Thoughtful & enjoyable formal film analysis

A very fascinating listen. Provides interesting and thought-provoking movie feedback and opinions. Style of each episode is set up well. Setting expectations for the first 20 minutes of the episode before seeing the movie makes the review and comments seem much more complete. Would definitely recommend if someone is looking to get more into film.

Amazing insight and an interesting point of view

This is a great podcast! Very insightful and thoughtful

Thoughtful, nice content. But it sounds like it’s recorded in a bathtub. Mathew’s mic is the problem. His guests typically sound much better than he does. Zero reason for a podcast to sound this bad in 2017. Go the the Apple Store and buy a good mic. If they fix this issue, it’d give it a 4-5 Star rating.

Fun to listen to for serious films as well as big blockbusters. Really enjoy this.

A diverse cast with varying opinions on both blockbuster and indie films!

Great hosts keep a good rhythm and a format that works well. Love the fresh perspectives and the deep dives. I always especially enjoy the After The Credits episodes. I recommend subscribing.

If you want people to hear your message, fix the sound levels and distortion.

I LOVE THESE PC POLICEPEEPS WITH ALL MY HEART

The first few shot by shot episodes have been really interesting, I love the format so far. If they keep getting cinematographers and directors on as guests I would love to hear what their 3 favorite shots are as well. Hopefully we can hear even more of the mindset of someone like Prieto when they are in the process of shooting their films.

SJ Warriors without original insights, humor or actual opinions. Will parrot back whatever the PC Police tell them to say. Would not recommend and promptly deleting.

One of my fave film and tv podcasts that I've listened to. Very insightful and conscious commentary. I always feel like I've learned something.

First time listener and the episode on whitewashing in Hollywood was the best discussion on the topic that I've listened to in a podcast...and I've listened many.

FSR is a great brand for varied film writing coming at you from many perspectives, and the slate of podcasts here is a great compliment to that. You can tune in to quick takes or longer discussions with great commentators. Highly recommended...

These guys make me so much more efficient at work! My only complaint is that they're just getting started, and I want more episodes to listen to! If you consider yourself a film buff, this pod is well worth the listen.

This is a very good podcast channel! Very informative and entertaining.

Concise and interesting.

Love the amount of content in this feed. It's great to have shorter episodes covering a range of topics. Too many entertainment podcasts are so long these days. The reviews are great. The cinematography show was very insightful despite the early audio issues. And the third show is a little different, but I'm into it. Like Nerd NPR. Looking forward to more shows, Emergency Pods, and whatever else you folks drop into this feed.

what does it even mean to be a critic who criticizes things. Its a question that haunts the walls and one that one perfect pod answers in full blast. To parpahase the great virgil thomson, one perfect pod is the only anecdote to the ignorance that drenches the discourse. I would give it six stars if I could.

It's tough to know where a film critic is coming from unless you read that person's work a lot, which is something we simply don't do anymore. We read a ton of cultural criticism instead of one source. So it's cool to see a podcast that interviews the critic before and after the movie because it creates a real context for how that person is thinking about what they are critiquing. Cool concept, sharp host, ready to hear more.

I love what I've heard so far. I can't wait to see what the creative team behind One Perfect Shot and Film School Rejects come up with next for this.
