I get so much from this series and encourage others to give it a try. Everyone of the other reviews share my experience with this podcast series.

I'm a never before coder wanting to expand my skill set as computers are involved in EVERYTHING now. Wahid takes a complicated subject and makes it easy to understand in nice little informational nuggets.

I am relatively late to learning about how computers and programming works but have started college classes and have begun learning. I have grown to love the Take Up Code podcasts because Mr. Tanner breaks down topics to a basic-level but without losing depth in the reason for learning that topic or its uses. I am so glad to have found these podcasts!

Simple, to the point with no dumb jokes, bad pronunciation and vulgarity. I recommend for all.

Wahid Tanner does a great job explaining complex topics in a way that makes sense. He provides a unique mix of high-level discussion and in-depth exploration into each topic. I especially like how he gives context to the way things work and explains why certain conventions are followed instead of just saying “that’s just how it is”. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been trying to learn this forever with no luck. Then I found this podcasts where he explains everything perfectly AND I’m able to listen at work and take notes. Awesome! I’ve learned so much already :)

THe hosts smooth as honey voice takes you from subject to subject in an efficient manner that is clear and concise. Each episode is based off of one subject that allows the listener to relax and listen and learn. Subscribed

This is an awesome podcast for anyone interested in learning programming. The host does a good job explaining concepts and uses helpful analogies. This podcast has supplemented my own learning and has helped make some concepts more clear. I highly recommend!

This is a great podcast for someone who is curious about programming and the opportunities it could lead to. The host speaks very clearly and at an easy pace to follow. He also uses analogies to make the technical information easier to digest and wrap your head around.

Just discovered this podcast. I've been self learning to program for almost two years now, and this show fills in the small gaps of my limited computer knowledge.

Really enjoyed the podcast, great for people getting into the topic who have little experience with it

When I initially stumped into this podcast I considered it a beginner level podcast but as the host went through the various patterns I found myself learning so much, looking forward to the next episode and recommending to others. The Q&A topic of "can I learn to code if I'm stupid" really hit home for me so much so that I had to write in to support this excellent podcast. I highly recommend it for developers of all levels from senior to those thinking of getting into coding.

I am not a developer but do enjoy dabbling in code from time to time. These lessons have helped me understand the fundamentals of programming easier then reading in a book. Thank you and keep up the good work.

This is a very informative and educational podcast, even for experienced programmers. An example would be a recent podcast on operator precedence. I didn't think I would get much out of the episode, but was intrigued to hear some excellent advice regarding the order in which methods are called. Wahid Tanner has an excellent way of describing obscure issues such as this with ease and clarity. I wish I had this podcast years ago when I was first learning! My only complaint would be the somewhat repetitive promotional segments. They are short, but are repeated every podcast, so if you get a day or two behind and listen to several in a row to catch up it gets a bit annoying.

I am 50-some years old. I learned COBOL back in high school and that was the last time I did anything with code. My husband tried to teach me but he used techie-speak and I soon zoned-out because it was a foreign language. I saw this while searching for new podcasts to listen to and thought I would try it. So far, so good! I actually get what is being said the first time! I'm about to try the Word Game and we'll see how that goes. Thank you for making this understandable!

As someone who has done a fair amount of programming in the past, this podcast provides great tangible and practical information that you can everyday as a programmer - a must listen to podcast - Well done Wahid!
