Shout out to normal parents!
Found this podcast a couple weeks ago and I am really enjoying listening to Joe and Anea’s experiences. They choose really unique topics to talk about the good the bad AND the ugly but it’s discussed from a very realistic and forgiving perspective. As a new parent I feel a lot of pressure to do everything right and to be a completely perfect parent and this podcast really receives a lot of that pressure for me. This podcast is a lot more like hanging out with some friends and having a friendly chat about the struggles of parenting. Keep it up guys and thank you for your hard work!

Hi I love that you are not a couple and both female and male, it’s great I came across your podcast a few months ago and share as often as possible. Thank you! Veronica from CA

Big Emotions in front of little minds.
I’m a bit of a podcast junkie and have been Loki h for a podcast about parenting & children. Your podcast on Big Emotions in front of little minds...may be the most impactful podcast I’ve ever listened to. I’ve listened to it three times in a row. Very grateful for podcast and I’m very excited to continue listening.

LOVE this
Very helpful, serious topics with concrete advice and a little humor. I also highly recommend Anea Bogue's book, 9 Ways We're Screwing Up Our Girls and How We Can Stop: A Guide to Helping Girls Reach Their Highest Potential. A great resource!

Joe... slow your roll.
Love listening to this podcast but I do agree with another review in that Joe... you interrupt a lot! And you do ramble on and it takes away from the information that Anea is trying to provide. It’s like she takes a step forward in the conversation and Joe, you take it back two. She has a lot of patience. She has a lot of great points, but at some point I, personally get frustrated and want Joe to stop interrupting and get to the point. One example turns to three and Anea is always saying “yup”, “right”, “yes” to be nice and allowing you to finish.....Subject focused and short and sweet is so important.

Too Much “Stuff” Not Enough Substance
I originally gave this podcast 5 stars and a rave review (I mentioned in the old review that my son was 2 months old; he’s now 1.5 years old), but I can hardly listen now. There’s so much interrupting from Joe and long examples that fail to illustrate Anea’s actual “point” because he didn’t finish letting her make it! This happens often. I’m saddened by how often Anea is cut off, since she’s the one that offers the most valuable input. This isn’t to say that Joe offers no value. He does illustrate and sum up points effectively, but there is way to much not-so-funny interjections that result in a complete loss of whatever Anea was going to say. They never seem to circle back after the interruption. Also, they recently had a guest on the show (“Who Changed Math?”), and they both constantly interrupted him for quips and input that wasn’t needed. For a show that talks about respecting other’s beliefs, inputs, etc. they didn’t do that with this guy. He would be on the cusp of making an interesting point and then a rude interruption forced him to “mmhmm mmhmm” for 3 minutes while his valuable input was buried under non-substantive “stuff.” In sum, this show has great things to offer. But I’m estimating that there’s a total of, gosh, 7 minutes per episode of valuable, thoughtful, interesting information. The rest of the time is full of ads, quips, and interruptions. I used to love this show a lot, but I’m getting tired of it.

Must listen for any parent!
My wife and I are expecting a new little one and have been listening almost non-stop to this podcast. Each episode is great and provides so many learning opportunities, suggestions and advice on being a rad parent.

Fantastic!
I never write reviews, but I had to write one for Rad Parenting. Joe and Anea have a fantastic outlook on parenting, and they provide rock solid advice to help you become a better parent. Their advice is practical, easy to implement, and effective! I love that they are both genuine and open about their own parenting challenges, usually in a humorous way, which makes you realize no parent is perfect. Joe always makes me laugh and Anea honestly provides the most well articulated, clear advice I have ever heard. Thank you, Joe and Anea, for your compassionate and thoughtful dialogue on parenting. Keep up the amazing work!

So helpful!
I just started listening to this podcast. I recently moved in with my significant other who has an 11 year old daughter and I have no kids of my own. I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing and it is SO intimidating. This podcast has been AMAZING for me and has given me helpful advice as well as validating my worries and helping me realize what I already know. Thanks for being awesome guys!

My favorite parenting podcast
I love this fun, quick-paced podcast. Each week is a different topic and the hosts provide a great balance of light-hearted fun and serious education. So glad they decided to do a podcast togehter and I hope it continues. I recommend it to all my parent friends!

New Dad, Big Fan
I’ve listened to a few parenting podcasts before the little one came but many were too talky about what they were doing as a pride point (“as a mother”) and the only one that resonated with me and I’ve stuck to is Rad Parenting. It’s a good balance of academic and real-world information and experience that feels genuine rather than a couple of parents trying to seem superior (“I ALWAYS have my kids down by 7pm and they sleep through the whole night!”). Thanks Rad Parenting

Just started listening
I have an 8 month old and my husband started listening to this as I was pregnant and told me I had to listen. I tend to catastrophize (always assuming the worst) and worry a lot about how I am going to handle things with my daughter. Even though I cannot use a lot of their teachings right away I truly believe this is preparing me for parenting. The hosts have great humor/energy and the topics are so very relevant that I believe will stand the test of time. Overall great podcast. Good job guys!!

I can’t here you
Joe, seriously, I can’t hear you during most of the podcast. I love podcasts, and I might like yours, but Joe talks so low during most of the podcast that I’m constantly turning up and down the volume. It’s unlistenable! I can’t listen. Post production should fix this for us.

So glad I started listening!
I’ve been really down about who I am as a mother lately(what mother doesn’t) and I decided to listen to a parenting podcast for the first time. I’m one of those people who doesn’t like information/advice shoved down my throat in one big lecture. I really love how you guys go back and forth and I just have so many “aha” moments and I’m always like “oh same” listening to y’all. I’m really happy that I started listening and I can already see myself sort of blossoming from the advice and the fun stories that are totally relatable and I LOVE that I don’t feel alone in my parenting woes anymore! You guys are amazing and you’re doing a really great job!

Great Parent-Friendly advice in small doses!
I love this podcast! Anea and Joe deliver useful tips with great chemistry for an easy listen as they tackle relevant day-to-day topics in only 30-60 min. usually. Parents with any age kids can take away powerful tools for their toolbox of life, and also hear great stories that help us feel like we're not alone with particular struggles or questions.

Thanks for the tips and laughs
Great podcast. Very helpful and also entertaining. I find one of the most exciting things about parenting is figuring out what you want to do better than your parents did and what they did that you would like to continue. This show helps me sift through those sorts of thoughts and help me learn how to parent better!

Promising
Too much talking from Joe. I almost turned it off after listening to him for a full 6 minutes before finally some “uh huh’s” from the cohost. Listened a little more but it was monopolized by Joe. Too bad because there’s some good stuff to be had in there.

It’s by far the best parenting show I’ve ever heard, best of luck to Joe & Anea! They deserve it!! I love it! Thank you!!!

Rad Advice!
This is up to date, informative parental advice! Fast paced, Joe is upbeat and energetic and the chemistry between Joe and Anea plays well off each other! This is no Beaver Cleaver advice, this is current, fresh and relevant to today’s generation. Joe is currently raising two teens, so he knows what’s up! Also, The diversity of guests will give you some great ideas about what other parents are doing and how they approach parenting and the way they solve problems. It’s a great podcast that is extremely helpful and entertaining for every parent of this generation! Check it out!!

A Parenting Shoulder to Lean On
To hear these two speak of their failures as opportunities for growth is a breath of fresh air. In a world where we live in online social echo chambers, this podcast offers open minded and multi-faceted perspectives on issues ranging from raising healthy, self-aware kids to establishing norms for your family and marriage. It’s always nice to know that there is a ray of light in the dark world of cultural identity predicated on being the best. Try this podcast (any episode) and enjoy a refreshing gulp of self-actualization after sweating out a tantrum from your kid or the ever present judgmental stink eye of observing adults across the room.

Rad Podcast
I have been listening to this podcast since it first started because I am such a huge fan of Joe Sib, as a musician, record label owner, radio DJ, and now standup. Joe brings his unique and often humorous take on parenting to this podcast. I usually find myself relating to him as I have two young children. I was not familiar with Anea before, but she has become such a great source of advice and information on parenting. Given her professional experience and Joe's real-life accounts, they bring together a wondeful platform on parenting. I have already recommended and gotten several of my punk rock parents hooked on this podcast.
