Janet Mock is an amazing interviewer/host. You can tell she does her homework on her guests and her questions are always thoughtful and thought provoking. Her voice is also really nice to listen to.

I just discovered this podcast, and the quality of interviewing and storytelling is exceptional. I personally learn so much about others peoples' life experiences, for which I am thankful.

Janet is a friend in my head. She's a thoughtful, intelligent & compassionate interviewer & just fun to listen to. Even when the guest is not someone I'm particularly interested or familiar with, I still enjoy & learn something.

The episode with Gabs was life!

I stumbled on this podcast after listening to Tavi Gevinson's interview with Janet on her Rookie podcast. I am so excited that Never Before exists. I didn't know much about Janet prior to listening to this podcast however I've devoured each episode with fervor. Janet interviews guests for whom I didn't know I'd care with questions for which I didn't know I'd want answers. Her interview style is at the same time respectful, interested and hard hitting. It's hard to single out a specific episode better than the rest. I came away from the Kris Jenner and Lena Dunham episodes with new perspectives on those women and my own perception of them. I love the focus on the intersections of pop culture, fame and womanhood. A must listen for me!

Quickly becoming one of my favorite podcasts, one I look forward to the most, I love how Janet and her guests share their experiences of the world, un-sugar-coated-ly, while also discussing why we feel the need to sugar coat.

Janet is an amazing host, with a soothing voice and great interviewing skills. I love this podcast & share it with others. Highly recommend!

Praise and fawning all over Chris Jenner ? Admiration for her daughters marketing skills ? Letting Chris Jenner get away with saying they are "not famous for being famous" ??? This has to be the most softball, suckup interview of all time. Chris Jenner is a very well dressed, slick, media pimp. Her show "The Kardashians" is soft core porn, nothing more. Self objectification of women, by women is not brilliant, clever, or indicative of anything more than taking advantage of good genes. The Kardashians are nothing more than women who have risen to the very top tier of sex work. Louboutons instead clear heels, and they get to keep their clothes on (most of the time). I had more respect for Janet Mock as a magazine editor, and author turned activist. Vapid "just us girls" talk show host is a huge disappointment. Her podcast is incorrectly named, this has all been done before. If Janet were not trans, would there have been anything at all interesting to this show ? Nope!

I am so happy I fell upon this podcast! Janet is truly an amazing spirit, and it radiates through her interviews! I can not wait until she starts season 2 !!!

not a lena fan but i think janet is fantastic. that being said i hope the episodes with kris jenner and lena dunham will prove to be aberrations from the rest of the upcoming episodes. it boggles the mind

Janet Mock is a thoughtful, incisive interviewer with mostly liberal important people in today's culture. I listen regularly to at least a dozen interview podcasts, and Mock is very interesting and pleasant to listen to. Highly recommended.

Her questions are perfect. Courageous, leaves no stone unturned, but is so human and accepting. Insightful, incisive, entertaining. So many shows, I get so frustrated waiting for them to ask the real question/s or follow up on answers that might be unexpected. Not with Janet! She takes you on a journey with every interview.

Episode 10 with Kris Jenner, is one of my favorites. I am fascinated by her business acumen. I remember checking out her audio book at my local public library and listening to her story to and from work. And found out she was from San Diego as myself. Thank you.

Totally worth your time to give a listen. Wide variety of guests and topics. Janet's voice is soothing, and I enjoy the podcast, thoroughly.

Janet is so thoughtful, articulate, and intelligent that she could make a conversation with a carton of eggs interesting. I seek her out and feel smarter after listening to her. And even when the guests aren't people I am familiar with I still got lots out of the conversations. Also, I discovered The Read podcast through this podcast so for that alone I am grateful for its existence. Get into it y'all!
