But what’s up with having Ankush Khardori on to give the commentary on the Trump trials? He couldn’t have been any more biased and his ignorance about the subject given his single focus showed. Definitely impacted my opinion of this show as I looked for balanced reporting. Thank goodness Ryan Lizza and Rachel Bade offset segments like this one!

Some interesting tidbits but super low production value and the host can’t seem to stop giggling and injecting partisan bias. Very unprofessional.

I find the jaunty tone offensive when reporting on grave matters of state like the potential far right take over of the speakership. You have allowed your delight as a jaded reporter watching political maneuvering to overshadow the gravity of the moment . Grow up .

It’s impossible to get past the American Petroleum Institute ad at the top of the show when we are in the throes of the climate crisis. Begging journalists and publications to draw a line in the sand.

new show isn’t as good. anyway to get rahgu back?

Not sure what happened but this used to be a quick great way to get headline news for me in the mornings. Now it’s bad jokes and bad interviews with reporters that goes to in depth. Just tell me the news quickly please. I also miss the old reporter from last summer he was great

This used to be a slick little 5 minute podcast each day, simple, but well produced. Recently they dropped all of the polish.

I could not understand a word the male host was saying today. Something about Biden disobeying Covid and Idaho people. Did they tie together?

Production value seems like it’s recorded on a phone. The new guy can’t help himself form adding in a partisan spin.

The show used to have some level of production value now it’s just feels like they’re reading. Even some. Basic production like Politico’s energy podcast snippets would be better.

The content and usefulness of this “playbook” has suffered a precipitous decline. No objective coverage , no breakdown of Washington power players - it feels like the Washington version of a supermarket gossip rag.

The first two minutes of April 27ths podcast was so laughably partisan I think I’ve officially given up on playbook. Y’all used to at least pretend to be bipartisan. On to Punchbowl.

I looked to this in the am for a quick truthful update on what’s happening. Looking for gossip? Keep it anonymous? What? Might be time to look elsewhere.

Todays episode on the “ethics” issue of Justice Thomas was so dishonest. No mention of Thomas’ responses and they insinuated he is stonewalling. Also the show has really gone down hill since the last host left.

My man needs a breathing treatment, once you hear the wheezy inhale at the start of every sentences… it’s hard to hear anything else.

I’ve always liked this show very much but I’m VERY excited to learn that the great Alex Keeney a/k/a Keendawg is joining the team. Fantastic decision, Political Playbookers.

Basically the title, no need for idiotic horoscopes on a daily news podcast. Also the cadence of the presenter’s voice is awful.

The content is usually great, but this host is difficult to listen to. His voice fluctuates and I find him hard to understand. Also speaks too fast. PS: why horoscopes?

Dislike the new long form interviews tacked on at the end of playbook. It’s unnecessary in my option, playbook is a quick dive into what’s happen in the beltway. The addition is giving knock off “Daily” podcast. Please go back to the old format.

Can you just report the news and leave the horoscope chat out? It’s a waste of time!

Please stop with the horoscopes, it’s nonsense that doesn’t belong in a show where people seek news. Might as well go full Pop-Start and give a daily Kardashian update. Do better, assume the audience aren’t all idiots that believe in astrology.

This used to be a great daily rundown of what’s happening in DC, now it’s a gossipy show that has somehow spent more time on horoscopes and birthdays than on Congress the past couple of weeks.

Next time I hear a horoscope I’m unsubscribing.

I just started this podcast and the narrator’s speaking cadence is so slow, it’s hard to listen to. I listen at 1 1/4 speed which helps a little, but please speak faster. No one naturally speaks that way! Especially when reading.

If you want to know how you are supposed to think, listen to this show. You will learn all the DNC talking points. Come here to ignore the influence peddling of Hunter Biden.

Information is interesting, although it comes off a bit biased. But most importantly, the narrator voice quality is poor and the cadence is sporadic making this report difficult to listen to.

Every episode for leg last couple weeks has been “unavailable”. I’ve listened to thousands of podcasts but have never seen this.

This podcast is just a gossip column for people who think they’re smart. I’m left leaning and sort of into politics but if you’re looking to learn and get facts that matter on topics you’re passionate about, this ain’t it. Every episode feels like i’m sitting at the nerd table in the cafeteria and gossiping about the student council.

I gave this a try, and was quite disappointed. The reporter was covering Vice President Harris‘s trip to Guatemala and her interview with Lester Holt concerning our border crisis. They played the excerpt where Holt noted that Harris has not gone to the border, after she falsely claimed “we’ve been to the border,” but cut off the recording a line early, before she said “I haven’t been to Europe either,” an inane and newsworthy response that the whole country was talking about at the time. This editing smacks of an effort to protect Harris from herself. In addition, the reporter said that Harris’s staff “reminded” reporters that women of color “face a higher bar.” That is a debatable proposition at the very least, and the contrary is true in the case of Harris, who was given the vice-presidential nomination expressly because Joe Biden declared that he would give the position to a woman of color. To be objective and neutral, the reporter should’ve said that Harris’s staff “asserted,” “claimed,” or “argued” that women of color face a higher bar. Truly weak sauce.

Don’t like new voice

I’ve been a daily listener for quite sometime and have really tried to stick with the new format but it’s much more opinion based a lot less straight forward reporting, the sound effects take away from the show. I felt before I was listening to a reputable news outlet and now feels like I’m listening to someone who assumes everyone shares their opinions and is tweeting from a basement.

I’m not sure if this new male narrator is a temporary replacement but regardless, he sounds like the Burger King foot lettuce meme. It makes it hard to listen. I

I am loving the new narrator. She is relatable and unfiltered. Exactly the evolution this show needed. Keep it up.

This podcast has gone downhill since Jake and Anna left. The new host has tries to use teenage humor and “silly” sound effects and it is extremely off-putting. This used to be a must listen if you wanted to know what was going on in DC. Now, it’s hard to listen to. Please return to the more professional approach and be less desperate to appeal to teenagers.

Appreciate the levity that this new host is bringing, while still presenting the news in a clear and straightforward way. Makes it easy to catch up on important stories, in a way that’s fun and accessible.

I really love the new Playbook host, Olivia, and her humor. Her voice is strong and her jokes are witty yet still informative and the script is really well written. I was never a daily listener before, but the podcast is fun, entertaining and perfect way to get my day started!

Nice to hear a new voice on the podcast. Crackly voices make for better punchline delivery.

I used to listen to this show a few years back, and recently have started again. I'm enjoying the content POLITICO. New host is good. Short episodes... to the point.... that's my cup of tea.

I like the short and funny format for this podcast. The host’s little quips make me chuckle - which rarely happens when listening to the news! I think this podcast captures the highlights in a very digestible way. It’s my favorite news podcast for sure

This show just keeps getting worst. The new host is not as funny as she thinks she is. Present the news please.

On Thursday 4/22 I was appalled to hear host Olivia deride our President (and all other elderly people) by wondering if he would be able to mute himself on Zoom. This kind of attitude and the totally inappropriate words were wildly wrong in so many ways. You owe a huge apology, you need some re-education, and I will not stand by for this kind of ageism in what is supposed to be a news podcast.
