Honey
Campfire Media
Julia Meltzer interviews real couples about their fights: how, why, whose fault is it, do you still love each other - the JUICY stuff. At times hilarious, at times painful, at times full of heartbreakingly raw honesty, these conversations expose truths about love, human beings, and the concept of partnership.
You’re Being a Butthead (Micah & Keylee)
Keylee and Micah return to Honey! They have now been married for seven years, and they are awesome. They are amazing filmmakers who work together so they have lots of experience navigating conflict. Micah’s currently a news junkie and Keylee is taking in very little news and focusing on the positive. Julia talks to them about their religious background and evolution, Micah’s frustration with Keeley leaving the door open when she goes outside, whether or not they should decamp to rural Texas, and Julia’s new bidet. We also hear a little more about Julia’s relationship and their (shameful) lack of fighting. -- SHOW INFORMATION Honey on Instagram: @HoneyWithJulia Honey on Twitter: @HoneyWithJulia Keylee and Micah’s previous episode of Honey: http://wearecampfire.media/episodes/the-last-six-years-micah-keylee/ Watch Backsliders the series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaLr_U_Ej0HlodTtIe9aDqEAbJdjNcZzd Listen to Backsliders podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/backsliders/id1496847704 Watch the Backsliders podcast: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaLr_U_Ej0Hm6X0_IKlnz0bAO_8k5HIhZ Follow Micah and Keylee: https://www.instagram.com/backslidersshow https://www.instagram.com/thebobbilliams/ https://m.facebook.com/thebobbilliams https://www.instagram.com/keyleemakes/ https://www.instagram.com/micah_sudduth/

Steady Eddy (Brooke & Wilhelm)
Brooke and Wilhelm have been married for seven years. Under normal circumstances they work from home together, but these days Brooke is home and Wilhelm is out taking care of some horses. So their quarantine situation is unique but don’t worry, they have the pro-tips for couples cooped up together! 1) Standup every 30 minutes. 2) Headphone hours! Brooke looooved to pick fights early on in their relationship, but now their fights are very vanilla. Wilhelm retreats to stay calm, and Brooke doesn’t want to stop talking until it’s fixed. Stay tuned to the very end for one juicy quarantine-related fight! -- EPISODE LINKS Marriage: A History on Indiebound Traveling During COVID-19 Spring Breakers Out and About (aka “Covid Bros”) Upcoming Power Couples Podcast Season SHOW INFORMATION Honey on Instagram: @HoneyWithJulia Honey on Twitter: @HoneyWithJulia

You Can Be Crazy Right Now, I Can Be Crazy Right Now (Sydney & Noah)
Sydney and Noah are LA-based comedians who have been together for two and a half years. They got together when Noah simply refused to be a rebound hookup and now live together! While quarantining and preparing to quarantine, they have had some grocery-related conflicts - but that doesn't count as a fight. A fight involves storming out of the car and into a 7-11 due to the stresses of LA real estate. Their advice for quarantined couples: FaceTime your friends from separate rooms, eat edibles at night, and remember to ~stay intimate~. Breaking Up (Courtney & Brian) | Honey Greatest Hits #3
Courtney Arnett and Brian Kelly are Chicago transplants to LA who used to live together and once went to a 1920's themed engagement party that sounds really insufferable. Courtney told me she would come on the show with her ex and tell the story of a fight that ended with makeup sex in the bathroom of said engagement party. THAT IS WHAT SHE TOLD ME, OKAY? Nobody had any idea that this one would end up going where it did. Buckle your seatbelt around your frail little heart, because this is a doozy.

Feels Right (Nick & Danielle) | Honey Greatest Hits #2
Nick and Danielle have been together for four years, and this is their second time dating. They met while they were students studying abroad in London, broke up when they moved to different places, and got back together a couple of years later. Their fight now is about whether or not to move in together – Nick wants to, Dani does not. Also we discuss how “the ball’s in your court” is not a good metaphor – are you not on the same court? Are you not even playing basketball or tennis together?

Ari and Betsy have been together for NINETEEN years...but it “feels like twenty!” They look VERY young for a couple who got MARRIED ten years ago and have three young boys! The great majority of their fights, especially their pre-children fights, occurred either en route to or returning from the IKEA in New Jersey.

Brutal (Tyler & Dashia)
Tyler & Dashia are about to celebrate their SIXTEENTH wedding anniversary but they’ve been together for TWENTY years! Self-identified “harmless pranksters,” they’re perfect for one another. Their main conflicts revolve around spending habits. They also chat with Julia about fights centering on chores and driving, the relative fairness of their contributions, and the fact that they are seen by some friends as “brutal” fighters.
