They finally got rid of the dude screaming about tacos of Texas at me every 3 minutes or less.

After reading the complaints about too many promos, we cut them by more than half. If you hear one at all, it’ll be at the beginning of a song only. KUTX is a public radio station so we do have to find ways to make what we do (play awesome music and support those artists) possible. Thanks for listening and supporting the Austin Music Experience. Used to be music. Now it's all ads. Worse than regular radio, cuz there the come every 2 or 3 minutes. If this is a "public" radio station make sure you don't send them any money.

The adds between all songs make it hard to listen to.

Now they talk at the front and back ends promoting their other podcasts. There's frequently good music here but they ruined a great thing when they started doing this. Unlike other radio stations, they also don't respond when you try to communicate with them.

I had to unsubscribe. The radio station gets these from the artists, with the artist exchanging the rights for a bit of promotion, which I love. But it's beein coapted by the desire to pitch the "This Song" podcast. If you download these songs, and listen to several of them at once, as I do, you'll here a ton of advertising. Not very public radio-y if you ask me.

I like the songs but the repetitive promotions for their other podcasts is just too much. The promotions rarely vary and distract from the song of the day. Sadly, after a few months I am unsubscribing.

I really like some of the music that is shared on this podcast, but it is frustrating that they backsell and frontsell other station podcasts. I liked it much more when there was just a song. I could even tolerate the intro to the song. Right now, I have to fast forward through the ads. I would appreciate less selling and more about the music.

Great song of the day archive until 5/1/2018 when KUTX added an extremely annoying minute plus of a talking intro that ruined the podcast. Still worth subscribing for an archive of hundreds of live and recorded songs from a wide and deep collection, but the usefulness ends 5/1. Unless KUTX is legally obligated to include that talking intro, they should kill it and go back to the song only. It is really not good.

Why add the intro at the start??? Just play the darn song like you were doing. It’s not about you. You’ve ruined this podcast w the intros. Unsubscribe.
