Janky audio
I enjoy the show, but the audio is ALWAYS janky, not good, randomly super loud, then super quiet. If the host could get his mic sorted, it would be an awesome show.

This Show is a Bummer
Patrick Egan operates an indispensable website detailing most of the relevant news in the unmanned aircraft industry. However, he doesn't seem to 'get it' when it comes to hosting a podcast. When guests are talking about what they're there for, Mr. Egan types away in the background, or he's changing a tire, or delivering a baby, or doing something other than paying attention to the guest. When the guest is through speaking, he'll spout a generic "wow, that's interesting stuff" or "Yeah, well, y'know...", then he'll launch into a tirade about Popular Dilemma X or a quasi-related conundrum with a loose attachment to what the guest was just saying. He's very VERY cynical and sarcastic, and he's actually painful to hear sometimes. He isn't very negative though, so that's a plus. But unfortunately, he frequently pollutes the information the show is conveying with his childish behavior. He sounds exactly like Christian Slater in the movie "Pump Up the Volume", and I think he might be doing it on purpose... His non-existent co-host, Gene, never says a peep during the podcast, even when there's dead air and a co-host is supposed to jump in- that's the POINT of having a co-host! When an aircraft plummets from the sky because the pilot fell asleep, the copilot is supposed to... Oh, nevermind. So, UAS News used to have sponsors, but they seemed to have dropped sUAS because Pat's delivery during pre-recorded spots has him going *sigh* and *tsk* all the way through in the background! How clueless! MUTE YOUR MIC if you feel a conniption fit bubbling up! Mr. Egan: you are a busy-sounding guy with obviously too much on his plate. The sUAS podcast is far too important to be so haphazardly and lackadaisically managed. The future of America is depending on YOU to be the voice of rational discourse for a technology so far advanced (or far too simple) to be understood by the common citizen or politician. You probably have Mike Savage or Sean Hannity on in the background while you're doing your daily routine, because you have the EXACT same vocal metering and cadence as they do. You need to stop that. Or, you need to find another host for the podcast so you can concentrate on the website. I wish there was another podcast to listen to about civilian drones, but considering it's the only game in town, its worth it to tolerate the host's antics.
