I have just started this podcast and have already loved it.I am a fellow playstationer and loved it.I do play Baldurs gate 3 but I still love the review

The podcast is ok. I’m a PlayStation gamer so I tune in, but I don’t find the hosts to be particularly engaging. They don’t seem to even like each other very much and the conversations are pretty bland. The best things are the developer interviews but the podcast isn’t journalism, so you’re not going to get any tough questions, but a corporatized commercial for the products they’re talking about. I also have to say I get a full-body cringe every time they say “news you can use if you so choose”… I’m not sure why but they seem to think it’s funny and I dislike it enough that I hesitate to listen to the news section.

PlayStation is just a bunch of faceless corporate suits with no public figures that interact with the community. Jim Ryan isn’t a gamer and doesn’t care about yall. PS pumps out the same sad dad simulators that you play once and toss away. If you’re ok for paying for the same exact games every year then I guess this is the brand for you. I’d rather support the American company that’s innovating better and wants video game everywhere and on all devices.

This podcast is now one of the best podcast I’ve ever listened to, but I think that maybe the talking drags on for a bit. I think I would like it better if it was more scripted

I’d rather spend my time listening to the OFFICIAL PlayStation podcast. PlayStation coverage for the sake of PlayStation and not some other brand or entity using PlayStation to build their own brand.

I love this show and have been listening for years. If you like PlayStation, and you clearly do if you’re even looking at this, you’ll enjoy the show. They have excellent insight on games. Their hosts have a wide variety of tastes so even if you don’t care for one person’s favorites someone else will be interesting. Minor issues: lately the audio mix is bad; I have to turn it way up when it starts after any of my other podcasts, then the interim music is deafening and I have to turn the interviews down only to move it back up when the hosts return. Also, one of the rotating hosts has a little trouble with thinking he’s the most important person in the room. It’s better when everyone has their chance to speak.

I listened to my first episode of this podcast. I enjoyed the first 20 + minutes while doing laundry. Great info and made mental notes about the games I wanted to look into further, and to check out the PlayStation blog. But after 23 minutes, I had to stop. I did not expect the scope of the podcast to include how you rearranged your action figures on your shelves in high school and how a 1 bedroom in San Francisco has to have 9 foot bookcases, and how unpacking should be made into a game. What a waste of time. Do the hosts actually think that this is what I tuned in for? So they really think I care about their personal lives to that degree? STICK TO GAMES AND GAMING! I’ll unsubscribe and find another gaming podcast. #FAIL

The conversations just drag on about nothing zzzzzzz

Just got through my first episode and especially after recently getting myself a PS5 the show really gets excited about future games and DLC as well as talking about things happening recently and you can tell they are true Sony PlayStation fans and it’s really cool to geek out while listening definitely can’t recommend enough. 5 stars easily

I wish the show could just be Tim, Kristen, and Bret. I could really do without Justin or Sid. I feel dumber listening to those two with their “uhhhs” and “ummms” every two seconds, their frequent tangents that derail the conversations, and just find them annoying. Justin is the definition of a “simp” as he always flirts with the women that he interviews, brags about his son and life in the Bay Area like a true millennial, and somehow always makes the conversation about Destiny 2 or Final Fantasy XIV. Sid has his annoying one liners, is super judgmental about everything from movies to bagels, always compliments games he has never even played, and disrespects the ones he’s never heard of. I’ve listened since the beginning when it was just Sid and Jeff Rubenstein, and I hate that I have to force myself to listen to this every week hoping to not hear Justin or Sid’s voice.

Really good PlayStation podcast from people that work for PlayStation. Very informative but also one that doesn’t take it seriously like it’s a job. I enjoy this podcast very much. Keep up the great work

It is great I was able to get the PS5 and I got some cool games

I love it

I tried to enjoy the most recent podcast, for a good 15 or so minutes it seems like, y’all talked up AstroBot PlayRoom insinuating the team responsible should be honored. Don’t hedge. Be direct. That’s the whole point of such an intimate conversation on behalf of such a large studio such as PlayStation. Just my opinion, you guys did a disservice to the brand by not simply getting to the point and giving credit where it is due. JAPAN GAME STUDIOS learn the name. Remember it. Do your homework. They are the ones responsible for the pre-loaded game that will ship with the PS5. Just blunt criticism, so please don’t take it as narcissism, I really don’t care how any of the hosts feel. All the responses to those feelings just get a “yeah...” response with awkward silence. Be excited, sure, but be informative. Show the die-hard fans that have been faithful to the brand that you know your stuff. I felt like I was listening to a generation of kids younger than me, who perhaps were interns at PlayStation, and had no idea what they were talking about. I’m 28 years old. I don’t know it all either, but I sure as heck know the name of the company responsible for AstroBot Rescue Mission and wish all of you would be a bit more forthright and at least sound like you’ve done your homework. Don’t take offense. Be better. Do better. You work for a multi-million dollar company now. They pay you good money to at least know a thing or two. Don’t be discouraged. Just do better. Rant over.

Loving what info we are getting on ps5 would like to hear more about how the spu ie tempest audio runs on it own not through gpu or cpu freeing up processing power for those other units keep rocking it guys

Listening to this podcast really gets me hyped for PS5. It does a great job diving into the latest PlayStation news. Keep up the great work! Also I would like to hear a Spider-Man Miles Morales. Please?

Love listening to this crew. They are PS based but remain professional when speaking about different games, so it is not a constant praise fest for PS even though there is plenty to praise. I also love when they switch it up and we have in depth talks with devs about their games and the game industry. Keeping being awesome!

Occasionally this podcasts contains spoilers. They’re only minor spoilers, they say. I skip them. I prefer no spoilers. It’s annoying to have to skip them. It’s easier to just skip this podcast.

I should say that I am deeply vested in the Playstation universe. PS1, 2, 3, PSP and Vita owner and active PS+ member. Your Podcast has a couple big problems. The 1st is sound level. Compare it to your markets leader, Podcast Beyond. I have to increase my device volume 25% in order to hear the conversation. The 2nd is Sid. He makes a great host, but I feel his Sidisms and constant interruptions derail the conversation when he "steps" on the content of the team. Please highlight Nick and The Powerhouse as the true stars of the show. When they speak, consumers listen. Oh, that T. Gilmore is coming into his own too! Clean this up and the already 5-star content will propel you up and beyond your competing podcasts. I would enjoy seeing that happen and I'll keep you in my "rotation". Just reduced to 1 star and removing it from my rotation. Never did fix the volume level. Still can’t hear it, even in my Acura that has 0.0 Road noise. Try Kinda Funny if you want a video game cast that you can actually hear while driving.

Hello there PlayStation BlogCast! First of if I am loving the show but I have only made it to episode 50, and am so sad that Jeff took off. I am going to continue listing and have no complaints! I can’t wait to be all caught up because I don’t like starting something except from the beginning so I am trying I promise! It's a commercial... it's "official"so you have to expect some bias, but it's nothing but patting each other on the back no matter what. It is what it is .... meh

I have been listening since the beginning and love the show. I wanted to thank you all for all the hours of entertainment you have given me. From grading papers, I'm a 4th grade teacher, to working out, to cooking dinner, the podcast always makes the time more pleasent. Keep up the great work

The crew does an excellent job providing an enjoyable podcast, and their inclusion of interviews is always especially interesting and worth the subscription. Their opinions on games are fun to listen to as well, but you have to take their opinions with a very discerning eye (When Sid recommends watching the Assassin's Creed Movie, for example). You can almost definitely trust them when they're talking about a game that they constantly play like Immersive sims, Nier Automata, Final Fantasy XIV, Risk of Rain or Darkest Dungeon, but be safe when they're recommending new games; Do a bit more research.

This type of "post-purchase" marketing is really important in keeping consumers engaged in the PlayStation Nation. Your content is fun and it helps maintain my bond to Sony. The podcast medium is the best way to keep me involved (secondary to me is the video). Thanks guys. Ps add a lady to the mix please.

Sid Shuman can ruin a good thing, this is a better podcast when he is absent. This is the kid from grade school that was never wrong, did that one thing before it was cool, and always laughs at his own jokes. I really enjoyed the blog cast when Ryan Clements joined the team, but now I can't even make it to the "those new releases..." segment. Let me know when Sid is gone.

I've listened to this show for years. The degree to which the conversation gets derailed now is staggering. I'm all for going off topic to foster a deeper conversation. However, it's gone too far in the recent episode with Scott's 2016 GOTY list. Sid asked Scott to start with his VR games. Scott is only 2 games into his top VR games when Sid chimes is asking Scott if he has played Overcooked. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Overcooked is not a VR game. Overcooked would likely be mentioned in another category such as indie, or downloadable, or co-op GOTY, but no. Sid has to ask Scott for his opinion while 2016 VR GOTY is being discussed. SMH. Interruptions in the discussions like this are becoming so frequent it makes it off-putting to listen to. I like the show, but I also listen to many other video game podcasts that don't make such an abrupt about face in the middle of a conversation forcing the guest to scramble to get the show back to the topic at hand. It's disrespectful of the guest's time and the listeners' patience.

I completely understand that this is a Company podcast and they are probably not aloud to speak their minds about games. Literally every time a game is mentioned it's "oh my god I'm so excited for this game." "This game looks so beautiful." "I can't wait to play this." When you hear the same thing week after week about every game they talk about it gets old so fast. This is not a place for opinions and really is the worst podcast for getting up to date info on PlayStation. It's just a wast of time. Get PS I Love You XOXO or Podcast Beyond if you want a good podcast were they actually talk about the good and the bad in the world of PlayStation.

I keep coming back to this podcast hoping that the guys will stop interrupting one another constantly, but it doesn't seem to change. This is really disappointing. I expect more from grown men. It really makes it difficult to listen to which is a shame.

Pretty enjoyable podcast by a cast of 3-5 gay men lead by the Richard Simmons like Sid who often derails the show by talking about everything but video games. Half the show is taken up by often boring interviews, but the other stuff is pretty good.

I'm a long time listener. If you like PlayStation check it out. I will say when they are fully staffed it gets a bit messy with 4 people fighting for air time. I'd rather see some rotation (as long as Sid stays put), but overall they pull it off.

I've been listening to the podcast for the last couple years and I always look forward to downloading it on Thursday evening. The chemistry between Sid, Justin, Ryan and Nick is readily-apparent the moment you start listening and their love of PlayStation shines through. Love the format and the content...a must-listen for PS fans!

Love the podcast, one of my favorites. Most of the podcast when talking about games they are quoting what you had wrote about the game. So, you're the original source. I like every personality you put on the show, Ryan, (explosion here), Justin,(explosion here), Nick, (explosion here), you're all great, but SID IS THE MAN, (explosion here). Love it (super massive ultra explosion with The Terminator theme).
