by the hosts. At least SBJ. He seems to go off the rails and Micah has to reel him in.

Started playing MHW and instantly wanted some more Monster Hunter juice while i wasn’t playing, SBJ & Micah are great together and have some fun and engaging dialogue along with cheesy jokes and great humor. They provide great information on monsters and equipment, along with tips and hints that the game itself doesn’t go over. Keep up the great work guys!

Hey Guys! To clarify the street fighter situation, Sakura is ryu’s #1 fan. She wants to train under him, but ryu doesn’t train anyone. So, Sakura follows ryu to every fight he has and watches and tries to mimic his style with her own flare.

Top notch audio, likeable hosts who don't sound like they are breathing out of their mouths, clocks in at a respectable hour (give or take). Great stuff.

You're better off getting your MH news and discussion from your neighbor's pet fish. These guys constantly peddle inaccurate information and spend more time dancing around STORY SPOILERS to a monster hunting game with a paper-thin plot than covering anything in-depth or endgame related. Coming up with hit-or-miss (mostly, if not all, miss) nicknames for the various monsters is also a specialty of theirs - and not much else. I appreciate that there is a MH podcast, but maybe these two shouldn't be the ones doing it? I'm new to this series and find this more frustrating than useful. I'd give less stars if possible, truly awful.

Honestly these guys are great. Good duo. Can’t ask for much more. Lol. Micah kills me and SBJ kills me with his pronunciations. :]

Hands down the BEST weekly monster hunter podcast out here. I love “boning up” every week.

I’m new to monster hunter and this podcast has really helped me find a sense of the MH community. The guys are fun to listen to and while they enjoy the game and take it seriously, they don’t mind cracking ones about the monster names and other stuff. It’s fun just listening to these guys who are so enthusiastic about this title.

I started playing monster hunter world in the last weeks of February (2018). It was my first monster hunter game despite knowing of the franchises existence since the first game released in 2004. TLDR I wanted to listen a podcast focused on monster hunter and came across the carve. It’s safe to say I’m a fan, and gleam so much from the show. If you’re on the fence, just take the leap and you won’t regret it. So with that, As the guys say ! “keep on hunting those monsters! And keep on carving those monsters.”

As a MH newbie, this has helped tremendously. Highly recommend it.

I’m used to longer podcasts like the JRE, but there is a lot of information and fun packed into The Carve’s hour long episodes. Love the quirky names you give the monsters, because I can’t pronounce half the names myself!

Excellent and super fun Monster Hunter discussions... and you can’t forget the hilarious monster name pronunciation attempts. :) Great audio quality, pacing and choice of topics.

First discovered this podcast through an Arekkz Gaming video prior to the release of Monster Hunter World. As someone who had never played a monster hunter game before I was really interested in jumping into the franchise but was unsure of what to expect. I started listening to this podcast hoping to get some background and insight into the world of monster hunter and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the show. The dynamic between SBJ and Micah is very entertaining and I found that they do a great job of explaining and simplifying things in a way that is very approachable for newcomers. I ended up binging all of the episodes in about 1-1 1/2 weeks and was able to get completely caught up before the launch of World. I love the game, one of the few that has really gotten me hooked and thinking about playing nonstop for quite a while. I credit this podcast as being the deciding factor of whether or not I should buy the game in the first place. Thank you guys and I look forward to future episodes.

Focuses on superficial aspects of game. No real information and slow, boring banter.

As a complete new comer to the Monster Hunter franchise, I really apricate how accessible they make the game. You can clearly tell how much they love the games but do not shy away from pointing out flaws where they find them. They keep the topics fun and are always awear there are new players that dont know all the ins and outs of the game. If you are looking for a fun Monster Hunter podcast, look no further.

These guys are good. Too many podcasts about games are very cringey and the hosts try too hard to be funny. These fellas are endearing and try just the right amount. Monster Hunter is a game about having fun with your friends and that mentality bleeds through my earbuds when I listen to this podcast. I’ve never watched a stream before, but maybe I’ll check out yours. Keep up the good work!

Been binging this podcast, Arrekz and gaijin hunter pretty much non stop until release. Wish I was playing on PS4 so I can get in on someone those discord hunts. Keep it up guys! And thank you very much!

I am a complete green horn when it comes to Monster Hunter. But I love the relaxed and easy to understand atmosphere that the hosts bring to the podcast. It’s funny, it’s informative, and it’s helpful. Everything a new Hunter needs to know.

I've never ever been one that listens to podcasts, but man I'm so glad I found this one. I'm usually aggressively searching on youtube for more Monster Hunter World content to listen to/watch while I do my illustration work, and always just resort to watching Arekkz's MH videos over and over again, but the minute I started listening to SBJ and Micah I instantly couldn't get enough of their show. I started listening to all of their past shows and have been binge listening to them so far, and I can't wait to get caught up to the recent stuff. I love when you have guests like Arekkz and Gaijin and how everyone talks about their first experiences because it sounds a lot like my own, so it's nice being able to relate to you guys and just share the love for this amazing series. Please keep up the great and quality work!

A great listen for hunter fans new and old. Between It's Super Effective and The Carve, SBJ and his cohorts consistently create fantastic content.

Great podcast. I’m newer to monster hunter and probably prefer the monster hunter :stories game the most. Wish there was more on that here.

I’m not usually a podcast type of person, but I really enjoy The Carve. SBJ and Micha are great host and great entertainers. I recommend this pod cast for any one that is a Monster Hunter fan or is just getting interested from the MH: World announcement.
