One of the best — so disappointed she removed all website content
This is simply one of the best gardening podcasts out there. I was so disappointed when I went to her website to download the show notes and realized she removed all the content. It’s awesome that she has a new focus (probably making a lot more money), but I truly wish she had left the website intact. I can’t imagine it required too much of her.

Inspiring
I really do like this podcast, i only gave 4 stars because i don’t love the 10 minute intro that basically sums up the interview. Her podcast has inspired me to make my own bread at home and start a vegetable garden.

Disappointed
Loved this podcast, it got me so excited about my backyard garden. The abrupt ending was so disappointing. Seems like listeners are lead to believe it will continue but apparently not.

As someone who lives in a big city, and is striving to homestead where we are, your podcast is super helpful! Thank you for providing such thorough and informative content.

Inspiring
Love this podcast! Gives just enough information to inspire trying new things, and connects you with reliable sources of more information. Have started fermenting and started a permaculture garden as a result of listening to Theresa. Thank you for producing such high quality content!

Come on, Spring!
After downloading episodes for 2+ years, I just started listening. And perfect timing—the podcast is on hiatus. I’m ready to “Kon Marie” my gardening tools and hit the dirt. Except, it’s frozen under many inches of snow. With the back catalog, I’ll be ready to grow and preserve a bounty! Thanks so much for great content, tips, and interviews!

Homemade soap
Hello, I really liked your podcast. From your podcast I learned about Joe gardener, present bread. I really like them. However, homemade hand soap with Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap was really bad. I live in Northern California which has hard water. Two of my bathroom sinks were clogged and needed to call plumber for fix which was never happened to us before. Please please let listener know about this. Thank you. Erika

So much goodness here
This is, hands down, my favorite podcast. Theresa’s voice is very melodic and easy to listen to, and the subject matter is top-notch. So many nuggets of helpful wisdom and encouragement. We are diy renovating a 99 year old home so time in the yard is limited currently, but I am soaking up the knowledge in the meantime. This show has me itching to start another garden, and trying things I never thought I’d ever want to attempt (hello chickens and canning—separately, of course)! I’m so excited. Thank you, Theresa!

Love!
This show is great! I love that it focuses on small scale gardening. I have learned a lot about canning & fermenting, and have braved fermenting myself! It has been a fun addition to my cuisine. There are fun guests to add extra inspiration.

Great variety!
I have a long commute and dream of having a homestead one day and this podcast is just what I need! I love the variety, although some topics I prefer over others I still learn something new. Great conversations and guests! Theresa is a great host who is always genuinely interested in the topic which makes me more interested and has a good podcast voice (because we all know some people don’t!) I wish there were either more episodes or more podcasts like this one!

Theresa is amazing at sharing her expertise and knowledge about living an organic lifestyle in a relatable, fun and interesting way! If you love cheese and want to learn about cheese making, ep. 164 with Claudia Lucero is awesome.

She is the reason!
Theresa Loe is the reason I started a garden! Listening to her podcast has opened my eyes to a whole new way of life. Her encouragement to try new things and to experiment has helped me to find and try new things that I would have never thought doing before listening to her. Every time I listen to her podcast there is always something that I can use or learn from to make my life a more sustainable one. She is truly a master of her work. If you had to pick a podcast to listen to about gardening and being more self sufficient than Theresa Loe is the one! She changed my life and I am forever grateful to her and the day I decided to listen to her podcast! Thank you Theresa!!!!!!!

I often feel like I’m listening to a friend that has great ideas and makes me feel smarter for having such a friend. Thanks Theresa!

Something for Everyone!
What do Mason Bees (Ep. 94), Real Pickles (Ep. 153), Spa Experiences with Herbs (Ep. 66), and Raising Backyard Ducks (Ep. 84) have in common? Theresa Loe! Theresa brings many of her own experiences and expertise with living an organic lifestyle to her Living Homegrown podcast, but what makes this podcast even more special are Theresa's interviews with other professionals. In a world where there are so many wonderful individuals sharing "their" way to make kefir, ferment vegetables, or can fruit it is tough to decipher whether the methods they show are safe by today's health standards. From canning fruit, fermenting foods, beginning and maintaining a compost pile, to making your own cheese, and raising your own chickens Theresa brings professionals to her podcast who share the science behind the methods while maintaining organic practices so we DIY novices can learn to "Live more local, seasonal, and homegrown" and do it succesfully and most importantly safely. AND she puts all her podcast information and links to information she shares in her podcast notes. You can sit back and enjoy the interviews all the while knowing the information can be accessed and used later when we are ready. I have a secret girl crush on Theresa. :) She is AMAZING!!!!

Great Podcast!
I love listening to Theresa's podcast! I live thru her stories and teaching, someday I hope I can do some form of homesteading of sorts, but knowing that I can even do somethings now in my little back yard. I love listening to her canning stories and talking about her chickens, bee keepings. Somehow this makes me think back of when I use to cook with my gramma! I just enjoy all the stuff she teaches, just so fun to listen to!

Just what I was yearning for
I just started listing to podcast, and now I’m hooked on yours! I’m 34 and was never taught how to make homemade bread or canning. I listened to one of your podcasts and went out and got the ingredients for the peasant bread. It turned out perfect the very first time!!! Every time I used to try and make bread, my husband and I would joke saying the bread was only fit to be shot out of a cannon 🤣 After making the peasant bread, now I feel more confident in bread making. I love love love this podcast and have already shared it with my best friend! Thank you!

Always informative
I frequently listen to these podcasts while gardening. They keep me inspired, even though I know I’ll never take advantage of most of these wonderful homesteading ideas. I’m inspired by the knowledgeable, enthusiastic guest experts. Maybe some day ....

Best Podcast if you love to learn
In the world of today it is hard to sift through all the information that is out there. This podcast is trustworthy. You will learn so much by just listening and if something interests you the complimentary blog/website has more information along with resources to help you get deep into the subject of your choice (cheese making, chicken keeping, water bath canning, growing & preserving herbs, the secret to the perfect orange marmalade and so much more). The book/author recommendations on her blog are amazing and useful. This podcast is truly a hidden gem. The way Theresa speaks is empowering & motivating. She explains time tested techniques in easy to understand steps. She continually has guest speakers featured on her podcast who are experts in their field. I am so thankful I discovered this amazing podcast! Every week I learn something new.

Great podcast!
Lots of great information, wide range of relevant topics. I’ve been reading, studying and practicing sustainability and homesteading for years but I still learn something new from almost every episode.

Great, informative podcast!
I really enjoy this podcast and the wide range of guests and topics covered - my favorite being anything to do with bread making! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it does bother me how long it takes the host to finally get to the interview - sometimes up to 30 minutes! I often skip ahead.

Amazing Program!
I just LOVE this podcast!! It's everything I am interested in, all rolled into one nice little package. The topics have a nice variety, the guests are always really interesting (my book list has grown to about a mile long now...), and I've learned so much. On days when I feel too busy or exhausted from all of the hard work that goes into this lifestyle, Theresa helps remind me once again of exactly why I am doing it. Thank you for creating this!
