A good topic overview for subspecialists
For those of us in the field of pediatric cardiology, this is a great addition to our ways to learn and stay current. As all things new, it has some pros and cons. Pros: Covers relevant topics. It also covers topics from the full range of pediatric cardiology. You can tell Dr. Pass is listening to feedback consistently. For example, he has improved the audio quality quite notably just over the first 15+ episodes. The interviews are also a nice touch, allowing us to hear others thoughts on each topic. Cons: Quite honestly, I think it speaks volumes that I only have one (admittedlly weird) "con" to point out: The adjectives in this podcast are beyond excessive. Every article is "important," "wonderful," "insightful," "exciting," etc... and for every interview, "we are very lucky to have ____ on our show for them to share their insights." There's no need to convince the listener how important the work being discussed is. Nor is it necessary to thank the interviewee 5 times repetitively. As an aside, you won’t make it through listening to an episode without hearing his text/ringtone go off no less than 3 times. Definitely worth a listen. It's a great way to squeeze in some new journal knowledge in a very subspecialized field that is constantly changing and advancing.

Excellent insight, broad range.
Dr. Pass does a phenomenal job covering a wide range of topics with regards to pediatric and adult congenital cardiology across all associated specialties (including surgical, interventional, intensivist, etc). His article choices and the insights supplied both by him and by an impressive array of guests in the field of congenital cardiology are invaluable to anyone interested in these topics who wants some direction in where to look for relevant literature.

Excellent presentation of the data by both presenter and the author. The difficulty with registry outcome data has a lot pf confounding issues due to a large variation in the practice for listing DCM pts for transplant among centers. Similarly, there is a difference in approach among physicians from previous era compared to the last 5 years. In my opinion, any conclusion from registry should also be considered with the above facts in mind.

Right analysis, right morality, at the right time
Dr. Rob Pass has struck gold for the benefit of all of us as he conceptualized and then delivered upon the promise of podcasts to assist in the continuing education of pediatric and adult congenital cardiologists. My only regret is that I did not begin listening from the outset, and so now my next few nights are relegated to “binge listening” to this fantastic series. Very well done my friend!

Great work
Loved being able to learn while sitting in traffic on my journey to work. A wonderful breakdown and summary of complex topics through review of the literature. This must be somewhat cumbersome to do, but please keep doing this.

As a pediatric cardiology fellow, it can be tough to find the time to read the latest literature. I’ve been listening to Dr. Pass’ podcast on my drive to work, and it’s a great way to stay up to date. The interviews are personal and engaging, helping me as a young cardiologist to see the forest for the trees.
