Brilliant
One of the few online people who can see through all the layers and actually talk about the real. I love Rollins and after a decade I’m starting to understand.

Just beginning to understand
I feel like I’m understanding pyrotheology molecule by molecule - so slowly. But if the process really is the point, which seems to be an idea important to Peter Rollins’ work, I’m doing ok. I’m not far enough along to decide if I agree or disagree exactly, but I just love the process. This podcast challenges my intellect and imagination and even faith, but thinking is fun! So if you’re looking for answers, this isn’t your podcast. But if you want food for thought, this is a buffet.

A False Guide
I wanted to find something worthwhile in Rollins, as he has a wonderful intellect and storytelling ability. Yet I can’t escape the feeling that for all his intellectual work and brilliance he is going nowhere, and worst of all he is leading his audience down a rabbit hole that will never find sun nor air again. There is a profound emptiness in his work, despite all the novel ideas. I travel no further, and I bid him farewell.

So glad I found PR - please improve audio quality!!!
I first learned about Peter Rollins through some interviews he did with other podcasters. I love hearing his perspective. I subscribed and look forward to every one of his messages and discussions. But Peter, PLEASE improve the sound quality! I know that you often take these from FB Live recordings which is probably done straight into your phone or laptop. But sometimes the sound quality is so poor that I cannot understand you. And sometimes it's so unintelligible that I stop listening. I normally listen to podcasts when I'm driving around or doing work at home and I just have it play from my phone... not through headphones or blue tooth. So the end user sound quality is already bad. Combining that with poor recorded quality makes for a poor podcast product... as far as the audible product, not content. A few hundred dollars can get you a mic, a mic stand, a cable, and an interface. Put that into software (many are free) and you can have top-notch sound quality. I'm an audio/recording guy, so I speak passionately about audio quality, but I'm also a human being and speak passionately about your messages and discussions.

Love your smart self! A gift:
SELF PORTRAIT It doesn't interest me if there is one God or many gods. I want to know if you belong or feel abandoned. If you know despair or can see it in others. I want to know if you are prepared to live in the world with its harsh need to change you. If you can look back with firm eyes saying this is where I stand. I want to know if you know how to melt into that fierce heat of living falling toward the center of your longing. I want to know if you are willing to live, day by day, with the consequence of love and the bitter unwanted passion of your sure defeat. I have heard, in that fierce embrace, even the gods speak of God. -- David Whyte from Fire in the Earth

Gave a voice to my doubts and uncertainty
Peter shares all of the wonderful and frighting things about ourselves and our “Gods “ What I respect is his tendency to answer questions with another question. Which is your asking the wrong question lol. But Peter doesn't push or promote himself but He invites us into this world of thoughts and thinkers I never had a chance to consider. The idea that its ok to critique my faith and myself is liberating Thanks for sharing Peter! P.S. Shaemus Rocks!

Thankful for your work
As someone who has found himself tumbling down the rabbit hole of deconstruction, Pete’s Work has become an increasingly important resource for me. Not because it teaches me what to think but because it challenges TO THINK. I’m so thankful for his work

Your words have helped me to find peace in my being and let go of my need to find the right dogma. Thank you.
