Insightful, fun to listen podcast, but Holy Ads, Batman! I’m an avid podcast listener and this one has a noticeably much high proportion of ads than almost any other other. Annoying to have to skip through such loooooooong ads that are the same every episode. Once you do skip them, there’s great content though!

I love Ashley C. Ford! She’s an excellent host who asks thoughtful questions and handles nuanced discussion so well. Will listen to anything she does!

I wish these conversations were longer! I’m always surprised when things are wrapped up. This show is a wonderful representation of the strength supplied by female friendships and tenacity and creativity of women, especially women of color. I have enjoyed every episode.

WoW! I’ve been a fan of CYG for a while, and ran across this and was SO happy to see Anne Friedman blossom in this beautiful way. Thank you Ann for sharing your talents with us! The stories Ann’s guests share and discuss in a conversation that makes me feel like I’m right there with them, are interesting to say the least and develop plumpaliciously with personal insights that involve the heart and the gut just as much as the mind. A truly whole person experience, for both the guest and the listener. Would love for this series to go on and on and on!

This was astonishing. I am sitting here re-listening to it in my mind. Ms Stanley in my opinion is a profound thinker whose tools to self-knowledge she is willing to share openly. She is also very funny.

This is quite literally exactly what I need in my life right now. I’m so excited I’ve discovered this and also that it isn’t *brand* new so I get to go through the back catalogue :D

I love hearing these honest stories of real life situations. These women are sharing the harder sides of situations that we tend to hide online and in person but by pulling back the curtain they are allowing us to learn SO MUCH about business and the ability to overcome!

I keep checking to see if there are more coming. These podcasts are meaningful, interesting, and inspiring. Please do a second season!

I listened to all of the season 1 episodes in a day and a half. I loved hearing the variety of stories. I needed this. I just resigned from a full time position and will be pursuing my own business/practice. This podcast helped me go through with it and to prepare me to have the difficult conversation w my supervisor. Thank you!

Ann Friedman is a wonderful interviewer. I love the choice of guests. Most are people I haven’t heard interviewed before, yet they’ve lived fascinating lives. The stories ate simultaneously unique yet universal. Here’s hoping for many seasons to come!

Hoping for a second season as well! I liked the half an hour time frame of the show and the diversity of topics/people that were covered! I think this is an interesting question that I wrestle with often as an artist and entrepreneur.

I am hoping a second season of these come out soon. I like the format and the length of these stories.

Excellent podcast. Thank you for these wonderful stories about going through it. A great reminder that some things work out and some don’t but it is the journey that we should pay attention to most.

I love this podcast & it's my new fave. I love a skillful interview where the interviewer gets to the heart of a story like Ann does here (reminds me of a longtime fave podcast, Another Round) and I love that the stories are humane, human, and humanizing—truly excellent guests. I love the episode on being fired by your best friend. There is something to be said about friendship and business.

The women profiled in this series are so interesting, and I love that each episode focuses on a teeny, tiny piece of their lives. They each make instances of failure and insecurity tangible. Ann is really adept at teasing out the feelings that are relatable to each of us. I really, really hope she (and the team!) can do more. Love the format.

thank you for these candid conversations that prioritize the raw over the of rah-rah. my only complaint is that the episodes are too short. i could easily consume these long-form.

I love this podcast because no really sees all the work, the failures you learn from to achieve success. Thanks to all the guests for sharing their stories. It reminds me of something actor Matt Damon said in an interview on the heals of Good Will Hunting success, “It only took me 10 years to be an overnight success”.

I like the format but I would like more background of each of the interviewees (impact their personal and professional background had on these pivotal moments/challenges).

This show follows a familar formula but the stories are not quite there. I listened to a few episodes expecting to be inspired by these women, but found their stories to be boring and offering unsatisfying outcomes. The question that should be answered at the end of each episode is "What are you accomplishing now? What's your new dream and how can you avoid being crushed again?" If each episode can end on a positive note or at least offer better lessons learned from their supposed tales of self-discovery, then I might listen again.
