From the first podcast (of the new series) I listened to I was hooked! Every podcast is packed full of so much good information! I am in a difficult season of my marriage and have been looking to better myself, better my marriage and understand the things my husband is going through. After the first episode I listened to, I reached out to David and we scheduled a consultation! I felt so comfortable and safe to be open about what is going on and was given wonderful insight on how to navigate these troubled waters. I listen to his podcasts every single day. I say with confidence that because of this podcast (and the grace of God) I am able to stand another day, another week, another month….all while growing myself in the process. I am hopeful to be able to start coaching or counseling with them in the near future!

I’ve been listening to this podcast since episode 3! I’m so glad it’s back on.. the information and advance really helped.. been married for 10 years now and it definitely has been a testimony. We’re still working on it and this podcast was .. well still is a big staple in our household. Thank you!!

Aloha David & Mandy, I’m D, and I’ve been listening to your podcast since I was 18 y/old. I am now 25 and married almost two months now! God is good 🙌 I’ve listened to A LOT of marriage podcasts, sermons, YouTube videos. I’ve read the books, I’ve talked to older couples. From 18-25, I have only found a few credible sources that I could cling to. Besides the Bible / Jesus: Focus on the Family, Adrian, Rodgers, John Hagee, Myles Monroe, and YOUR podcast (other sources but just to name a few). I wanted to give credit where it is due. Thanks for your knowledge and your wisdom. As Robert Greene wrote in the 48 Laws of Power, “Like Janus, the double-faced Roman deity and guardian of all gates and doorways, you must be able to look in both directions at once, the better to handle danger from wherever it comes. Such is the face you must create for yourself- one face looking continuously to the future and the other to the past.” He then goes on to say, “… you look at the past to learn from those who came before you.” In mentioning this, I wanted to thank the both of you for sharing your knowledge/ experience so that I can hopefully avoid painful mistakes. Thank you for discussing your marriage and the mistakes you made in order to break the back of divorce for folks who are newly married / been married, or find themselves in a marriage crisis. There’s just enough mix of research, stories, his professional experience and some Bible sprinkled here and there. I know I’ll get something out of every episode.

I’ve felt an attack on marriages recently and the enemy almost destroyed ours. This has been spot on and some of my favorite spiritual leaders have said the same as David. My sister sent me this podcast to listen to learn more about marriage. I desire to be married but I understand it’s not an easy calling. If there was anything I could do to prepare myself before my husband finds me I’m all in. I have listened to a lot of people on marriage. I have been to a lot of counselors. My husband and I have done marriage counseling with a couple of different counselors. This podcast is BY FAR the best at understanding the dynamics of marriages. I think the six stages of marriage should be something engaged couples or newly weds listen to, before things go downhill. Come on ya’ll! It’s SO good; SO insightful. Each episode is teaching me and calling me out on my stuff that I’m doing to contribute to my “broke” marriage. Well done- you guys are a great team. Wish more couples had this, before it goes south but for sure, when stuff hits the fan. I don’t like this place my husband and I are in, but definitely growing as a person and a wife through it. 👍💜✌️

After having a hard day yesterday with my husband, I was desperate for any sort of healthy input in my marriage. I searched marriage advice in podcasts and came across this podcast. I listened to the first podcast that attracted my eye and holy cow, it was EVERYTHING I needed to hear. I have a lot of childhood trauma and I brought that into my marriage because I finally felt a love that I craved my entire life. But little did I know, the Pandora box of childhood trauma I opened, hasn’t been able to be closed. But this podcast helped point out every single thing I needed to grow and learn on and I’m so appreciative you guys obeyed God’s calling on your life to speak to other married couples on how to make their marriage work even through the rough times. I’m serious, this podcast I listened to will eventually change my marriage and life once I implement it. That of course, is key. So thank you guys for being that God like whisper on implementing change and being an advocate for healthy emotional intelligence. I seriously cannot thank you enough.

Just discovered this Podcast at a time when I needed it most. I’m 4 episodes in and I already have pages of notes of things I need to look at myself for and that I want to bring into our marriage. Our marriage has its days but we do pretty good. Recently we have struggled with unemployment and some other issues. Now with COVID-19 putting us under quarantine we struggle with new issues. All this time together brought us back together as a family, but has made it harder as a married couple. Working on my husband to be come a listen. Pray for us y’all.

With hundreds and thousands of ways to be distracted via social media platforms, this is a valuable podcast. I hope they come back with more juicy information for us! This podcast is so edifying to listen to. I play it in the car with my husband when we are driving with our toddler son, and if we are having a bad day, the podcast puts us back in the right mindset. My BF and I were searching for a spiritual and educational podcast which highlights Black Love and marriage. One that would help us be proactive in creating a successful courtship leading up to a fruitful marriage and I believe we found one! This episode was insightful and if I’m honest I learned something my first time in!! Can I just say THANK YOU??!! I was struggling in communicating with my husband and our never ending cycle of conflict. I’ve been searching for awhile for a podcast on marriage that was lead by an African American couple with biblical teachings. God lead me to this podcast. Can’t say enough about the internal work that I’ve had to do listening to your podcasts. I’m learning to incorporate them in our discussions.

This podcast has blessed me so much and completely changed my life. It has helped me have a holier outlook on my union. I’ve learned how to serve and sacrifice in my marriage the way Christ did for me.

Now that I have discovered this couple, my outlook on my relationship is completely different. So thank you. The advice or just the conversation you guys have to offer is completely mind blowing and makes so much sense. I have binge listened to these at work. I was convinced that I was going to end things with my partner. However, I have changed my mind and I haven’t even spoken to you guys in person. I thought that love was a natural emotion. It isn't and for that I know that I can make my relationship work because love is a choice!!!! Thanks guys!

Love this podcast! We need more shows! It has really helped me mentally as well as other friends I have shared episodes to.. I am not married, but it has been helpful to mend and help my relationship that is trying to gear towards marriage.

I have tried to listen to many different podcasts on relationships. Some are lofty and academic others are to simple. David and Amanda have got the mixture right! They’re real and insightful with many familiar chords. I wish I could say they fixed my marriage but that is something we are still working on. What I have been given is the tools to work on myself and insight on what my wife may be experiencing. A huge thank you to the both of you!
