So great!
I listened to this when it first came out, and I wasn't convinced it was fiction. It's incredibly well done and requires zero suspension of disbelief. A great model for others to follow!

Really well done in the spirit of an old time radio show. Very compelling story and the voice acting is first rate. Wish their were more of these shows.

First rate audio drama!
It’s hard to believe I’m not listening to an actual true crime podcast about a real murder. This is some excellent storytelling and acting!

Wow!
This was a great story. I couldn’t stop listening. The acting was absolutely superb, I mean worthy of some kind of award. I loved this podcast!

Very Entertaining
This was my first fictional podcast and I loved it! The crime set in the past and all of the characters were very interesting. The main character was a charming rogue and I really liked the narrator. Misha Collins being in it is just a bonus 😘

Amazing
This is one of my favorites. Shows like this and the black tapes are my kind of shows. It’s engaging from the beginning. I want another season but I probably won’t get it. Very well done and I highly recommend.

A must listen
I finished this podcast in two days. Everything about it is exceptional- the voice work, the story, the intrigue. It hooks you from the very first second. My only issue would be the ads, maybe if they were incorporated a little better.

So necessary
I love great storytelling. The suspension of disbelief while listening is better than most shows streaming and the production quality delivers layers of listening pleasure. This is a must listen!

love the story however...
I absolutely love the story and the production is outstanding. The only thing that I do have a mild irritation with is the ads, mind you I dont mind the ads and I actually like that they tell me about other podcasts I might like. I only wish that they had a better way of sepperating them from the story since it breaks the imersion when I am confused about where the story end and the ads begin.

Absolutely loved this podcast. Great sound, production, actors and great music. I hope they make a new podcast! Seriously take a listen and you’ll be hooked. I started it one day after lunch at work and ended up finishing it the next day.

Amazing from beginning to end.
I’m not really big into murder mysteries, but I saw the stellar reviews and decided to give it a try. To keep it short and sweet: the voice acting is fantastic, the story is incredible, and the ending....is unforgettable.

Noir at it’s finest
Yeah, I rarely leave reviews for things. I’ll rate them, sure, but leaving a review? The Angel of Vine was spellbinding. Each episode left me wishing my drive was just half an hour longer so I could keep listening. It’s noir at its its finest, which all the uncomfortable situations, wonderful dialogue, and twisty plot lines that you’d expect. The production and sound design and performances were all on-point. This is the kind of show that makes me look for other works by the creators. And that is, in fact, what I’m off to do as soon as I finish typing this out. Give this one a listen. It’s good.

Great cast, compelling story
A hard-boiled noir with an all-star cast — including a surprisingly great, gruff-yet-tender turn from Joe Mangianello — and an ending that might be predictable, but still doesn’t disappoint.

Surprising
I have stayed away from what I perceived to be celebrity vanity projects in podcasting, but I am glad I took a chance on this particular series. I really enjoyed the story, it was well acted; it was neither overly dramatic nor precious. I highly recommend giving this a shot if you like mysterie; this one actually makes you think. Constance Zimmer, Mischa Collins, and (wow) Alan Tudyk were outstanding.

Darn good!
This. THIS is good. Right on spot as described; very Spielberg like. The transitions are smooth but vivid. The storytelling is riveting. I love the style and story of this podcast. I searched all over for great "drama" podcasts, and this is a gem to find for sure.

What an amazing piece!
This was done so well, it was so real. The story was immense and performed so beautifully.

A wonderful performance!
The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five was cause of a few audio issues the podcast seems to have where when I tried listening to it during my commute I had to crank the volume for the intro and then once the story started I had to decrease the volume substantially. And there was something involving the advertising too but I don’t remember what at the moment. Aside from those two small issues this podcast is a five star performance with an amazing cast of voice actors; such as Alan Tudyk, Joe Manganiello, Travis Willingham, Matt Mercer (and others); all in all it’s an absolute must listen to! The story was riveting and kept me on the edge of my seat from the start. Can’t wait to see what they do next.

Enraptured
This podcast transports you to another time, another world. Gritty with the truth of the times, yet sweet with feelings of authenticity. The web of clues and secrets kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. Thank you for letting me live in your story for an afternoon.

Kind of Pales
I started listening to this before I found the podcast about the Hodel family, by the Hodel family (sorry, the name escapes me just now). Possibly if I had found this first, I would find it more interesting, but as so often happens, fiction pales compared to truth. It's not bad, it's just kind of obvious and a little slow.

First time only once
I love stories like this. Love and hate. I can only experience the ending and the surprise, the shock...only once. And now I’m not sure where to go! Thank you for such a great experience.

Molina is a treasure
I’m so pleased Mr. Alfred Molina is doing this podcast. He is a treasure as an actor and everything he is apart of. What a gem!

Timeless
Wish there were more podcasts like this that really made you feel that you were right in the middle of a black and white 1920s movie. Really amazing voices too!

Poor ad placement
Ads break up the flow, would be a lot better if they were at the end or beginning

Nice try but only so-so after all
Alfred Molina & Constance Zimmer are super actors, but the writer(s) here should have gone for camp rather than the unironic use of high-school level noir clichés. The dialog, especially that of the protagonist Hank, is so derivative, unrealistic, and unimaginative as to be pretty awful. We're supposed to wonder why the late Hank had such an obsession for a hard-boiled, seen-it-all cop, but at the end it's hard to care what drove him. And yes, the booze product placement was as ham-handed as could be. All that said, the killer's speech at the big reveal was good enough to earn the 3rd star.
