I have a sister who is self taught and six instruments. She definitely has the music DNA. But throughout my life I’ve always felt a desire to learn an instrument. This podcast is nudging me a little more towards that dream.

I found this podcast in perfect timing. Years ago, I mean many years ago, I was learning to play the guitar by ear. And as a part of growing my new business I find that challenging myself with something new that’s fun helps me be creative. So I’ve just recently decided once again to pick up the guitar so the timing is perfect and the episodes are interesting and totally appropriate as I want to play by ear. thanks so much for a great podcast.

Christopher’s show is so good!! I grew up musical, and have recently over the last decade stopped engaging with that part of my life because, well, no good reason. Adulthood? So I’m a rusty person who is having a ton of fun learning along and getting my confidence back up.

I started listening in January 2019 (3 months ago) and just got to the 100'th episode. When the host (Christopher) was going through the list of guests that would be featured on their celebration episodes I was struck by the fact that I remembered everyone he mentioned and could identify specific things that I learned from many of them. As Christopher says, every episode has something for everyone interested in innovative methods for enhancing musicality, it's fascinating to hear the back-stories on the guests and then to get their philosophy on teaching and for most of them how they have been innovative compared to their personal training experience. Looking forward to the next 100!

I love this podcast, it's informative, interesting and encouraging. My wife and I are a singer/songwriter duo and music is a big part of our lives. My favorite episode is from April 10th, the interview with Anders Ericsson, the expert on the science of talent, and how we should view it (it was really encouraging!)

if i were coming to this podcast for the first time now, i would work my way backwards from the most recent episodes. i checked out when they first started, for a little while, but over the last month or so the interviews have been some of the most mind blowing explorations of musicianship i’ve ever been exposed to in any medium. my favorites are the ones with andrew bishko. that’s a great place to start. i consider myself lucky to know about this podcast.

This podcast provides a wide variety of information that will be helpful to anyone who wants to become more musical or better at their chosen instrument. The episodes are positive and engaging and include many interesting guests. My favorite so far has been 'Building Blocks of Improv, with Brenden Lowe'. Check out these podcasts - they are definitely worth your time!

Guests on the podcasts are very good to bring different perspectives about music and maintaining the musicality which we require to be better musicians. This is in my weekly rotation of music podcasts.

All the podcasts I've listened to are wonderful. They have changed many of my methods both with learning and teaching. In listening to Donna, I'm now in need of changeing things again! It will begin with singing the music and really getting it in my head and that will be a challenge with my musical level; but it sounds like that will be the best step to take for faster growth. How can one decide which podcast is the best? I think it depends on one's musical journey and so far all that I've listened too have hit home for me. But I feel that if I do the work Donna talks about, my work will progress faster. Thanks Donna for all the hints. Now it's my turn to do the work.

Musicality is a great podcast for anybody who wants practical strategies, ideas and inspiration on how to make playing music more enjoyable.

I recently started my Ap Music Theory class in school, and I'm finding myself loving pretty much every second of it. I've played an instrument for years and I've learned more in 3 weeks in the classroom than any other music teacher has taught me. It's a shame that today music teachers leave a lot out of their instruction. I have a huge desire to learn everything and anything about music, to finally discover the whole beautiful world behind it. And this podcast is a great source to use as well. The information you guys cover is great, it's easily accessible, and gives great insights! Great job!
