Definitely worth a listen
I stumbled upon this podcast completely by accident and I am SO glad I did. Prior to listening I had never heard of Tammy Jo’s case. Each episode is done with such care. I enjoyed the calm style of both reporters. They complimented each other well. My husband and I listened to each episode and by the end my husband was in tears (never happens ever). Our hearts broke for Tammy Jo and her already tragic life cut short in such a violent way. As parents of many children, we were crushed by the seemingly lack of regard for what had become of Tammy Jo. Every victim deserves a name and to be missed. The efforts of law enforcement and Sheriff York were tireless in the pursuit of an identity this victim and answers to what happened to her and why. I wish all law enforcement took this much pride in their work!! I highly recommend this podcast. I wish there was more, I pray one day Tammy Jo will receive justice!

Quick and short
basic podcast looking to track down a killer. Not too in depth.

Interesting but all over the place
Possibly interesting story but the way this story was told in 10 min podcasts made it very confusing. I was so confused at times about the order of events. I wish there was more information or more interviews!

Episodes too short but good.
This is a fascinating podcast but the episodes are way too short.

Above average
Production is better than a lot of true crime pods, narrator has a pleasant delivery and the reporting is top tier.

Highly recommend for fans of true crime and local journalism

Lacking depth
This podcast is lacking the reporting depth that makes many other true crime podcasts so great. All of this information could have been covered in 1-2 episodes.

Fascinating story.

Love it!
Wish they were longer episodes but it's done well and thoroughly. Great quality and narration. Will continue listening.

Great podcast
Quick listen and definitely binge-worthy. Uplifting in the sense that it wasn't another story of police/detectives dropping the ball on the investigation. Great podcast.

Thin..
I found this podcast frustrating. While the production quality was great, there just wasn't enough depth in the story that unfolded to warrant an 8 part series. Most of the story can be read in a USA Today article from early 2015. The highlights were the episode with the old friend who was trying to find Tammy.

Grammar. It's important.
The female host has used incorrect grammar multiple times during this podcast. INEXCUSABLE from an employed journalist!!! Until you learn the difference between a subject and a direct object, you've been lowered to ONE STAR. BOOOO! This podcast is a very good entry from WXXI, except for the poor grammar from the female "journalist". The episodes could/should be longer with more information, but it's well produced otherwise.

Hopefully there will be more!
This podcast is done with compassion and I hope there will be more episodes to listen to.

Ok but didn't dig very deep
Interesting case but seems like they did the bare minimum. The episodes were mostly very short. They could have dug much deeper and only just scratched the surface. Again interesting facts but a more in depth focus would have been great.

Loved it!
I loved this, I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and this is one of the best. Really interesting, great reporting, perfect voices. Everything you could want in a podcast. I hope you two come back for possibly another case!

Love this podcast
This podcast was perfect. The story was easy to follow while still very thorough. I hope there another season about another cold case

Potential without follow-through
Not terrible (I listened to all episodes), but not in the same league as "Accused" and "In the Dark." It lacks detail, deep research and revelation. They don't probe interviewees's vague answers. Two-minute recap/intros for 15-episodes? Repeating the same audio clips in several episodes? Why? The local law officers and civilians are the most interesting part, along with the web sleuth guy who broke the case. Audio quality is very good, and the hosts seem to be competent professionals, one from a newspaper, so, perhaps their sophomore effort will be better!

Average
Intriguing story which is told well, but lacks the in-depth analysis of similar 'shows' such as Accused, Someone Knows Something, In the Dark, etc.

Very well done.
Brief, but very interesting. True crime. High production value.
Cold Traces pod
Solid podcast.
If you are a true crime/mystery fan, you will not be disappointed. Very interesting and well put together! Enjoyed it very much.

Great podcast albeit short episodes!
Awesome story! Quite gripping and produced so well. Just wish the episodes were longer. Need more podcasts like this one!

Good, if brief, miniseries podcast
Finding Tammy Jo is a wonderfully reported, if unsatisfyingly brief, podcast about the disappearance of a young woman in the 1970s. All told, it's only a few hours' worth of entertainment, so you could totally listen over the course of an afternoon. The story itself is compelling. A "Kelly Doe" is found murdered, and the case remains cold until the 00s, when...well I'll just leave it there.

Great job!
Great to listen to a podcast done locally and so well done. It started out a little slow but I was immediately hooked. I skim past the beginning parts that go over previous episodes. They don't seem necessary but that's an observation, not a complaint. Great job!

Love it!
As a Rochester native, it's awesome to listen to a Podcast produced in my hometown. Overall, a great listen with with interviews, recordings from the past, & great music to bring it all together. I only wish the episodes were a bit longer, but they are the perfect length to hold your attention the entire time. Congrats to the Team & keep up the great work!

Excellent Podcast About an Intriguing Case
Really well written and produced podcast about the murder of an anonymous woman and the decades long quest to identify her and work toward some form of justice. This case is particularly refreshing because listening restores some faith in the justice system. You don't hear enough about tenacious detectives who want the truth more than anything else. The authorities in this case had several opportunities to clear the case by laying blame on individuals who had falsely confessed, and they did not take the bait; instead they followed thousands of false leads and held on to the hope that one day the truth would be known.

Very thorough
Great true crime storytelling.

True Crime at it's best
This is a great investigation of a pretty tragic but fascinating case. The episodes could stand to be a little longer, but I'm hooked already. I wish the next episode was out already!
