We have been married for 21 years and recently just discovered our Love Language. We discovered after years of frustration that we are Acts of Service and Physical touch. Finally discovering what our needs were and how we could never fill each other’s needs since we both expecting OUR own needs to match our partner. This was a BIG turning point!

Boring chitchat. Not a lot of solid research or remedies for difficult situations. It seems they depend more on their church and involvement in church culture than on Jesus Christ and his redeeming blood. I attend church and believe it helps, but it’s not the answer to all life’s difficult circumstances.

These podcasts help so much to hear tips on how to do this thing! Practical advice to help one another walk through the hard places. Thank you for being real! The episode on not bringing up the past and letting it go was so helpful! It’s easier said than done especially when it’s a repeated offense. Thank you for recommending counseling!

So glad I stumbled upon The Rose’s podcast. I’ve been on the search for marriage related advice especially some that aren’t completely focused on religion. Ive listened to about 50 episodes so far, they have helped us. Even did the 7 day sex challenge with the hubs. I highly recommend the episode about “love language” & “22 day love habits”. I cannot express how much those two episodes helped my marriage. I also love love love how they keep it real, unlike other podcast. They are not perfect, non of us are, so I’m glad they keep it open and real. I love they're stories and even they’re adventures they take together.

I am listening for the first time and I have now listened to several back to back. I can relate in so many levels. The sex issues, the difficulty with a sensitivity and domination in a child and feeling lost about what we can do to make it better. Even your inability to say the name of the song on air. Thank you for sharing.

I have listened to almost all of these now, and although NO not every episode is necessarily about making you marriage more, it is an amazing couple sharing their life, being married, and having a family while still keeping their faith in God. They share great tips to a happy marriage and family!

The episode I just listened to had nothing to do with strengthening marriage. They just talked about their vacation and what show they are currently watching. It should be renamed to listen to us talk to each other and add no value to anyone’s day or marriage.

The episode I listened to just rubbed me the wrong way, the couple was just going back and for the about “making out” (sex) and it just wasn’t cute for me. Not relatable.

Good warm fuzzies and good people. Lacks a raw depth of tackling real issues. Good if you like the surface cheerleading session. That has its place and it might encourage you.

I have only listened to two podcast at this point, but feel my husband and I relate like crazy! I shared the episodes with my husband and cannot wait to hear his feedback. I downloaded the love challenge and cannot wait! Thank you so much for sharing!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way! I was really looking forward to helping my marriage become more but this podcast masks its help with annoying (sorry not trying to be a troll just being honest!) chit chat and giggles, especially in the bedroom episodes. I press the 30 second fast forward button about 15 times before they talk about marriage. I did give 3 stars because once you get pst the chit chat I love what they have to say!

Seriously you guys are amazing. What an incredible testimony. You both remind me of my husband and I so much. From the military aspect and just getting married, to the way you lovingly joke with each other. If you love having fun with your spouse, this is the podcast for you. All of the stars given lower than 5 mentioned their “banter” as being something negative and I just have to say, if you’re stuck up and don’t rag on your partner, then don’t listen. But IF YOU LOVE MESSING WITH YOUR SPOUSE, LISTEN!!! Because they do to and it’s hilarious. They have fun with each other and encourage other couples who are in their first difficult years of marriage (like myself). I appreciate their transparency and know that God is doing an amazing work in and through them.

I am on episode 84 and I just want to give a shout out to you both for, first of all having the courage to even do this and talk about your marriage openly. Secondly just putting things out there that most people don’t want to talk about. You guys have open my eyes to some things that was going on in my marriage that I didn’t even realize was going on or that I was doing to my husband. I have been more aware of the things I say and the things I do. I just feel like my marriage is happier and better since listening to your podcast. Thank you and I hope you guys never stop!

Been listening to several different Christian marriage podcasts lately, and this one is just okay. I’ve listened to only a few episodes so far, and I understand it’s possible not every podcast does the same thing. What bothered me the most was how negative Mandy is... kinda whiny, and complaining a lot. Also, she assumes too much about how “all” women feel, just because she feels a certain way. Another thing that I find annoying is the back and forth banter that is probably supposed to sound playful and flirty, but it doesn’t come across that way. There are a lot of put-downs, either of the other person or of the speakers themselves. This might be humorous at times, but use that method sparingly. You’re beginning to sound like an old couple that’s been married for 5 decades and are annoyed with each other all the time. Be more positive, encouraging, cooperative, loving, etc. That would be much nicer to hear.

Got 8 episodes in and thought that some of the points that were made/ ideas could be actually helpful, but this podcast is heavy with male/female stereotypes, which borders on sexism the majority of the time. I don’t think that either person in a relationship should take on certain roles “because they’re the man”, or “ women don’t like that”, but rather they should step up to different duties in their relationship because it’s necessary for their relationship or it’s their particular strength/ something in which they’re maybe stronger or more apt.

I am on podcast 24, and I love listening to your story! My husband and are are going through some hard times. We’ve been married for 14 years and I’ve wanted to go to counseling, but he won’t agree to go. I have been sending him your podcasts however and I hope and pray that he starts listening. It’s like free counseling! He’s listened to a couple other Christian marriage podcast episodes and he liked them and it did have a positive impact. He will definitely like the 7-day sex challenge, as we struggle with this in our marriage as well. Thank you for your story and for putting it out there for all to listen. Why is the podcast in fast forward? The music is fast, they talk fast. It’s disconcerting.

I was very excited to listen to this as me and I had to fast forward at least 5 mins to actually get to any sort of content and thinking I had finally reached the point where the information was going to start coming the husband of this podcast continued to not take it seriously with lots of annoying banter with his wife who was trying her best to get him to take it seriously. Very disappointing and annoying.

I love it, I heard all your episode and what happened to your marriage from day 1 and I just think that you are talking about my marriage... Military life is not easy and I don’t have any friends who can advice me about how to work with your marriage and house to stay strong, better wife and a mom... You two are my favorite couple... I hope you come back with a new season... you two are my mentor 😊

No. Stop babbling back and forth about absolutely nothing!!! I tried a Few episodes and just couldn’t get any substance out of it.

While I like a little chit-chat to get acquainted with you as a couple, it takes a little too long to get to any substance, in my opinion. I’m not sure some listeners have the patience to get to your target message, especially those who are desperate for help.

I loved the topic because we too have a “spirited child”, and the info given was good, but I felt there was too much rambling at the beginning of the episode.

This couple is very cute and remind me of my marriage but in reverse lol. I really like the challenges. It’s one thing to listen but to actually Do them is what will make the whole difference.

Just listened to episode 74. It was fantastic!! I learned a lot and could relate to everything they discussed regarding resentment and taking caution in the situations we place ourselves. The only reason I gave it a four instead of five is because there was a horribly distracting noise in the background that sounded like a knife being sharpened. It was so awful it was giving me anxiety haha. Please edit.

I had started listening to two other marriage podcasts before this one, but they were extremely religious-based. Way too much for me. In this podcast, they keep it real and offer amazing marriage advice and challenges! It helps that I am so like Mandy and my husband is so like Jeff! I look forward to my commutes now because of their podcast :)) So happy that I stumbled upon this one! I immediately deleted the other 2 that I had on my app.

I am so thankful for a real life godly couple. I listened to their “let’s talk about sex” episode. I have struggled with intimacy since getting pregnant and this totally helped me

Love this podcast! It helps couples relate and realize their situations are more common than it seems! Gives couples hope that they aren’t alone in the everyday marriage obstacles.

I love listening to Jeff & Mandy. They inspire me & have given us tools to help our marriage & build on the beauty that it is. The Love Languages and the Enneagram are amazing tools - I also love the interviews podcasts. The funniest so far had to be when Jeff got lost & they were just giggling with each other. They are truly an amazing couple!

No plan for any given show, grabbing the mic and rambling back and forth. Immature thinking and a lack of marital challenges of any real gravity.

I usually don't do reviews at all, but I really believe that the Roses are a great couple to listen to! Jeff and Mandy make great points and give good advice that My husband and I bring into our marriage. I especially like that the podcast is not all happy-go-lucky stuff; it’s struggles and hardships and compromises in a real world where chaos is all around. My husband and I both feel like we can listen, connect, and then talk about items they have discussed. We are open, raw, and real type people so we are blessed to hear from another couple who is further down the road of marriage and life together then we are :)

I really wanted to like to podcast. I listened to 3 before I made any conclusions. I found the bickering preceding the podcasts to be very distracting as well as sad for the husband that his wife seems to constantly laugh at his expense. I had a hard time rooting the podcasts in spiritual guidance.

These podcasts are funny and usually have practical tips to help in your marriage if you've been married 2 years or 32 years. I haven't listed to very many yet but the best one so far was the one on resentment. MM074. Go back and listen to that one.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast. I've tried many marriage podcasts. This one feels genuine and engaging. Others feel like "Listen to how well we do things and copy us... oh then buy our book." The Roses make no claims that they have it figured out. They simply share their life. My favorite are their bedroom confessional episodes.

I just recently discovered this podcast and I can't stop listening. So many of the episodes I can definitely relate to. I have learned some new things and ideas and looking forward to applying them in my marriage. There have been many times while commuting to work listening to the episode that I've been laughing out loud alone in the car and sometimes even had some tears. You two are definitely amazing and are showing what love and marriage should be. 💕💕💕

This is a great podcast to remind me of the importance of continually working on my marriage. Jeff and Mandy share practical examples and aren't pretending or making up examples. The real life scenarios are a the same things my wife and I go through. Light hearted and casual yet leaves you wanting to give your marriage your all.

I love listening to Jeff and Mandy when I'm in the car and when I'm getting ready in the morning. While I love Christian music, this podcast offers a nice break when you just want to hear something fun, uplifting and different. It's nice to hear how these guys challenge eachother to be better everyday. They're inspiring and make me want to make my marriage more everyday. Cant wait to start on some of these marriage challenges with my hubby.
