Great podcast. If we’re being real, we all know that the design field can come with pretentiousness and self importance at times. That is not the case here. Sometimes these guys a little long winded but it’s still an engaging conversation focused on a mix of personal life, career and tech. Thanks for the fun podcast and keeping it light!

Didn’t realize Layout would be a livestream Grindr date. Be warned

These guys are friendly and charming with lots of tech nerdiness and playfulness. When they aren't doping knowledge bombs about design they discuss their lives and many random things in a way that makes you feel like you know them as a friend. Sometimes their tangents last too long but its a small price to pay for the total value of the show.

This show has become one of my favorites. Great job Rafa and Kevin on the recent topic episodes.

I started listening to this show a couple months ago - and haven't missed an episode since. Keep up the good work guys👏

This podcast, by far, has my favoirte content out of any design podcast. I love how the hosts nerd out about aesthetics, implementations, and other relevant topics. It's defintely like ATP for design. The content is top notch and I wouldn't want to change anything. I think the hosts' performances could be better. I find myself getting distracted by some of their verbal ticks. The hosts tend to stretch out words to avoid pauses (pauses are like white space, use them), ending statements with an upward turning question-like inflection, and breathy laughter in between explaining things. It all sounds overly friendly. On the most well known tech podcasts, hosts sound more direct, and even a bit confrontational. It's much easier to listen to hosts that are more direct.

If you’re in the design field in any way, you've really got to listen to Layout. It’s the ATP of design. Rafa and Kevin talk through all news, but the real meat of it are the deep-dives on things that interest them, and are relevant to our craft. When it pops up in Overcast, it goes straight to the top of my queue. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the balance of design, project management, lifestyle, and pop culture talk that this show covers. The hosts are great. Hope they keep up the good work. Absolute must listen for designers.

I have followed Rafael and his Sketch Casts for a while now, so I was excited to hear he was doing a podcast. It has already been mentioned but Layout is like sitting around with a couple of friends who know a lot more and just not saying anything while they talk. As someone making a career change at 40 to work as a graphic designer (hopefully), this podcast helps to answer a lot of questions I don’t have anyone to ask. Fantastic podcast and highly recommended for web and mobile design topics.

Two guys that love design click "record" and have a conversation. It's not full of ego, it's also not lacking in passion -- they manage to talk like real people, discussing real problems that designers and designerds alike face every day. Stuff like workflow, research, process, the new Uber identity or a grand new interface concept for computers. And of course, tools. It's the day to day stuff. And if you're like me, it's the stuff you want to get into a 2 hour long conversation about with another designer over coffee, but probably don't have the time, or maybe don't have a friend that's quite as nerdy about quite the same things as you. They *are* that conversation, and now you get to listen to it on your commute to work, and listen again at the gym so you can let everything sink in. I've listened to every episode, and a few of them several times over, because these dudes have things to say that I want to hear. They are bright, thoughtful, modest, and the perfect balance between opinionated and unbiased, always considering as many angles as they can.

Boom I am #1. (couldn’t help it.) Really enjoy listening to this show on my way into work. The content and topics are always meaningful and very down to earth. Kevin and Raf have a unique and human way of discussing and reviewing a tool or topic. Keep crushing it. Cheers, Adam
