A breath of fresh air
First thinks first, I’m a man that loves true crime, but I hate how most true crime podcast find it necessary to use vulgar filler words(cursing) to make their point. On a whim I tried this podcast and have been hooked. The material is well researched and presented in a way that hooks you. I build bridges for a living and there is a ton of time waiting for concrete trucks to come so I listen to a lot of episodes, and these ladies never fail. I would definitely recommend it.

Obsessed is an understatement
I love this podcast and love the conversations before and after the story. As a mom myself, I can relate to so many of their stories and banter back and forth. I’m currently into the 2019 episodes, so it’ll be a sad day when I’m all caught up and have to go down to one M&M episode a week.

Good stories that end with some laughs
I had this show in my library for a while and finally worked around to it. Binged 6-7 years in a couple of months. M&M give me a laugh many times through out the story. I like that you don’t do stories about children because my heart can’t handle those stories. Thanks for keeping it clean too. I’m in Houston with the same weather so I understand that love hate relationship that comes with each “season.”

Great!
Intros are now less than five minutes, great improvement. Stories are greag and often unknown.

Love!
This podcast has always been a favorite for me. Hosts are very nice . They know how to tell a story and keep me interested from beginning to end. I have listened to this podcast from the very beginning and they are consistently great!

Yall might be the most boring true crime podcast
Yall are sooooo boring.. how do you have a podcast?? Not Melissa the other one sounds like she says things like “Golly”… you also probably ask for a manager a lot too??? It’s going to be a giant no for me dawg
skdjejeksndd.
Too scripted
The story part of the episode is just the two hosts taking turns reading from a script. Since both hosts know where the story is going there is no one to stop and ask questions that the listeners might also have. Would much rather have listened to one of the hosts tell the story to the other and maybe take turns each week

I’m liking it..
Just found this show this week after seeing the ladies on an episode of Playboy Murders. I listen to EVERYTHING in order, so I’m way back in 2018, but I’m enjoying it. I’m going to be home for surgical recovery next week, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the show evolves

G sounds like a K
I really wanted to love this podcast. The content, and the tone of voice is great however, one of the ladies pronounces the “ING” at the end of a word as “INK.” For instance the word “ending” sounds like “endink.” When someone voice is all you have to focus on, it really stands out.

All they do is complain in the beginning.
These chicks start every podcast by complaining about living in Florida. Once they get to the story it’s fine, but they seem like people I would not want to be friends with. Feedback: would you want to listen to someone or be friends with someone who starts every conversation off by complaining? It’s pretty annoying.

I’ve been a listener from the beginning and love ❤️ this Podcast but todays show…WOW! You guys handled this case with such care. Very powerful. If you haven’t heard this Podcast yet you are missing out!

Love the podcasts!
I love your podcasts but you can tell neither of you ever worked retail! On 2/12 you talked about Easter up early. Merchandisers and stores don’t love it either, but when a season is over, you can’t leave aisles and aisles empty! Valentine's sold out and was over…. You have to put up the next thing. If you left it empty, customers would think you’re having cash problems or something! It’s just the way it is. But love your show!!

M&M
If you want to have a light but interesting true crime podcast - Mandy and Melissa are for you. It’s super casual, easy on the blood and gore, and really just an intriguing podcast that can get you through a long roadtrip or help you doze off on a sleepless night. (I’ve done both). I live on a farm with horses and chickens (yep, Mandy) and LIVE on Diet Coke (hey, Melissa) and have 4 kids - so this podcast feels like home. Give them a listen! You’ll get giggles, intrigue, mystery and often a hard left tangent. It’s good fun and I am already listening through the series for my second time! Xoxo, Bree

Have you ever heard of the serial killer Henry Lee Lucas? I saw a documentary about him and I would love to hear you both talk about him on the show.

Love tuning in each week!
I’m very selective in what podcasts I listen to because there are so many that are just not done very well and the banter is annoying, however this one is so good! I love the dialogue and they are very well researched. Thank you, ladies!
@amberfoxfitness
Stop pronouncing -ing words with a hard G
Why do grown adults who read and broadcast for a living pronounce words that end with “ing” with a “guh” sound? Melissa has an infinitely more pleasant voice than Mandy (too much vocal fry) but in her read for Crunch Lab for example, she says “here’s what you’re gettink” and in Lume ads, it lasts “all day lonk.” But you say “gift giving” normally so it’s possible! Fix your pronunciation! You sound like a child!

Changing my review!
Just so you don’t change back to your legal name! Then ALL your alliterations will be for naught and ring shallow!! Don’t do ittttt Having said as much…you ladies are lovely. 💜💚💚 Kellye R CenLAw Podcast

I enjoy this podcast!
I stumbled upon this podcast after finishing all my favorites. This quickly turned into another favorite and I love to tune in weekly. I’m still catching up but I love their story telling and all their jokes. Most of the cases they do are unheard of but super interesting. The ending is not always something I stick around to listen to but I enjoy that they to do something lighthearted after some horrible cases.

Too Many Ads
While this is one of the better true crime podcasts out there, there are WAY too many ads for the content. If Small Town Murder can have less than 3 minutes of ads total for a two and a half hour episode, why do you ladies need 3 minute ad breaks for every 20 minutes of content? Greedy
RapMon3
Too funny
I've been listening since the beginning and these two are like listening to two old friends just having a conversation. The "mistakes" or the way they pronounce words differently makes me laugh and I still catch myself listening to the "last thing before we go" sometimes. You two really know how to keep the attention even when your attention goes somewhere else, "squirrel!" Get job and looking forward to more. Hopefully you do a live show in the north/tri state area, in the future!

The friends you never knew you needed!
I absolutely love Melissa and Mandy! Love their perspective on cases I’ve already heard before and cases that are new to me. They’re refreshing, delightful, insightful and hilarious. I binge this podcast every time I’m on a road trip and it’s the first one I go to. Great job, ladies!

New listener
Have been a true crime podcast listener for years but just recently discovered moms and mysteries. I love the way you tell the stories and share about yourselves as well. Really enjoying binging all your older episodes now that I’m all caught up :)

Too Many Ads
I hate to be this person, but I listen to dozens of true crime podcasts and this is the only one where I find the frequency of ad breaks deems the episodes nearly unlistenable. It would be better if they were fewer and longer so that they could be easily fast forwarded. It would also be great if they provided a time stamp for the start of the case to fast forward through the small talk.

Mouth sounds and quote unquote
They cover some good stories, but my God, the one host with the softer voice needs to do something about her horrible saliva mouth sounds. Also, there’s too much “quote, unquote.” If you have to say that much, don’t use so many quotes in paraphrase instead.
geeeeewizz
Quote unquote
There’s a way of telling the story without saying “quote and unquote” as much as you guys say it. On the Nov 20 2023 episode, you must have said it more than 60 times. You guys need a new writer.

Valley girls
Can we ease up on the valley girl-wannabe talk please? You’re better than that, I’d think.

Sad about narrative changes to show
This use to be my favorite true crime podcast. Now I feel like every episode is how much they don’t like cops. There are good cops and bad cops. How about we highlight the good ones more? If you like MFM, you might like this podcast.

What’s the point
Two hosts with no expertise or original work/ research reading scripts prepared by someone else
cassieinsc
Can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner.
I’ve been listening to M&M for years! They are such a good and relaxing show. While being a true crime show, they are clean with language, no tangents and fewer super horrific crimes. And if they are covering a crime that is heavier than normal they let you know at the top. The banter they do have is genuine and you can tell the friendship is real. Excellent show!!

Mom’s Are the Best!
Mandy and Melissa are two voices that I love listening to at any time of day or night. They are relatable, funny, sweet, and always present stories that are different from other main stream podcasts. Thank you for all that you do and sharing with us.

My favorite true crime podcast!
I look forward to new releases every week. It’s like sitting down with 2 friends talking about wild true crime cases. The hosts are so relatable, warm and funny.

Love MOM
I really enjoy a Moms and Murder! I’m new at this, and went back to listen to the earlier episodes. They seem to really enjoy themselves and you can tell they’re very good friends. And the newer episodes though however I feel like they’ve lost their natural spunk a little bit! I love the banter at the beginning but have a good day once in a while ;)

Best of the Best
Melissa and Mandy have a diverse platform that brings a phenomenal listener experience. I love the way they present each case sharing the details between them. The dialogue between them is relatable and sincere. They are committed to going above and beyond in the true crime community making a difference for so many causes. If what you are looking for is boring and mundane, listen to the news and save your negative reviews for those who truly deserve them. Much love Mandy and Melissa ❤️

Truly the most victim sensitive TC podcast!
True crime is brutal. It’s messy. It’s violent. But Mandy and Melissa tell their mysteries each week with such grace and compassion towards the victims; I always will support them. Mandy and Melissa have been my mentors in true crime since I was collage kid! I started college with the intention of becoming a cop, but through the process of life and this podcast, I have changed paths and now am working towards becoming an advocate and therapist for victims of violence. I want to be their for them after their worst day. And I will. This podcast changed my view on true crime. I went from loving the thrill of the chase and wanting to get the bad guy in cuffs to understanding what the families of the victims go through and truly feeling for those people and their loved ones. I now want to help those with their life after the crime. And that is thanks to Moms and Mysteries. ‼️ Do not just think you’re “listening to another pod on the way to work” no. This podcast freakin changes lives. Not just my life oh no. These AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE women raise awareness and support for different organizations, for instance Bexley Box; a charity project started from a horrible tragedy wear a two year old witnessed her father being murdered and she was left for hours in a police station with no comfort items appropriate for a toddler. Bexley Box is the foundation started by Bexley’s mom collect everything from diapers to toys to sippy cups for children who have to wait long hours in police stations after a crime was committed. Or take season of justice! Another amazing cause these women are actively taking part in! This is an agency that is dedicated to funding DNA testing for Covid cases to bring families closure. ‼️ 🤷🏻‍♀️Now you might be thinking how does this relate to me I’m just one person across the states and I’m listening to a crime happening 1000 miles away. But you never know what could be the clue that solves the whole thing. 🕵🏻‍♀️ So I aren’t you if you’re looking for a new podcast to listen to give these women a chance and you’ll be hooked within an episode. Please listen to them and support the families of victims because that is doing true crime work at its core. We need to be about the victims. Mandy and Melissa model that incredibly well for us all. *Now click play* ❤️❤️much love from Jax Fl ❤️❤️

Love the podcast! What happened to Google This City??
This is a fantastic true crime podcast! Mandy and Melissa do an incredibly thorough and compassionate job on the cases they cover. And their genuine friendship comes through in their funny banter. I have been working my way backwards on the episodes and have really enjoyed Melissa’s Google This City segments - she always makes me laugh!
