When I had my first child, I found the Risen Motherhood book, which provided so much encouragement. Every day that I read I felt lighter and more confident. Then I was sad once the book was done, until I discovered there was also a podcast! Then I gave a little hallelujah dance, and began to get my weekly encouragement fix. Hooray hooray hooray for Risen Motherhood!

I started listening a couple years ago after I had my first child based on the recommendations from a couple of my friends. I kept listening to the episodes as they were released and my recurring reaction was “woah, this is good stuff to think about as my kid(s) get older.” Then, I went back into the archives to listen to some of the early conversations surrounding the little years. Oh boy, do these hit home as I work in an income-producing job with a 2.5 yr old and 5 mo old! Don’t get me wrong - the newer episodes are good whether I’m a toddler mom or just a mom in general. The early episodes have helped me feel less on an island and more validated that my experiences aren’t just my own - other moms have gone through (and are still going through) the same experiences with potty training, postpartum body image, you name it. I love the gospel-centered realness Risen Motherhood brings to my daily commutes.

About a year ago when I was pregnant with my first, I searched for a podcast on motherhood that was biblically centered. I was looking for ways to apply gospel to everyday life as a mother in addition to normal motherhood advice. This is the only podcast that I found that really moved me. I started all the way back on the first episode and am have been making my way through. Not only do these episodes help remind you of God’s glory and goodness when you’re stressed or overwhelmed, but they also help with everyday problems. Because my little is a couple seasons behind their kids, it helps me prepare ahead of time. I can try my best now to prepare answers to hard questions, ways to address complicated topics, and having grace in difficult moments of motherhood.

The Abundance series really met me where I’m at. Emily and Laura are very relatable and always bring it back to Jesus. The best thing about this podcast is not that it make me want to binge-listen, but it actually increases my desire for spending time in the Word.

This podcast is fantastic! They are real down-to-earth mama’s serving Jesus and their families the best they can. If you’re looking for a new podcast- 10/10 recommend this one! I love that they not only give you the “me too” moments, but also gracefully point us back to our Savior, the only One who can really make a difference in our lives!

I was feeling so defeated in my motherhood. I felt alone, like I was struggling with something that was my dream for my whole life. Why is this so hard? Why am I doing wrong? I don’t usually listen to podcasts, but I found myself desperate for something to change the path I was on. I started with the Abundance series listening for some encouragement that might help me get out of the rut I had found myself in. I heard encouragement with every episode. In the last two weeks, I have found myself ministering to my daughter, witnessing to other moms, and no longer feeling defeated. I am so thankful for this podcast. I am finding myself closer to God closer to my daughter every day. Thank you for sharing these conversations!!!!

I have followed Risen Motherhood for a while, but finally listened to a podcast. 🤯After listening to one episode I decided to deep dive back to the beginning of their show. I have been listening to the podcast on my drive to and from work and I overall feel calmer and ready to tackle the craziness of coming home to my 1&3 year old. Not perfect, but I feel more patient and understanding. We’ll see how fast I catch up to the current episodes and have to wait for the next one!

This is exactly what I needed and more. As a first time mom, I find myself getting knocked off my feet over and over again by my own imperfect self and how that can be revealed through motherhood. I am so in need of God’s grace and this show has helped me receive it and be transformed by it. I truly believe your show is helping me become a better mom. Thank you for your wisdom and honesty!

I’m so thankful I found this podcast + book! As a new mother who is trying to navigate being wife, stay at home mom, and Christian; this podcast is great.

I love this podcast! I love the combination of a biblical perspective coupled with the grace and relatability that both Emily and Laura offer. These moms are in the trenches seeking to encourage other moms just like them to pursue godliness in the midst of the challenges of parenting. They continue to point me to the gospel in my feeble parenting efforts, which is so refreshing…especially when I fall short! This podcast makes me laugh, cry, and do the difficult heart work needed to grow to be a mom who looks more like Christ.

This podcast is one of my favorites. So much relatability but not a bit of excuse to keep wallowing in our current state. Always, that encouragement to continue working and allowing Jesus to sanctify us!

This ministry has been so helpful as I journey motherhood these last 4 years. I look forward to the podcasts and can’t recommend the book enough. This particular mini series on Grief was much needed. I am 34 and for the last 3 years I have been battling breast cancer. I was pregnant when I was diagnosed and have done every treatment imaginable. Hearing a gospel centered take on motherhood and grief has brought so much peace to my soul.

I’ve listened to the podcast for my 6+ years of motherhood and its been a constant reference, resource and encouragement as I’ve moved through each season of motherhood. It has truly made motherhood lesson lonely as I’ve had Laura and Emily to look to as mentors. Thank you for all you do!

I am new to Risen Motherhood. I am also new to motherhood. As the mama to a sweet and feisty 10 month old, I struggle so much with making time for things. Their prayer series from a while back has really helped me to put it all in perspective. How to cultivate prayer in my life and in my home. I enjoyed their ideas, encouragement and truths. I have started listening in my way to and from work. So thankful for this gospel centered, encouraging and real motherhood podcast. My child may still be little but they are relatable even to me now and give me so many ideas for the future as well.

As a mom with a neurodivergent toddler, I really appreciated Emily sharing a little about the experiences with that as a mom. It can feel very isolating, and it was really uplifting and encouraging to hear someone with similar experiences.

I am a mom of a 1 year old and have another on the way. I try to tell every mom with young kids about this podcast and their book. They are gospel centered on every topic they discuss and seek to apply the gospel to many components of motherhood. As a new mom their book and podcast has helped me form my view and pushes me toward God’s Word. This podcast is truly a gift and I would recommend it to any mom!

Listening to these women share their vulnerabilities and experiences with motherhood has been life changing for me. I strive to walk with Christ in motherhood now instead of feeling overwhelmed. I strive to run to Jesus in the midst of our chaos and choose everyday to lead my kids in worshiping and glorifying him! Thank you so much ladies for helping get back on the right path, not only with motherhood, but my entire life.

Emily and Laura do such a great job discussing relevant and needed topics in way that relates, convicts, and ultimately, leaves me inspired to pursue Jesus in all aspects of motherhood. I have enjoyed what I’ve heard so much I just bought their book “Risen Motherhood” and can’t wait to dive in!

If you are looking for a group of Godly loving faith filled women!! Then this is your podcast. They tough on many subjects, becuase the bible touches all aspects of our lives. They bring real world examples and have your best interest in mind. If you feel lost as a momma or just need some encouragement then this is your refuge. Come listen and hear for yourself!

I discovered this podcast in the throws of early postpartum over a year ago now. I would listen during nursing sessions, on walks with my baby, and any time I needed encouragement. I started all the way at the beginning, and I’m pretty sure I’ve listened to almost every episode now! I’ve also read the Risen Motherhood book and LOVED it. I feel so blessed by this content - I leave an episode feeling refreshed and with great ideas I can take into my everyday life. Mom life is hard, and I’m grateful for this ministry. Also, can’t encourage new listeners enough to go back to the early episodes too. (ALL of the content is amazing, but especially if you’re a mom of a baby/toddler, a lot of the early stuff will feel really relevant.) THANK YOU LAURA AND EMILY! ❤️❤️

Modern American christian feminism. They are business women who act like theologians and send their children to government schools. Not quite as bad as Beth Moore but still…comparable. They have put ministry over their families. That’s NOT what the Bible calls of women.

I’m a new stay at home mom to my baby boy, and I’ve needed to hear every word I’ve listened to with each podcast.

I’m new to listening to this podcast. This episode really Hit home for me. I have been having lack of energy lately. I work from home full time, I’m a stay at home mom, I go to school full time, I homeschool my 2 youngest kids who are 7 and 8 years old. My husband and I have not been on a date in 6 years. I have felt very overwhelmed. I have been having health issues. Thank ladies you ladies are amazing love your podcast.

I scrolled way back to catch up, and I’m only a few episodes in, but I am already loving these ladies. They’re so raw and real. They’re saying some things that we all think and, honestly, feel guilty when we do. But it’s so important to surround yourself with that will encourage you that you’re not a bad mom because you’re having a hard day. I am fully in. Wish I were actually sitting with them sipping coffee and chatting. Thank you!

I have been listening to this podcast for 5 years now and it’s always such an encouragement to me! I read their book a few years ago and am now leading my second Risen Motherhood book club with some younger moms.

I’ve only been listening a week thanks to a friend recommending it and wow it’s the most Biblical podcast on motherhood/marriage that I’ve come across and I’ve already learned so many helpful things and I would recommend this again and again!! Definitely give it a try ❤️

When I became pregnant with my first my wonderful SIL introduced me to Risen Motherhood. Since then I feel like this community has been along side me every step of the way. Applying the truth of the Gospel to every day moments of motherhood and just life in general has been such a positive in my life. Loving the new season and cannot wait for the next episode!

They talk about deep & sometimes hard spiritual truths in a way that is relatable, encouraging, and humorous without diluting or forgoing the sacredness of Scripture - a rare find!! My sister had already been loving RM & I would listen to some of their Q&A episodes before I was even pregnant, so when I found out I was expecting my first child this past spring one of the things I was excited about was being able to relate to more of the podcast episodes(haha!) - it’s that great 🤎
