I really like Sandra Daugherty's style- she's positive, heartfelt, and knowledgeable.

I wish it would come back. I absolutely love the conversations Sandra had. Very helpful in life listening alone, but even better as a conversation starter listening with a partner.

I think of this podcast as a service to the society. Because at the same time it’s fun, it’s also informative and open-minded. Thank you, Sandra, for being so natural about sex, for your positivity. Sandra Daugherty has really gone down hill with her hosting since the show began. She has brough politics and So-Cal leftist bias into the conversation around a sex postivie world. I fell in love with the show after listing to the first two years worth of episodes (I was a late starter). I decided to jump ahead and check out the 2016 episodes and what worth they would bring to my life and my relationship. I was very disappointed, dissatisfied and upset that Sanda decided to change the underlying points of the show. I have decided to opt out of any more episodes and I will no longer listen. Furthermore, I am leaving a low review for the distasteful show and I will be sure to spread the word to other known listeners and to social media, as well as placing low reviews on other podcast review sites. Very disappointed. On a side note, I have never liked the co-host - since the very beginning he has come off as very annoying and big-headed. I couldn't help but laugh at his scrawny and dorky looks when I Googled what he looks like. To both Sandra and the duffy co-host. You had a good run, but I think it's high time you hung up your gloves and find something else your good at.

Entertaining and funny. It's a bit raunchy for some, but I think not over the top. I think some of the episode are hilarious.

Lots of off topic prattle and outbursts of stupid laughter that distort the audio. Not much real content to warrant a hour show.

This podcast is awesome, and explores topics relating to all aspects of sexuality and then some. I enjoy the way the host of this podcast, Sandra, is able to keep the episodes light and fun even though some of the topics they deal with can be very foreign to some people. Overall, I'm waiting for new episodes of this podcast and am pretty bummed out that such an amazing show has stopped producing such great shows.

I stumbled upon this podcast back in late 2011 and have listened to it off and on ever since. There have been ups and downs along the way, and at one point I stopped listening for almost 2 years. However, I’ve come back to this podcast more recently and discovered a new love for Sandra. In the beginning, I found the episodes fascinating because she would delve into toys, lubes, good oral tricks and tips, and so many other topics I found functionally useful. I wandered away from the show as she brought on guests where instead of information, the conversation simply wandered. However, in more recent times, she has begun to keep structure to her show. I find her show informative in a totally different manner now. She talk in-depth and touches issues that opens my mind to very different views of the human sexual experience. Listening to her show has made me interested in exploring the sexual self as well as becoming much more aware and accepting of other sexual opinions and preferences. Thank you, Sandra, for being awesome! KEEP IT UP!

Sandra is a great and enthusiastic host that doesn't seem afraid to bring her personal life into the show in order to help bring up difficult topics like sex and depression. Also, her bringing comedians on the show balances out the science aspects of the podcast so that there are super-technical heavy podcasts and light, conversational, funny podcasts.

Sandra is great and puts out a fun and informative show. I actually had the pleasure of meeting her when she was out to NYC in October 2015. But then we get to my problem. There was no episodes for months after that (maybe it was something I said in meeting lol). Not even the Brooklyn show was released until just about a month ago. She promised to be putting out shows more regularly but now it’s been a couple weeks. Really, I think most of us just miss you, Sandra!! So keep up the great work…and do visit us again here on the east coast! :)

expert sex advice… not taken TOOOOO seriously.

I was a fan. I was looking for some different human sexuality podcasts to compliment my weekly diet of Savage Love. Listened to this on a recommendation from my fiancé. But when she began to have her (what could best be described as a) breakdown, and made this huge drama of how she didn’t want to be one thing anymore, but she wanted to be this other thing (“I don’t want to be a sex nerd anymore…” Okay, sweets.) - except absolutely nothing has changed - I started to see the cracks. I honestly wonder if she’s different in person, if you see her at her live events. I wouldn’t be opposed to taking one of her seminars, because she’s fun and plucky and knowledgable, but… On the podcast, she’s sore for an editor and a lead sheet so she can keep herself on topic.

Live shows are fun a engaging. Taped shows not so much. Episodes are not consistently released.

Sandra has very knowledgable guests and keeps it interesting. Sometimes life gets in the way of releasing the podcast regularly and that just validates how it happens to all of us. I truly appreciate the opportunity to learn about topics not generally fit for open discussion in my social circles.

I have only recently begun listening to podcasts and Sandra was the one that held my interest. I just couldn't get enough. She's honest and courteous about her subject matter.

Super informative

Very enjoyable and informative show. Sandra is a great host and the topics are usually interesting. Been quite a bit of time since the last new show but the shows so far have been a lot of fun.

I love the subject matter. It's always fun to listen too. The only thing I'd say is that you guys take too long to actually get into the topic of the podcast or meander too much during. I understand that it's very conversational, but for those of us listening to a podcast...it's wayyyy too slow to listen to.

Brilliant, funny, and informative.

I can't tell you how much I desperately WANTED to love this podcast but I don't. On the sexual continuum of podcasts, I was hoping that Sex Nerd Sandra would be both informative and funny but would certainly lean more toward being informative first and funny second. In my, ever so humble opinion, I found this podcast focused on smoothing over MANY awkward moments with nervous laughter. For me, the awkward pauses and laughter created many unfortunate awkward moments, where in the opportunity to actually just let the interviewee simply discuss the topic from their point of view. To often points of discussion were lost to about 5-10 seconds of nervous awkward laughter. A simple follow up question could alleviate the sometimes negative airspace. In particular, I am referencing the episode that addressed the topic of asexuality. While I don't remember the episode number, I recall that, that particular episode could have been more informative. I had hoped to gain more knowledge from the podcast but their was so much awkward laughter that I was disappointed with the episode in general. When it's all said and done I am confused about whether the Sex Nerd Sandra Podcast is supposed to be informative or funny. I don't think being informative or funny are mutually exclusive themes. I'd love for it to be both. So what do I think would help?More attention to the interview questions and possibly even providing those questions to interviewees (in advance) would help with the flow that this podcast currently has, where the interviewees often seem taken off guard by the questions being asked. Often Sex Nerd Sandra is working with interviewees that may be used to telling their story in their own style. A direct line of questioning my throw them off if they have not had time to develop a response, in advance. That said, it's possible the podcast is doing this already. What do I know? I WANT to love Sex Nerd Sandra because the podcast addresses serious topics of sexuality that should be treated with more than, what in my opinion comes across as "seat of the pants" humor. But approached with well thought out humor with an intelligent line of questioning that makes for more effective interviews.

Kit Murray Maloney puts you at ease from the get go — she and the O’a team make it not only fun and indulgent to think about our pleasure as women, but remind us that it is a true form of self care, self love and empowerment. It’s a fantastic reminder that we should be prioritizing our pleasure as much as we do other realms of health and wellness.

I love Sandra’s curiosity and openness to all new things. It’s wonderful to learn new things with a host who is as engaged in the topic as the audience.

It’s not perfect as education or entertainment, and that’s just right. Sex is complicated, messy, weird, and yet normal, and this podcast reflects that as well as I think is possible. In my opinion, there couldn’t be a better host for this sort of show. Sandra is a wonderfully mixed bag of weirdness, and I would hate to have it any other way. My only criticism is that the show occasionally dips into an area that I don’t feel is grounded in reality, but that’s like, just my opinion, man.

Sandra is smart, funny, and saucy. Her guests are diverse and knowledgable. I learn something new and feel more comfortable about my body and sexuality every time I listen. These recent blah reviews don’t make sense to me. Sandra totally carries the show on her own. I really don’t understand the point of negative reviews anyway. Why don’t you poop in private?

I tried. But her voice drives me crazy. I don't think she's dumb, but she does come off that way too often.

I recently started listening to Sandras podcast and fell in love with it! I work in a place where I can listen to my IPod all day long and she is litterally all I listen to and makes my work day go by faster! I really enjoy the guests she has on the show there's a lot of information to take in even though some people don't enjoy the off topic rants I love them because there's so much to explore and so much to take in sometimes you just end up off topic but that's what happens when you're learning new things! Keep Up the great work Sandra!

Several episodes seemed boring-- even when talking about really interesting stuff! Disappointing. Also, the several episodes I listened to were really unfocused interviews and really one dimensional. I feel like this has potential with better interview-- more research, more background, better guests (more diversity) and some reason why Sandra is a sexpert.... Maybe that's the problem, she doesn't appear to be any type of expert.

I got very excited to find this podcast a few weeks ago and diligently marked every back-episode that I wanted to listen to. At this point I've listened to about ten episodes, from different points in the show's run, with and without Dave as the co-host. I'm sorry to report that the show just is not that good. Sandra seems to change from episode to episode, sometimes brash and flighty and at other times withdrawn and meek -- and for the record, "meek" really doesn't work for hosting a sex podcast. The show seems to really have a hard time staying on topic, which is painful when you consider that the running time routinely goes over 60 minutes. The whole production needs more polish; right now there is a lot of "dead air" that's not being edited out where we're just waiting for people to talk. I listened to one show about a really interesting topic I wanted to hear about, only to get 30 minutes in and we still weren't talking about it yet. The interview with Grant Stoddard was mind-numbingly painful to listen to, just an unedited, rambling upload from whatever recording device that Sandra took with her to Grant's hotel room. Grant had a bottle of wine waiting and was (maybe?) thinking he could seduce her after they were done talking -- which lead to her being awkward and uncomfortable for a lot of the interview after she picked up on that. While I certainly understand why she would feel that way, again, "awkward" and "uncomfortable" ... maybe not the best things for your sex podcast. Why was this episode even aired? Sandra, please, for your safety and for our sanity, don't go to hotel rooms to give "interviews". Have your guests come into the studio. I'm not a sex instructor and even I know that. There's a lot of potential here and I applaud Sandra for her "sex positive" attitude and what she's trying to do. But right now there are just tighter and more interesting podcasts out there.

I truly love how all over the place every topic is, maybe because I myself am all over the place. It's entertaining, enjoyable, funny and educational. I appreciate how informative the episodes are and makes my way of thinking seem normal when almost everyone around me makes it seem weird and abnormal. Its nice to know other people share the outgoing nature of sex and have fun with it. The topics can be serious and most may disagree with the loss commentary the host have in discussing some things, but if we can't have fun with something as simple as sex, then why live!
