Listening to a Man explain that women are “complex creatures”
I was looking for a new podcast and started with the episode of symptoms in the first 20 weeks. Middle of the episode, a male doctor is saying “women are very complex creatures. And when you put them in situations where they don’t feel well….”. Complex creatures? Shove off. You try being pregnant.

Waste of time
Yak yak yak. A lot of talking without saying anything of value. I tried 2 episodes, one on the Bradley Method and another on a different birthing method, I cannot remember the name…They were basically advertisements for the methods without actually explaining how to do them.

My holy grail pregnancy guide!
I’m a young first time mom, navigating my pregnancy journey. I lost my mom to breast cancer 2 months before finding out I was pregnant and I honestly look up to all the ladies on the show for questions I would have asked my mom. I love the variety of panelists and experts, as well as the great tips and advice! I recommend all of New Mommy Media’s podcasts!

Some good information
I do like some of the information but on many episodes they talk about basically how bad c-sections are. Even referring to the time before c-sections were performed, but what’s not mentioned is infant death during birth was MUCH higher as well. I don’t like the shame they try to put on women who had c-sections and claims that doctors aren’t educated on new studies about it.

It takes way too long to get to the point. I’ve listened to so many pregnancy podcasts and I don’t even think I can finish one of your episodes.

Folic acid ?
Please stop advertising folic acid .. we need to be preaching methylated folate . Come on ladies !

Get to the point
10 mins in an episode and they have yet to speak on the topic yet I’ve had 3 ads given to me. Seems like a waste of time. Please just get to the topic which is why I’m here. Also the information is definitely outdated. You would be better off with a different podcast

Current uploads
I really enjoy this podcast especially as a first time mom. But I can tell that a lot of episodes are uploaded that are not current, and may not apply to the time of year of the current events happening in the world. I enjoy each episode, but I would appreciate more consistency and timeliness I suppose with when they are posted, so it’s current and reliable for that time!

Wheres the website?
Love this podcast but sometimes I can tell its a re-upload and it’s not current with what is going on right now with covid. I’m having a hard time finding their website and social media ... when I search for it nothing comes up. Where can I find these resources you keep mentioning?

Mom and baby affirmations?
In a podcast you mentioned mom and baby affirmations. Where would I find that?

Covid 19
I love this podcast! More than ever though, I would really like to hear more about pregnancy and covid 19. People are not allowed to have a support team in hospitals anymore and if midwives get cancelled, like they have in other countries, what are people doing? I’d love to hear more and see more content on C19 from this team.

Sound Quality could be improved
Great podcast but the microphones peak and distort when the panel members laugh. This could be easily resolved in recording process and in the final edit.

Judgmental, Uneducated Speakers
Why are there two speakers that haven’t gone through birth before speaking? This makes no sense. Additionally, I don’t know if I just picked three moody episodes, but the judgmental words and tones are obnoxious. If you want a neutral, informative podcast that’s not judgmental and doesn’t have any “high and mighty” tones, with speakers that actually have experienced child birth, I suggest the Pregnancy Confidential podcast.

Good content buried in ads.
The podcast has great info but is buried in a ton of ads. I understand having to pay for the ads but you dint get to the content until over 10 minutes in and then there are more ads even after that. There are much better blogs.

Add galore and endorsements
I honestly wanted to believe this podcast would have helpful info but after listening to 20 episodes I was disappointed by the waisted time of adds and endorsement. In 30 mins of a show you get 20 mins of cumulative add and only 10 mins of helpful info.

Helpful and fun
Helpful and fun pregnancy discussions covering a wide range of topics. The hosts have experts to each topic and, while it’s not - and should not be - medical advice, it can give you insight into topics you might not have known to research or discuss with your care provider. One small gripe - ads are so frequent. I personally think it would make for easier listening if ads were clumped together rather than spread so frequently throughout. Overall this is great - keep it up!

First 5-10 minutes are ads
There’s some good info in this podcast but you have to scroll 5-10 minutes in to get to the actual topic or expert interview.

Well done!
I’ve been looking for a Podcast like this. It’s informative and entertaining.

Great for the need to know husband.
I decided it was in my best interest to learn a little about my wife’s pregnancy. I wanted to be more helpful in decision making and educated more on certain topics going through the 9 months w/wife. This podcast was informative using a professional opinion as well as experienced mothers! I will def be passing this on to future father friends! If I had one complaint, lose the long intro and exit but I guess they can be easily fast forwarded.

Too many adds off topic
Half of this show is adds. I understand they are necessary, but I spend half of my commute listening to adds. I’d rather get my info elsewhere. I also find that the show is off topic far too much.

New topic
I have a suggestion to do a podcast on infertility since it is on the rise big time. Or at least episodes on it, other than that love the podcast!

The best!
I listened to this podcast throughout my pregnancy and don’t know what I would have done without it. I felt much better about everything that was to come and now I’ve moved on to the next iterations from this group. Thank you for all you do to bring this information to us moms and dads. It’s so great and I’ll keep recommending to everyone I meet!

Addicted to Preggie Pals!
My name is Stephanie from St. Louis, MO. I'm a FTM due September 2017. As a first time mom I have been so obsessed with finding/learning everything I can. So glad I found Preggie Pals! I have been binge listening to Newbies, BoobGroup, and Preggie Pals. They have been so fun and informative without the stuffy feel that some mommy pod casts have. New Mommy Media is my favorite! I recommend it often to my mommy friends. A must listen for new moms!

Informative, funny, and not biased!
I absolutely love this podcast. I discovered it about 6 weeks ago and have listened to almost all the episodes so far (I have an hour commute each way for work). They provide tons of information with resources. Lots of different types of mamas and they are entertaining! Its not like listening to a lecture.

Infant feeding specialist and Mom of 2!
New Mommy Media's suite of podcasts is fantastic. Great info in language you can understand with real-live pregnant Moms in the studio so you can relate and feel supported. Lighthearted and keeps me smiling!

Great resources
I discovered this podcast when I was 35 weeks pregnant, but I still found something valuable in each episode to help me understand what was going on inside. It was especially helpful because I was a week overdue and needed a productive distraction-this was perfect for that.

Helpful and a must
Amazing- I listened to this throughout my first (and scary ;)pregnancy. It really helped to calm me down by giving me the correct information and explaining everything I was feeling and going through.

Great info but needs some work
Pros: lots of very useful info - they sometimes have really expert panelists. Also, nice hearing the experiences of different women on each episode. Cons: the preamble! Especially annoying if you're a frequent listener and hearing the same info about following them on Facebook etc every time. Please move the whole spiel about "connecting to the show" etc to the END of the podcast. I always have to fast forward. I think you lose listeners because the intro is way too long. Just get right to the meat of the conversation. Thanks!

Great info!!
My wife and I are 6 months away from our first child. I have been a huge podcast listener for a long time and thoufht that might be a great way to absorb all the I do out there when it comes to your new baby. I showed the podcast to my wife (who thinks I'm a huge dork for listening to so many podcasts) and she is hooked! She has gone back and listened to almost all of the back catalog of our show and loves it! Thanks again for all the info!!

Great roundtable discussions
I am pregnant for the first time and have felt very overwhelmed by the mass amounts of information available about pregnancy and birth. This podcast has been a great starting point for me. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because the conversations do sometimes get a little off track and I would rather hear more details on the topic at hand. While many episodes are very well crafted, I come away from some episodes thinking that I didn't really learn as much as I thought I could. On the same note, sometimes their roundtable discussions bring up things that I never thought to ask, so I am learning in that way. Finally, I would LOVE a really detailed episode about strollers. I think there may be a couple out there already, but I am left wanting to know more (safety, versatility, what the different names for strollers mean and what they are used for...). Overall, great podcast!

Love this podcast!
There are a number of pregnancy podcasts out there but only a handful are good. Preggie pals definitely makes the list. I wish I had discovered it sooner! I've heard most episodes and they're really good. Recommended!

Great for first time expectant moms!
This is so wonderful to help prepare, calm nerves, and get educated as a newly expectant first-time mom.

I'm always learning something new!
I was a dedicated Pregtastic listener with my first pregnancy, and was extremely well informed with all things pregnancy related as a result. I was sad to see that the podcast ended, but was thrilled to find that it was replaced by Preggie Pals! The content is super helpful, and even though I don't always agree with the panelists, it offers a different viewpoint than I would get from my family or friends. I highly recommend this podcast to any pregnant mom who wants more information on safe and healthy pregnancies and options available to moms.

Good information, Annoying host...
I work with a lot of pregnant women and we sit near each other and listen to podcasts about pregnancy and parenthood. We unanimously agreed that we love the information this podcast has to offer but wish there could be a different host (Sunny). Not quite sure if hormones or what that make her hard to listen to but her voice and laugh get to us :) I agree with the other reviewer I wish she would interject less and let the other panelists talk. We won't be listening anymore, on to find a new one!

More education, less about Sunny!
Listen, there's alot of good information available on this podcast and with New Mommy Media. HOWEVER. Sunny, go easy on telling us your life story. No one needs to listen to you talk about your own life and pregnancies in every single episode! Once every three to five episodes is more than enough. I want to be educated, but when you have to talk about your own situation, talk over your guests, interupt with "I'm interested!" noises at the end of every person's sentence. Every 35 minute episodes includes almost ten minutes of discussion of your life, your pregnancy, your medical situations, your choices. When you make it about YOU, the audience things that it's no longer about them, and isn't the point of this podcast to make information more widely available to pregnant women so that they can make informed, educated choices?

I am so happy Sunny is back with a new and better show. It is like meeting up with all your pregnant girlfriends, only they are all informed by experts.

Supportive and Helpful
I've been searching for a good, current pregnancy podcast and I am thrilled to have found Preggie Pals. The podcast is well organized and professional, while still maintaining the chatty, familiar feeling that I love in a podcast. Preggie Pals has a varied selection of informative, fun and very current topics that range from medical questions to baby showers. And although it is still a relatively young podcast I am confident there will be many more fantastic episodes to come.
