Updated review - just learned Lombardi is joining Bill Simons Podcast group. I am done with this podcast. The last straw was Nick comparing Julio Jones to Chris Hogan because they had the same stat line in their championship games. So Lazy to say they are even close to the same WR just because they had the same stats in one game. STATS LIE! You better change the name of this podcast if you keep Nick and Cris as the main guys. Original review - Only reason to listen to this podcast was Mike Lombardi. He was great. I enjoy Mike when he is on the Bill Simonson podcast and gave this podcast a listen because of his plug on that podcast. But don't sell me this is a Mike Lombardi podcast and then take him away for 2 shows. He was just on the Bill Simons Podcast so don't tell me he was too busy for his own podcast. Nick Wright is just terrible but to add the walking dumpster fire of poor takes in Cris Carter and this podcast becomes one of the worst podcasts of all time. 2 podcasts without Lombardi means I will download one more and if no Lombardi, I will delete this podcast from feeds forever. How Cris Carter has a job is amazing. Great WR but terrible at the English language. Make me Smarter and Cris Carter should never be in the same sentence.

Lombardi was awesome and must listen podcast. But now he is with Bill Simmons, and we are left with Nick Wright all of his terrible hot takes. Podcast quality fell off a cliff without Lombardi.

I miss Lombardi but CC is no consolation prize these guys need their own show, definitely a must listen!

The original podcast was great. I enjoyed it. I thought Nick Wright getting schooled by a former executive, who is from respected franchise, was exactly what a person like me was looking for. I hate hot takes. I hate the popular sports media. I don't feel like that's what Lombardi is after. He speaks well and doesn't seem to enjoy making hot takes, often using facts to support ideas. He gave more of a business side and a different view than the popular belief. It's just it was much different than the rest of the stuff FS1 has to offer. I don't enjoy Skip. Colin is a good voice to hear every day. He makes it interesting, he can hold an audience. But Michael gave a more grounded opinion. He didn't have player view or a fan view, he gave more of a "decision maker" side. And it was very different. You can't make a 2 or 3 hour show out of that, it's not popular enough. But the 30 minutes was perfect. Cris Carter just seems to have a personal agenda. The more I see him on FS1 the more apparent it is. I didn't listen to this podcast for another hot take from a former player. That's everyday material. Especially from Cris Carter. I unsubscribed unless Michael Lombardi returns. I'm tired of the same old thing. "Make Me Smarter" was a good idea. It was a perfect pairing with "The Herd". But what's the point of listening to two shows and getting one or two very similar views/ideas/sides/stories.

Although Nick's attitude was a little too forced for me, I actually thought his show had its moments and was showing a lot of potential. Because as other reviewers have pointed out, Mike is absolutely fantastic in this and kept me coming back each week. Unfortunately Mike is gone and now Chris Carter is his replacement. I have nothing against Chris, but it seems much like Nick, Chris is trying to force a persona. So now you have two people trying to force personas AND Chris is just not as good as Mike at communicating football concepts to the public. Due to this the show has become increasingly difficult to listen to and is now about forced hot takes rather than leaning things about football. I don't know if it's the fact that they are doing the show daily this week, but the overall quality of each episode is terrible now. I was trying to give it a chance, but if I have to hear them explain an awkward "coincidental" meeting of some random football player again I might drink some bleach. Fortunately I turned the episode off right when Spencer ware made a "guest appearance" and not going to listen to another episode for quiet awhile if I even bother giving it another chance. For those of you that miss Mike. Check out the Bill Simmons podcasts on the Ringer network. Mike is over there and they have GREAT chemistry together worth checking out if you're a fan for sure.

It's great! I'm shocked anyone else has rated anything less than 5 Stars! Other than Wright's love for Beckham Jr., (yes, he's a phenomenal player. No, he's not THE best player) I'm really liking this Podcast! Keep up the good work and interesting commentary!!

Today I unsubscribed. Chris Cater is unlistenable, Nick Wrong is awful. I can't give this even one star.

Nick is good. Ditch Chris Carter.

Since Lombardi left for the Ringer, this has just become another sports debate podcast no different than SFY. Enjoy Wright and Carter on other shows but the two of them do little to make me feel smarter about football. "Atlanta's offense is doing something we've never seen before..." they're 11-5. Unsubscribe!

Chris brings the same dumb takes on the game that you are supposed to be correcting.

Lombardi's insights were entertaining an informative. Not sure why Fox would shift to CC. This pod needs ML back. Was 5 star with Lombardi.

Make me smarter = I'm smarter than you. OK. Whatever. But it is good. Lombardi is NOT an idiot. A condescesding A*hole, of course - but maybe he is justified. Maybe. Yeah, listen and maybe, learn. Maybe not because you are a moron and Mike Lombardi is smarter than you, but at least you'll be entertained even if you stay an imbecile. :) Edit: Chris Carter replaced Lombardi. The man is an idiot. I gave up when he told me Brady did something as if my tires do not deflate in winter.

Fox Sports got rid of Mike Lombardi so I stopped downloading.

I just recently found this podcast and have been listening through the playoffs and now pre Super Bowl. I read through the reviews and have concluded Nick must have heard y'all! I hate yelling and if that's what was going on I would have turned it off immediately. I am not hearing it now. I think Nick and Cris have an excellent rapport and come across as very respectful to each other. Nick frequently defers to Cris and his valuable NFL experience. I love Cris' insight and analysis. He's very thoughtful, articulate and fun to listen to. He backs up his position with facts, stories of his personal experiences, and well crafted statements. They are both intelligent - not loudmouths who don't listen to each other and only care about when it's time for them to talk. I find myself talking to them while I am listening as if I were right there in person. Bottom line: engaging, funny, smart podcast that makes me smarter. Thanks! PS - I am a girl who loves football! Who knows - maybe someday they'll invite me on as a special guest to provide the female perspective. hint hint ;)

I sure didn't subscribe to this podcast to listen to Nick Wright's hot takes. It's amazing how much he doesn't understand the format and premise of the show he's hosting. Mike Lombardi has moved over to The Ringer, signing an exclusive contract. Ringer NFL show is a good subscribe, not sure if they'll give him his own channel in addition.

Decent content, hard to listen to

This podcast was bomb with Lombardi...not sure why he's not on it anymore because he was the brains of this operation. Nick Wright is annoying, arrogant and just not smart when it comes to football. Too bad. Won't be listening anymore. Shut 'er down.

Mike Lombardi is the best football analyst out there, bar none. Now that he's not in the show it's not worth listening to. Wrights annoying and CC isn't bad but nothing compared to Lombardi. Don't waste your time.

Without Lombardi this is not worth listening to.

Mike Lombardi is amazing. He actually gives factual reasons for his opinions and is knowledgeable of the game. It's trash with Nick and cris and you might as well call it Undispited 2.0. BRING BACK LOMBARDI

The only reason to listen was to hear Lombardi's breakdown and analysis. Does not appear that he is coming back and is now time to unsubscribe. Hopefully Lombardi picks up with another podcast full time.

A lot of listeners were here for Mike Lombardi, and not for Nick Wright, and ultimately that's why I'm unsubcribing and giving this poor rating. Fox seems to be employing the same strategy to this podcast as they are with their YouTube posts- make ridiculous headlines and claims (OBJ is the best player...) and fail to realize that listeners are trying to hear to football analysis from a pro rather than talking heads. I don't want a Colin Cowherd wannabe, I want to listen to a Super Bowl winner tell me more about a Cheesecake Factory menu. Sad to see the direction of this podcast but hey Lombardi I'll check you out on The bill Simmons podcast instead. Hope you found this insightful and glad there are other listeners who feel similar.

Cris Carter is fine. He is. But Lombardi was much better and nick wright is much more hot takey. On the super bowl preview, they talked about what bob ley said saying, "the patriots will PROBABLY win the the super bowl" and they are the favorites. Then Carter and wright trashed him! Acting like he called it a done game. Ok. Lombardi made it work. It's broke without him

The podcast was good with Lombardi. He provided a unique insight into the game. Suddenly Lombardi disappeared without warning or explanation. I like Cris Carter in general but he doesn't work in this role. Nick Wright is terrible here as he is in everything he does.

Not your average watered down podcast with talking heads regurgitating consensus perspectives.

Nick is a smart guy. Cris Carter is a very good broadcaster, but Michael Lombardi really did make me smarter. He was special, and made this podcast a weekly favorite. Now it's just good. (Hence the 4 stars now, vs 5 with Mr Lombardi.) This is not a dig at Mr Wright or Mr Carter. The former has strong, interesting opinions, and the latter is very quick on his feet with a quip and is tops on receivers. But they had lightning in a bottle with Mr Lombardi. He is worth finding wherever he lands in the media. Just splendid.

Gave them a bad review just to balance it out and mess with them.

I am giving this podcast a two-star review because of what it was when Michael Lombardi was on it. He was funny, informative, and knowledgeable. Cris Carter brings nothing but personality to the podcast, which he has very little of. Lombardi took a complicated game and broke it down into layman's terms using useful analogies. ESPN got rid of Cris Carter for a reason. FS1 tends to pick up ESPN's trash (e.g., Bayless, Cowherd, and now Carter). Bring Lombardi back. Carter is unbearable. I won't be downloading this podcast anymore.

The Michael Lombardi episodes were entertaining & educational, but since he left this podcast blows. Cris Carter is boring & Nick is a know nothing loudmouth goofball. A case study on how to ruin a good thing.

I really enjoyed this podcast when Mike was on. Mike's way to communicating and speaking actually made you feel "smarter". He had a way with words and I always felt intrigue as to how his mind worked, how he would build analogies. I don't mind Nick but he needs some work. I hope they find a comparable replacement to Mike because CC is not interesting. Unsubscribing for now. Maybe I'll catch you later.

When Lombardi is not on the show, it should be called "Make Me Dumber" with Cris Carter and Nick Wright. Pod would be 5 mins shorter if CC stopped saying "National Football League".

Used to be a pretty good pod with Lombardi (only reason to listen) but somehow Lombardi is gone without ANY explanation. PS - Way to be professional guys!! To make matters worse they have replaced him, I guess, with the fraud Cris Carter. Will never listen again. Would recommend no one else waste their time.

I used to look forward to every Tuesday, waiting for this show to pop into my list. I enjoyed the contrast of ideas between Lombardi and Nick Wright. Now they've taken away Mike Lombadi???!!! Please bring back Mike or I'll unsubscribe...

I really like this podcast & look forward to listening each week. Yes, I even like like Nick! Lombardi very knowledgeable, i also enjoyed the last two episodes with Chris Carter. Wouldnt mind if it were 45 mins as 30 seems to go by quickly. Hope they will keep it going some in the offseason as to trades, draft etc. (Yes, Nick gets excited but really folks, its all just a bit of fun. Relax.)

I was a fan of the show with Lombardi, but I don't really care for Cris's takes. I think Carter is pretty intelligent when it comes to the passing game and defending the game, but Lombardi had good insight everywhere else. The host Nic is clearly trying a little too hard at moderating, like he's trying to audition for a more prominent hosting gig. But he has pretty decent takes - when he's not repeating himself.

Loved the show until Lombardi got replaced. If I wanted to hear Chris Carter and you list of terrible, unintelligent got take ex players I'd watch your awful network fox.

Mike Lombardi seems to have disappeared from this show, which is a shame, because he WAS the show. Nick Wright needs to go.

Wow - without Mike Lombardi, this podcast is unlistenable. I love Chris Carter normally, but Nick won't even let him get a word in over his nasal whining and yelling. Couldn't even finish listening to the last one, unsubscribed seeing ML isn't back this week.

What happend to Lombardi? Please bring him back
