MOTIVATION
I am a fan of Chick Corea’s Music Magic. I think this podcast is an incredible idea. The interview with his band mates were very inspiring. Just being able to hear musician talk about music, their instruments, blah blah blah. Chick, I hope you and your team brings this show back. I feel it can really inspire a whole community of up & coming musicians. Also interviewing music outside the band (like Jon Mayer) is a dope idea. You should definitely do that as well. #BringMusicMagicBACK! We (the musicians) need it! #YupYup

Inspiring
It was good to hear Chick's encouragement to stop the self-editing while you are playing and remain open to let the music flow. This is something I struggle with. I tend to over-think my playing. I stay in the safe zone. It seems my playing when alone is more interesting because I am not worrying about what other people think. As a bass player it is easy to stick to the safe notes and avoid receiving the stink face from the band leader.

This is so great real artists talking about the creative process from the heart. Kudos to Chick and his friends !!

Chick and Carlito
Just great insight into the musical lives of a budding star and a legend. Carlito's early childhood influences - Chucho, Arturo Sandoval and Paquito D’Rivera and his dad were really impressive. Carlito took us on a candid journey in discussing his ability to tackle the technical aspects of Chicks demos; yet, realizing that he must embrace and translate the Corea style and language - a challenge that only the grand master Chick can truly critique and embrace!! Even with Carlito's candor of uncertainty - he was well on his way with a strong reference from the great bassist - Stanley Clarke.

Historic
I would only hope that Chick continues ‘WCHICK’ radio beyond the promoting of Vigil & the webinar. I’d love to hear more conversations perhaps with Chick and Stanley… Chick & Gary Burton, Perhaps even Chick & Herbie Hancock… Chick's music is historic, and this type of documentation of what he does, and how & why he does it is priceless! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting & chatting with Chick a few times.. And this is the real deal! Up close, and personal! 5 Stars!! ~ Jamaicafunk

Fantastic
Up close with Jazz Legend Chick Corea. Chick is the interviewer, but he is also part of the conversation, so you get more than just an interview. Really great for all of us musicians who hold Chick Corea in the highest regard !

Excellent inside jazz interview. Lose the slick intro.
Extremely interesting interview. Lots of good inside info from some elite jazz player. My only complaint, and maybe it's part of the podcast culture, is that the intro and outro are annoyingly over-produced. 4 minutes of Russ Davis' slick announcer shtick almost drove me away. And him asking the listener to go to iTunes and give it a 5-start rating... come on... give it a rest. Yep, there's advertising for Chick's online master class. That's fine but dial back the slick a notch or two please.
