Fears series
I started listening to this podcast during the fears series, and it was amazing! Super helpful and solid ideas. This podcast has helped me survive a challenging year. šŸ’• My feedback is that more recent episodes feel like they are geared towards general teaching tips (which I could find anywhere) vs. a faith-perspective on the struggles of teaching (which is why I come here). There are also a lot more plugs for products and ads. I also wish the lower elementary perspective had more coverage. Itā€™s a different world in the primary grades. šŸ˜‚

Finally
Finally I have found a Christian Educator podcast that includes public school teachers. Love that she is tackling relevant struggles for today! Iā€™m very thankful for this podcast and I will share with friends!

Encouraged and given workable ideas!
Every time I listen to a podcast with Linda I am encouraged to pray for my students and believe in his power to work in my classroom for learning and building skills that with bring fruit in my students. I also walk away with at least one action I can try and implement and have seen work in my classroom. I love it!

Bad Advice: ā€œIf itā€™s too hard, You need to get out!
Wow! This episode was right on time for me! It helped bring some clarity that I needed. Leaving a school thatā€™s hard, is a hard decision to make, especially when you love the students who need good teachers. Thank you for providing this podcast. It makes a difference!

From hopeless to hopeful!!
After having to move from Christian school to public, I was overwhelmed and discouragedā€¦in tears every day! I was hopeless and certain I would never have an impact for Christ in the classroom again! I was ready to quit altogether! Then I started listen to Teach 4 the Heart and also joined Teach Uplifted! These programs restored my hope, gave me new vision and encouraged me that I was not alone and that I truly could make a difference for the Lord in the lives of my students and colleagues! I decided to teach another year and God even blessed me with a small group of teachers at my school who meet to pray and encourage each other! Thank you for your podcast - it is truly a lifeline for Christian teachers!!

Peaceful Listening
I have really enjoyed listening to this podcast. It puts me at such peace and offers quiet reflection time. I especially like the part at the end when itā€™s just time to think and be with your thoughts. It provides me time that I donā€™t give myself on my own.

Spiritual and Biblical Inspiration
Letā€™s face itā€¦..schools have become a place where it feels awkward to be a Christian. We are told to keep our personal spiritual beliefs private. Yet, as Christians, it is our duty to spread the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On this podcast, Linda gives easy and practical ways we can fulfill our Christian duty and spread the love of Jesus. Linda has made recent changes to the podcast so that we can reflect and pray about the work we do with our students. You will leave each episode feeling inspired!

A huge blessing
This podcast is such a blessing! I love that Linda gives Biblical and practical advice for teachers. Her wisdom is from God and His word. Itā€™s not just a ā€œfeel-good messageā€ for teachers that tells us what we want to hear. Linda truly displays a passion for helping teachers in a biblical way. If you are a teacher and a follower of Christ, this podcast is for you!

Good for new teachers
This podcasts covers many important topics. This would be great for new teachers to listen to. I love that she is a Christian and talks a little bit about that, but her advice is useful to everyone regardless of their beliefs. She also has a very pleasant voice.

Speaks to my teacher heart
As a public school teacher, I so appreciate Linda and her wonderful ideas for bringing my faith quietly in the classroom through my thoughts and actions. She is the only Christian teacher voice I have that combines faith and the classroom. She has been such an encouragement during COVID and I think my favorite episode ever was her recent one on racial justice with her interview. She gives just what teachers need and Iā€™m so grateful to her!

Encouraging, meaningful and relevant
I have often felt conflicted as a Christian and music teacher in a public school system. I have also struggled with classroom management and finding a healthy balance between my roles as a Jesus follower, wife, mother, musician and teacher. I so appreciate how this podcast and the teachings from this group have helped me stay grounded in what is most important in every area of my life. Looking forward to greater transformation in my ability to be effective in all that I do.

Game changer
This podcast is so helpful! As Iā€™m debriefing on my way home from school or prepping for the day ahead I glean from Lindaā€™s wisdom! It is so great to get outside perspective on how to be a good steward of my classroom.

Thankful
In 2014, I moved back to my home state of Maine. I had come from Idaho and a district which still had set curriculum, consequences for behavior, and a respect for teachers as the authority in the classroom. This shifted quickly in my new district, as I had no set Language Arts curriculum, consequences of behavior meant extra work for the teacher (complicated and time consuming behavior plans), and teacher authority was replaced with student centered classrooms. I actually was very familiar with all the theory, as I had recently completed a masterā€™s degree, and it all sounded wonderfully progressive. I then saw it in practice and experienced it first hand for four years. That is what led me to Teach 4 the Heart, as I was experiencing classroom management struggles like I was a brand new teacher. I completed the classroom management course, and it saved my sanity for that year. I spent far less time on things that did not matter in my classroom, became more proficient with the daily tasks, and spent far more time at the start of the year laying a foundation of routines, expectations, and building rapport with my students. Thank you ever so much for your help!

Refreshing
I have found this really encouraging to listen to. Iā€™m returning to the classroom after burning out 4 years ago, and this has been so helpful as I prepare to be a more balanced teacher this time around.

The little things add up
I want to like this podcast, I really do. The episode concepts are creative. Unfortunately, the episodes themselves are hit or miss. There are also quite a few ā€œlittle thingsā€ that distract me during the podcast. The interviews feel very forced and not authentic - lots of ā€œthatā€™s awesome!ā€ responses followed by a quick turn to the next pre-planned question. Awkward flow, but usually some good answers. And there is a phone ding in almost every episode. Sometimes multiple dings. I see the value in promoting the website during the podcast because the content is related. However, it feels like the website is a better resource and the podcast is only a way to direct traffic there.

Love the scriptural connections to our profession
Very restorative viewpoint recharging is important for us to do because students are sponges and they absorb so much of us.

Sound wisdom and sharing for anyone working with children. I donā€™t share all of her religious beliefs and yet I am able to get a ton of value out of these podcasts. Thank you!

Great info!
I needed to hear this! Iā€™ve spent 15 years teaching grades 6-12 (English/Language Arts) and I enjoyed listening to your ideas and action steps, especially the episodes around classroom management, which are always timely!). The style of podcast as well as the actual information is uplifting but real at the same time. Keep it up!
Great info!
New Teacher Superfood
As a brandnew teacher about to start in the middle of the year after recently graduating from college, I am looking for the superfood teaching strategies I need that will help me to grow in techniques that will best support my students and help them to become all they are meant to become. I love how the heart of these podcasts are for the complete good of the student and their hearts as children of God!! Thank you so much!

Nice podcast until Christian message came along
Lots of good info here but going to unsubscribe as the ā€œbringing kids to Jesus stuffā€ is not my thing. Iā€™m more about leaving religion out of public schools (and teaching podcasts).

This is my very favorite teaching podcast! I have found it so helpful when I need encouragement and/or information about a topic I've been thinking about. I enjoy her way of sharing materials. I'm not one to like two people interviewing all the time. With Teach 4 the Heart you get straight talk with out a bunch of lalalala.

Inspiring and realistic
I'm listening to this series during the summer before my second year of teaching. I'm feeling inspired, motivated, and empowered by her realistic and personal approach. She offers a good balance of advice for teachers of various grade levels, not just elementary teachers. The spiritual tips are also incredibly helpful and appreciated.

My Top Three Favorite Education Podcast!
This a great podcast. It is in the top 3 of my favorite podcasts. It is very uplifting and I like how Linda adds faith and Christian principles to her podcasts and all her information. That is what I like most because it is a very difficult find this kind of support for Christian teachers. Keep up the good work.

Much appreciated
So glad to have found this podcast focusing on secondary teachers, something that's really lacking in the educational podcast searches I've done. As a first year teacher, I'm so grateful for the specific and easy to implement strategies! Thank you Linda for presenting teaching as a way of shepherding our students' hearts as well.
