Amazing stories
Iโ€™m a non-trad admitted DO from NJ. I start med school in my home state in a couple of months. Listening to these podcasts has been informative and helpful in allowing me to see the different fields that medicine has to offer. I have enjoyed listening to different stories of the day to day life of physicians and it has made me to reflect deeper on what kind of physician I might want to be.

Very Informative
As a non-trad trying to make decisions that will not only affect my life but the lives of my husband and children forever, this podcast has been so valuable as I weigh the pros and cons of each specialty! I love getting the insight and perspective into different specialties from physicians who are actually living and working in that lifestyle. Thank you for hosting!!

Enlightening
Very informative information from experts in the field. I loved session 6. She was so deep and philosophical! I love how all the DRs compliment your choice of questions, it paints a good picture of their lifestyle.

Amazing Podcast
This podcast has influenced beyond simple understanding. Every morning at my Junior college I would go to study and on the way I would listen to specialty stories and the Pre med years. Nonetheless this has influenced me to apply to Harvard as a transfer and I got it!!! I will be attending and the class of 2020. Dr Ryan Gray also influenced me to attend the the UCD health conference and it was amazing. thank you for everything !!!

Great Podcast
I just started listening to the first 8 or so episodes of this podcast. I love the brevity, the questions he asks, he asks everyone the same questions as he says so we can compare specialties apples to apples. This is definitely helping me decide what to do and even learn more about medicine and other specialties I may not join but will work alongside in the future. Highly recommend!

Fascinating Stories
The interviews are incredibly helpful for anyone thinking through specialties, and even for those who are not involved in medicine. My favorite of the MedEd podcasts.

11/10!
Ryan Gray does an amazing job interviewing a wide variety of medical specialties, including ones I've never heard of. Every medical student should give this a listen, especially if they're not sure what specialty to choose.

well done
You will hear doctors, residents, fellows talk about their field, their day to day work, etc... It has been helpful for me, thanks. Shorter format than "undifferentiated".

Great follow up to The Pre Med Years
I listened to Dr. Gray's first podcast religiously throughout my premedical studies and application process. This new podcast is equally informative and helpful as I start medical school and plan for rotations. The variety of specialties has been wide, and each week he asks a similar series of questions so that a listener can come away with a well rounded understanding of key differences among specialties, from training involved to a "typical day," to opportunities within the specialty. Highly recommended!

"Awesome" (Dr. Gray voice)
The Premed HQ podcast kept me motivated and informed throughout the application process. As a soon to be M1, this is already a great resource to get to know specialties better. Amazing podcast!!!!

Med students need this
Dr. Gray does it again with another great podcast for med and pre-med students alike. I love the quick and dirty interviews with all the specialties. Seeing is believing, but there are just too many speialties to easily see them all these days, and this podcast is helping med student fill in their experiential gaps. Also, you just don't know what you don't know about a specialty until you hear the expert say it out loud. Totally dig these converations :)

My favorite podcast already
As a first year medical student, I find this podcast fantastic! Even if it's about a specialty I don't plan on trying out, it's still fascinating to listen to their life experiences. 10/10

Amazing!
Holy crap! This podcast is AMAZING! What is the first thing you're asked when you say you want to be a doctor? Yep; "oh cool, what kind of doctor do you want to be?" Not even considering how loaded that question is! What an excellent resource this podcast is for people wanting to know more about the VAST number of specialties out there. Beyond that, what a great way for healthcare professionals to learn about what that doctor really does over in the other department. Seriously, can't say it enough, THANK YOU for this podcast!

LOVE IT!
This is such a great podcast (just like the pre-med years!) I was anxiously awaiting its arrival and I was thinking "he will never mention pathology, my career goal" and there it was! The first episode! Even better, she was a type of pathologist that I've been trying to find who combines pathology and patient interaction. Thank you so much for introducing me to the specialty that is probably for me!
