...and I subscribe to big pharma...psych meds. If I can fall asleep on a topic that effects me personally, you’re doing something very wrong. I listen to ANYTHING. This subject doesn’t have to sound like a boring college lecture.

I love the narrator and the style of podcast. Super education and informative- while also being entertaining, also well edited. Everything a podcast needs to be solid!

This is a really interesting podcast, thoughtful and insightful. I like that it isn’t judge mental, it seems to be more about getting to the root cause of drug abuse and addiction. My only regret is that I will run out of episodes too soon because I just can’t stop listening. Thank you Geoff!

Great Podcast, across the board

Decided to take a chance on this podcast and happy I did. The show is extremely interesting and I have learned about the history of drugs. So happy I never got into drugs.

It’s refreshing to hear a more science/practical based podcast about addiction. Real life vs mysterious approaches to recovery. Podcast is put together very well and I love it

Good stuff

I love this podcast. I gave Ativan to a patient yesterday and shared a little bit about what I'd learned from the Miltown episode! It's so interesting and I love learning the history behind drugs!

However as good as this show is... the mill town episode is awful. I can't listen to someone talk with spit in their mouth and it's not filtered out.

This podcast is not only informative, but also interesting- like the listener is having a conversation with the host- not like simply reading a text book. Each episode covers a different aspect of how drugs (both legal and illegal) intersect with our everday lives. It draws on the history of the pharmaceutical industry, social constructs, today's politics, and overt and implicit racism in our society. I reccomend listening to this regardless of your position on drugs today. I can almost guarantee you will learn something. Well done, CBC.

Fair and realistic look on drugs without trying to cash in on the fear culture

This is clearly going to be a favorite. Produced well and super interesting. Can't wait for more.

Love the lense- really explores drugs in a different light

This is a really great podcast that explores how drugs influence our lives and culture in both positive and negative ways. However, I'm fairly disappointed that the interviews seem to be with mostly men. In particular, the end of the Sex, on Drugs episode, there is only one man interviewed about his experience having sex while high, despite the chemical interaction of substances like cocaine impacting women's brains and sexual experiences much differently.

This podcast is very informative and awesome to listen to. Very engaging and extremely interesting topics discussed. I can't wait to listen to more!
