Really just feels like it’s opportunity for guess to plug their trainings or books, doesn’t spend a lot of time getting into the core concepts integration different types of approaches or theories into play therapy, pretty frustrating to listen to. I wish there were better resources for us children therapist.

Jackie is one of the better play therapists I have ever worked with. Her knowledge is matched only by her compassion. Listeners will find this a worthwhile education whether they are parents, caregivers or professionals.

Some tough topics come up during childhood and Jackie helps you navigate them with compassion so your child grows. Really, really important to understand your child and Jackie helps you do this in her delightful podcast.

Good information, but every time the host uses the word "kiddos," I feel she is infantilizing and/or marginalizing the children she's discussing & trying to help. Makes me wonder if maybe this podcast is directed to a much younger age group than my child.

Parenting In the Rain addresses tough topics that today's parents need to hear - depression, suicide, divorce, grief, self-harm and more. As a play therapist I am thrilled Jackie has created this invaluable resource to help parents navigate the "biggies" of parenting.
