Fantastic reflecting space!
Such a powerful podcast with deep exploration of the transition into motherhood. Sharing story, experience, realness, pain and healing is a path to healing and MotherBirth does a beautiful job of holding that space for mothers. Thank you!

Fascinating, Vital, and Real
This podcast is a wonderful and incredibly valuable resource for mothers, families, and anyone in the birth world. All sorts of topics that are near and dear to my heart, and that are so empowering and validating for us. One of the things I love most about it is the way they present and address the real deal, and not just the sugar-coated, sunshine and rainbows wonder of birth and parenthood. Because, while it is a beautiful and fulfilling privilege in so many ways, it can also be the biggest challenge and struggle we ever face. Support is vital, and can come in all forms-- I highly recommend this is one source of it. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

What I am loving about this podcast for mothers is how radically honest these conversations are, and how progressive and empowering the information is. I feel like Mellisa and Laura are helping bring women's true voices back into the decisions and perspectives on our health and well being throughout birth and motherhood. It is time!

Our birth story
WOW!! This was so fun to be a part of, but listening to it was even more powerful. I cried again listening to myself talk about the blessings that our children are. Thank you so much Mellisa and Laura for allowing me to share such an intimate part of my life. You ladies are seriously rad and so encouraging and uplifting. LOVE YOU!

Questions/Contact info?
Hi lovely ladies, I recently found the podcast and have fallen in love with the women who share their beautiful and heartbreaking stories. Your podcast has touched my life and is so empowering. Question though, could you put somewhere on your website/etc to contact you? I couldn't find a contact page anywhere, and it would be really helpful. I have some questions, so I assume I must not be the only one who has questions to ask you guys. Mine is, would you do an episode on how to become a doula/midwife, etc that explains the process from someone who has done it? I find it so hard to find clear information on how the process actually works, as well as for lactation consultants/breastfeeding counselors (are they the same thing? how do you become one? do you have to be a nurse first?) I would love your input on these questions and to hear processes like this from a real person instead of trying to understand a list of guidelines which you get when googling. hopefully this is something other women would enjoy as well. an episode on this would be amazing!! thanks ladies for the hard work and dedication to such an empowering podcast that can bring us women together. xxx

So grateful for this podcast!
I waited in anticipation for this podcast for months and was so excited to start listening as a first time mother-to-be! Hearing from so many woman about their birthing experiences and transition into motherhood helped me when my daughter was born earlier than expected. I look forward every week to a new episode and appreciate the wisdom and expertise Melissa and Laura bring.

Deeply moving...devoted to the heart of communal motherhood
These women are so lovingly intentional about creating space for every story that has ever been written within motherhood. Their exploration is genuine, moving, and honest. They are reverent about each sacred experience and are truly at the frontlines of doing restorative work to connect all of us mothers to another...no matter the distance in our stories. Their presence is peaceful and their voices truly cross sound waves and have been useful in soothing and healing for me. I’m a busy mama these days with little time for self-care or support groups to tackle my own stories, so this podcast has served as a form of explorative therapy. I’m grateful for their gentle guidance in that.

Thankful to have this resource.
I listened from day 1 & have been faithful to do so the moment a new ones comes out. It started when I was 4 months pregnant & carried me through the journey. Learned so much & heard different journeys, now I have my own & I must say it went beautifully. I was relaxed & in every moment thanks to MotherBirth.

Gentle + Inspiring
Mellisa and Laura have created such an inviting space for women to openly share their unique experience of becoming a mother. I love that all the mother-guests come from different backgrounds and have varying viewpoints on birth. I especially enjoyed episode 019 with Michelle Perez, who birthed her children in Guatemala. Each episode inspires me to embrace my version of motherhood.

What a wonderful addition to the world of motherhood
The combination of doula, nurse, midwifery, and motherhood experience that Mellisa and Laura bring to the podcast gives such a well rounded foundation to their show. Add in exceptional guests, raw subject matter, and an ease in conversatoin and listening, and the result is a podcast that is fitting for mothers and birthworkers all at once- a tough balance to capture.

So good.
I'm a father and I can't wait to hear more episodes. Was in tears 5 minutes into the first. I listen to people's life stories for a living and I'm not sure I remember the last time I was so moved by someone's story. Keep it up Gals!

Beautiful
I cannot wait to hear more. You can tell that the interviewers are genuine champions for women and for what motherhood means in all of its forms. The first episode left me bawling in my kitchen as I cooked dinner and I felt like I was there with them having the conversation. These are the voices mothers need to hear in a world of judgment and criticism that can sometimes get us down. We can be for each other, even if our lives are very different. Just beautiful.

Podcast of my dreams
I have been looking forward to this podcast ever since my friend (and doula!), Laura, one of the hosts, told me she was working on it! I love hearing other peoples birth stories and journey's into motherhood, especially as a mother myself. It has been imperative for me to connect with other mothers and hear their stories....whether to help normalize my experience and not feel alone or to be challenged and see things from a different perspective. It's all so necessary! And I'm so glad a podcast like this exists!

a must-listen for mamas
Just one episode in, and I'm totally hooked. there's a lot of literature (and podcasts) on parenting and birth, but not many people talk about the process of becoming a mother and what it means to become a mother. I'm so excited to hear about other people's birthing and motherhood experiences. The first episode was beautiful and I look forward to many more.

Inspiring, easy to listen to podcast
I do not listen to very many podcasts but I will be listening to this one every week. Mellisa and Laura are fantastic interviewers - they ask the questions I am hoping they will and the conversational style of the interview makes me feel like I'm there with them. I think a lot of women (and men) will find these conversations surrounding motherhood fascinating.

Congratulations on your launch! Love the first two.
I adore everything that Mellisa Reeves puts out in the world. Her calm, thoughtful energy is such a warmth to my life. I enjoyed every minute of listening to this podcast when it launched and I look forward to lots of future episodes, listening with tears and laughter and connection with fellow women. Birth is our foundational path to life, and we're all created through this astonishing process.

Loving this!
Very excited for this podcast! As a first time pregnant person and soon to be mama, I'm grateful to listen to other women's stories. It's very encouraging to expand my understanding of "normal" experiences during pregnancy, birth and labor. Looking forward to future episodes, thanks motherbirth!

Wonderful!
I've been on my journey to motherhood for quite a few years now, and it is exciting to continue to connect to all the varied ways that women have experienced being a mom. I have listened to the first episode and I was getting teary eyed hearing this mom's story. It was much different than my own, but at the same time there are these threads that connect us, and I am so thankful to have had the chance to enter into her world through her speaking on this podcast. Looking forward to connecting to more women's stories through Motherbirth! I'm so glad that this type of podcast exists!

Beautiful!
Mellisa and Laura are incredible interviewers, beautifully and thoughtfully navigating the topic of birth and motherhood β€” how babies AND mothers are born. I'm not even a mother (yet), but really connected with this first episode. I look forward to hearing more stories/experiences as I think more about starting my own family in the future. :)
