Ugh!
Whoever created and uses this imbecilic, virtue-signaling term needs to go back to school. We DO NOT appreciate being called “Latinx” I prefer the term “Latin American”. Ever heard of it?? 🙄
V.EKR
Dumb name
No one with credibility uses terms like “Latinx.”

Huh?
I know what a Latino is and what a Latina is, I actually know a lot of them personally. I have never seen a Latinx and don’t know what one is. Is that some kind of creature or something? Asking for an amigo.

Lol Latin x
Way to let liberal white women change your language, there is no such thing as Latinx.

Laughable
No matter how hard you try to make latinx a thing it will never be a thing

How about you start by not insulting us with the term Latinx.. so gross and out of touch.

Eye opening/soul opening/mind opening podcast!
I am non-stop recommending this podcast to my friends and family including my parents. We think there are enough resources out there but Latinx Therapy serves our community so specifically and deeply in English AND Spanish. I can’t give Adriana Alejandre enough praises for her dedication in building this. Thank you!

Gracias
As a survivor of sexual abuse I have gone through so much healing and reflection. Until now, I have never heard sexual abuse talked about in our communities. I feel like this has opened a path in my healing I didn’t know was necessary. I will seek culturally relevant content about this going forward. Thank you!!

MUST LISTEN LATINX THERAPY PODCAST!!
Simply adore this podcast series more than ever realize LATINX mental healthcare is becoming more commonplace within marginalized communities. The selected topics and subject matters mentioned in this series are necessary to discuss and culturally appropriate to communicate with LATINX and non-LATINX podcast audiences. For the professional fields (e.g. accounting, social work, education), this podcast series have the relevance of information useful in helping, working with, or understanding intersectional underrepresented populations.

Relatable!!
Just started listening to this podcast after listening to another postcast called Millennials Meet World and was absolutely blown away what Adriana Alajandre was talking about mental health issues in the Latinx Communities which is rarely ever talked about and I can relate to this because growing up with parents in a Mexican household they don’t believe in mental health issues and think it’s just something you can “work out or go running” to get rid of it.. so yeah a lot of information in this podcast! Thank you! Keep up the hard work!! :)

Honestly thank you for creating this podcast. This is helpful in me taking steps to go to counseling. It feels like home to have this podcast, even though therapy is unfamiliar and scary to me.

Wow! You’re amazing!
This is a great podcast! I’m much older than you but your story about bing a teen mom is a true inspiration. I definitely related a whole lot and I’m sure many other women would too. I was searching for a podcast that referred to the the Latino culture. I’m a Guatemalan mother of 4, and I know I need help will benefit from listening to your podcast. Thanks for the work you’re putting into helping families overcome the stigma of receiving mental health support. Muchas bendiciones!

This podcast has been an eye opener for me. I had been able to find therapist, learn new vocabulary in Spanish about mental health but most importantly it has help me explain to my mother what are some of the issues I am battling with! A must listen!!! Highly recommend

This podcast is what our community has been needing!
I am a therapist myself and was turned to this podcast by my Latinx clients. This has been empowering for them and exciting for me every time a new one comes out. It’s liberating and revolutionary. Highly recommend.

Invaluable Resource 🙌🏻
The Spanish version of this podcast is an invaluable resource for both Latinx families and social service professionals. This podcast provides psycho-education to Spanish speaking clients in a concise, yet meaningful way. As a Mexican American woman, summing up her 1st year of a 2-year MSW program I have found that this podcast has informed my practice through aiding communication of clinical lingo to my Spanish speaking clients. I can not stress the importance of the messages found with in your podcast Adriana! Muchisimas Gracias!

Best MH Podcast out there for Latinx
I am a current Master’s student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I am a Dominican-American. I have always been interested in mental health and in recent years knew that this is the profession that is right for me. Listening to this podcast is so educational and really helps to reaffirm that I made the right decision with my career path. It also has the double added positive layer of being Latinx focused. It really helps me to realize things about my own identity growing up Latinx, but also what it will be like going back into our communities and working through the negative stigmas of mental health most of us grew up with. I recommend this podcast to everyone in the Latinx community, but especially to those that work in the mental health field and are not Latinx, because this will really help give you more information and more of a perspective of how to better serve your Latinx clients. Highly recommended!

So glad this podcast exists to promote mental health advocacy for our Latinx community! I have used this podcast to open up conversations on the importance of mental health with my Latinx family while commuting in my car. I love how each podcast is translated in Spanish. My Teen Pregnancy Story Part 1
I’ve been listening to this podcast from the start and I can relate to most of the episodes. It’s an amazing podcast. This specific episode really hit home with me. I myself was a teenage mother who went through similar issues. My children are now teens and I really needed to hear this to remind myself of the fact that I’m not the only one going through this. I just feel a sense of community every time I listen to the podcast. Keep doing amazing work!

Extremely educating
I found this podcasts on IG. I was so excited to find a page and a podcast dedicated to mental health specifically for the Latinx community. I am on podcast #3 and so far it has been so interesting. I am a Latina myself. I am currently working on my bachelors degree in Human Services with the goal of working directly with the Latinx community. In class, when we talk about issues; we don’t talk specifically about the Latinx community which is expected especially because my university is a PWI (primarily white institute) Latinxtherapy is that extra resource I can use to learn about the issues I know about but exactly how it affects the community. I want to add that the author/owner of the podcast is amazing. I watched her live on IG today and I just felt reassured and happy to be in the field I am. Although I currently don’t plan on going to graduate school to obtain my masters; I might down the line because we need more Latinx representation in mental health. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DO THESE PODCASTS!

Bipolar disorder episode
I’m new to the podcast world and had a friend recommend Latinx Therapy. Let me tell you, I am so grateful for his recommendation and for this episode. The info on Bipolar was on point as to how I have experienced seeing and living with a close friend of mine with this illness. It’s been hard to watch him go through the ups/downs of this illness, but glad he is getting help. Thank you Latinx therapy for educating us about such an important topic - signed a new listener.

Just what we needed!
I was excited when I heard about the podcast launching. As a new Latinx therapist, I was looking forward to hearing a podcast that talks about mental health through the Latinx lens and it didn’t disappoint! It not only brings in mental health professionals to talk about mental health topics but also other Latinx influencers to talk about heir personal mental health experiences. Adriana does a great job in talking about topics that pertain and are of interest to the Latinx community and are bilingual!! I look forward to see how the podcast continues to develop, I’ll be here to listen!

Bipolar Episode
I appreciate the cultural relevancy weaved throughout the podcast. In order to improve the podcast, I need to point out that the Bipolar episode is grossly misinformed. The length of time in hypomania and mania are so varying and not confined to 4-7 days. Bipolar 2 hypomania can last months. I share this because both disorders are misunderstood.

Love listening in Spanish!
I am a young Latino in California who has recently graduated college and this podcast feels really relevant to me. It’s been great getting to listen to other people in the community talk about mental health and I love that it’s also in Spanish.

Bilingual episodes
Hi, Im a mental health therapist and I learned about the podcast through my colleague and I shared with my group supervisor. We listened to the chancla episode and wish that it could be Spanish. So many of our client’s parents can benefit from listening to it. I have tried to discuss it but it is not the same. Hoping that it can be offered in Spanish!!!!!

Love this!
I absolutely love this podcast! I’m Latina and I work in mental health. It’s so refreshing to hear someone talking about uniquely Latinx issues when it comes to mental health. We need more of this!

Love this podcast 💗
I’m a Latina who has been suffering from anxiety and depression for some time. I love that this podcast acknowledges my culture and the dynamics of mental health within familia. Definitely opens up a door to talk openly about this with my Mom who speaks Spanish. I would encourage people to seek professional one on one help. You’re worth it!
