Good information and fun people!

See I’m not an obsessive fanboy for any particular console or developer, and so I won’t get weirdly mad like a handful of the most recent reviews. This group is extremely entertaining, has thoughtful discussions, tells it how it is, and just simply has fun! It’s a great video game podcast with some of the most genuine people in games media.

The entire Kinda Funny group, especially Greg has no right to EVER call himself a journalist again! Influencer absolutely but nothing more than that. Any guise of journalistic integrity need not apply since you are not journalist's after this. I could make an argument you never did truly understand the point of what journalistic integrity means. I am of course not talking about the human windfall of this, that is horrible that a people's personal info was leaked and that is not what I am talking about and most would agree that this should not be discussed. Everything else should be fair game! It's your platform and cover what you want but don't pretend your not covering the Insomniac leak for any other reason to protect/CYA with your relationship so it doesn't harm your access to Sony! Anybody getting onto others for covering the leak, especially real journalists is disgusting and should be ashamed. You had no problem covering the Nintendo, Capcom, ESA or GTA leaks so you don't get to pick and choose now without losing your integrity. YouTuber, streamer, podcaster, influencer sure but that's where it ends, journalist never again no matter how bad some of you want to try and hang onto that.

Some of the biggest PlayStation news is leaked and instead of covering the news, virtue signaling prevails. Guess I have to get my PlayStation news elsewhere now, it was a good ride.

I used to love this podcast. From the opening theme covering nearly every boot up sounds in PlayStation’s history, to Greg’s booming and infectious energy, I was hooked by Kinda Funny’s podcast. Nowadays, I’m finding myself slowly moving over to Beyond on IGN much of the same way I did from Kinda Funny’s XCast to IGN’s Unlocked. Maybe I’m just getting older, but Janet’s speed when she talks and how she goes on long talks quickly become draining. Much like another host on XCast, I would avoid episodes if that host was on it and now I just do not want to listen at all. Bless offered great perspectives on gaming, but after a while even that was not enough to keep me coming back. Which leads me to the biggest reason I’ve gone elsewhere for my PlayStation podcasting wants: This podcast is no longer fun. Maybe my perspective is skewed on this, but Kinda Funny seems to only care about The Last of Us and God of War, and no other video game is worth talking about in their eyes. Greg’s joking manner of belittling PC players like he was a member of the “PC Master Race” comes across more facetious than humorous. I don’t care about VR all that much, but even I find the hosts dismissive attitude towards the PSVR2 tone deaf because “I can play that on my other VR options” doesn’t apply to those who can only afford one VR headset. Those are some of the things I mean by this podcast is no longer fun. I wish Greg, Janet, and Bless the best and I thank all 3 of you for a wonderful ride. Sadly, this is where I get off, as I seem to have gotten my fill. XOXO

I don’t know how to describe it, but you’ll know what I mean if you’ve seen it before. Like a YouTuber feigning constant emotion, or a 23 year old CEO walking in the room saying how proud he is of “his team” after not showing up for work for 17 days without explanation. This show is now a facsimile of what came before it, sometimes the copy is fine, sometimes unreadable, always noticeable.

This show should never have been “rebooted”. Kinda funny has been dead since Colin left, Patreon numbers prove it. Save yourself the mediocrity, look up “Sacred Symbols”. Kindafunny are so out of touch. Greg isn’t an analyst, he’s a spokesperson.

It’s becoming harder and harder for me to enjoy this show. Maybe it’s my age. Maybe it’s my family and work priorities. Maybe it’s my gaming habits. Maybe it’s a combination of 2 or more of these things I’ve mentioned. The point is, I cannot derive enjoyment from listening to them as I once did. I skip shows now, and fast forward and even put the podcast in fast speed when listening to them. I understand they enjoy what they do and I am glad they get to do this and other gaming-related activities for a living. I just can’t click anymore. I can’t see myself in their shoes anymore. I think this podcast is great for younger audience and those within the influencer/YouTube/patroon/media community. I know it’s a podcast about video games but their lives revolve way too much on this. They want to raise money, they play video games. They want to enjoy life, they play video games. They are down and feeling the blues, they play video games. They have to take a dump, they play video games. They are bored, they play video games. They don’t get a game code to play for free, they’ll complain while playing video games.

I really want to like all these podcast put out by kinda funny but I hate the fake teenage verbiage they use . I’m a guy in his 40s who want to hear about games and not “giving game flowers” or “ what game are you giving with” also can we have less Janet. She talks way too fast and when she does slow down her voice is like nails on a chalk board. Janet is the perfect example of what is wrong with this generation

Hey, sorry to make a one star review, but it’s a big concern! The audio is fluctuating in horizon forbidden west 1 yr episode. Idk if it’s the volume or if it’s like an EQ setting, but w/e it is it was making me nauseous listening to it while I was driving. I know it happens at 1:10:00 to 1:14:00 if you could check on it. I can’t be getting sick behind the wheel folks…

Get blessing outta there, let him go host xcast. Dude clearly wants nothing to do with PlayStation

Boring and generic. Greg is a shell of himself and these new people sound like the same drones that you hear everywhere nowadays.

filled with spoilers and negativity, I could tolerate that if it was humorous but there is no charisma or humor to be found.

I’ve been listening to a lot of video game podcasts the past couple of years. I stumbled upon Kinda funny and crew this past year and since then I haven’t been able to listen to any of the other podcasts. You guys do a great job bringing the news and reviews while also keeping it light, funny, and just overall not overly serious. Keep up the good work kinda funny crew!

I used to listen to this show when it was from insightful opinions from industry insiders. It was funny and I leaned a lot of interesting tidbits about playstation gaming. Now its hosted by these kids who just go on rants and seem to come up with the same repetitive topics on the cuff. This show unfortunately is no longer entertaining or even Kinda Funny.

Man the addition of Janet just does not work. The joke is that her and the other host Greg are the same person because they have the same views. That makes for one terrible 2-3 hour podcast to listen to. No I’m depth discussions because they all just agree and move on. There’s never any push back or challenging hosts to defend their opinions. Not to mention, this show has devolved from industry insiders with insightful opinions, to less informed conversation that can be found anywhere. The format does not work

I wanna start with the positive before I rip these other recent reviewers a new one. I’m a picky podcast listener, and I work in entertainment myself so I’m pretty sensitive to bad hosting, content, quality, etc. This podcast crew is TOP NOTCH. They are universally funny, joyful, and goofy. The episodes are informative, the topics well chosen, and the discussions enjoyable. It’s not just a great video game podcast but a great podcast period. Greg is an agent of chaos and I love it. And now to rip the other reviewers: they seem to hate joy just as much as they love misogyny and racism. The podcast is a blast so long as you’re not the kind of pathetic little basement troll who gets triggered when a woman or POC offers their opinion. These guys need to get out of their basements and into some therapy. Don’t listen to them, listen to the podcast and make up your own mind!

The topics that are discussed and disputed on this podcasts are nothing less than entertaining, it’s just the incoherent rambling of, certain, hosts Is what dissuades me from this. The “Blessing” hosts, is not only, often in the minority with his opinions, he also has despicable taste. Would not recommend.

Saying the word “spoilers” AFTER you spoil a plot point in something is pretty thoughtless and doesn’t really seem to respect your audience. Same goes for saying “not to spoil anything” and then proceeding to do so anyway. Guess I’ll have to pick and choose which episodes I listen to from now on. Like the hosts well enough though

I love PlayStation but you guys make it so boring…. And as much as I love Greg, Blessing is just too annoying for me.

You know I used to enjoy listening to Greg talk about games but now it’s constant political views and telling people that their beliefs are wrong. I don’t care what your opinions are and I’m totally fine with you thinking the way you do but I think I deserve the same respect to not constantly be told that I am the scum of the earth because I believe a certain way. Good thing Sacred Symbols is a much better podcast anyways

Not everyone can play games when they come out. Mumbling the word ‘spoiler’ after ruining an important plot point is lazy and selfish. There are better podcasts out there that truest appreciate that.

This show was fine before they brought Janet on but unfortunately she is just not an insightful or enjoyable host to listen to. I understand not every show is for everyone, but I think in this circumstance it’s really the host that is the problem and not the content of the show. Hopefully they pay attention to what their community enjoys and make some changes, as I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. This isn’t to be mean or anything just an opinion of the show, and it’s just sad to see a show you enjoyed become something you don’t want to listen to anymore.

I’m sorry best friends but Janet is unlistenable. Her opinions are fine. I know she hates uncharted but I’m sure I hate franchises she loves so that’s not what bothers me. She talks way too fast, her voice goes right through me like nails on a chalkboard, and she’s always trying to dominate the conversation. Constantly talking over Blessing and Greg. I’m sorry but I just can’t listen to any KF content with Janet.

I think Janet needs to be added to the description. She adds an amazing third take to the discussions. Blessing and Greg are obviously amazing as well.

Once one of the best videogame podcasters around, Greg has recruited children that lack any semblance of gaming knowledge and cause every conversation to devolve into the most mundane and irrelevant nonsense possible.

Sacred symbols is way better

This podcast use to be so good when Colin was around. It was about games. They talked about video games without fear of upsetting a developer or someone else. Now it’s about politics, and very surface level talk

I hope they don’t keep Janet on here. No offense to her but blessing and Greg better just them two. I don’t like her political commentary during a video game podcast. Lame.

Blessing and Janet are incredible hosts. It’s the best PlayStation podcast out there.

I don’t know what it is about these guys, but they just seem extremely boring. Their tales are boring. Their voices are boring. It constantly feels as if they’re sucking up to Sony rather than actually being critical of the product. Out of all the Video Game podcasts I’ve listened to. This is by far the most boring.

Kinda funny are super main stream and corporate . They always have opinions the same as IGN and Game Informer. It’s almost like they want to keep them review copies coming

They talk to fast and the girl is annoying. She talks to fast and loud. Had to stop listening. Better podcasts out there.

I really liked this podcast and have no issues with the hosts but I think the last few topics of the show and the discussions surrounding them have been so so and kinda redundant with the other kinda funny games podcasts. I bet it’s tiring to try and split time and content between so many podcasts and having conversations that overlap all the time. Maybe not every weeks episode has to be the same format of tots, news rundown, patreon questions, etc? I think maybe doing more interviews with PS game devs and other games media ppl would be interesting/episodes that are more editorial and ever green topics like fav PS memories, games that you hated but later grew to love, etc.. Something to have it standalone from the rest of the kinda funny and other PlayStation podcasts.

Painful

This used to be a good podcast many years ago but now its unbearable. The continued rude interruptions from Greg not letting the other people talk is so annoying and his fake loud personality has really killed my enthusiasm for this podcast, same goes for their other podcast Kinda Funny. No interesting or truthful conversations about PlayStation games are ever made in this anymore.

Not a fan of the new line up, this was a podcast by PS fans for PS fans and now it’s not that

Greg, Blessing and Janet bring two hours worth of PlayStation content that usually yields in-depth conversations about what makes PS so special or how they could improve. There’s enough here to get your PS fix in one spot and the hosts do a great job facilitating that fix. Thanks peeps!
