Powerful protein podcast !!
Vanessa has one of the only podcasts that I have listened to that is genuinely and purely knowledge and scientifically based in the field of nutrition. Her knowledge of the subject is clear and listening to her guests and her unbiased opinions is something I look forward to weekly. I learn so much from the topics covered. It’s like she has a sixth sense on what I need to hear. I discovered her while trying to figure out the best nutritional needs for my metabolism back when Keto became mainstream in 2015. Her ketogenic diet programs are incredible and I am so thankful that she backs what she gives to the keto community with this wonderful optimal protein podcast . Thank you Vanessa.

Great guests but…
I’ve listened to a few episodes now and she has had on some great guests, but it’s unbelievable how often she chuckles and laughs after every comment - comments that are not meant to be funny. I was just listening to the podcast with Dr Lyon. Majority of the conversation was on serious/important topics and the host kept laughing after everything that was being mentioned (?) It was tough getting through the episode, and the unwarranted laughter was very distracting. Dr. Lyon was very poised and very passionate on the subjects, but the host kept laughing after each comment for no reason at all.

I started following Vanessa after I met her on the Intermittent Fasting podcast. I am in my car a lot driving, and I don’t even mine the drive any more because I am excited to listen to the Optimal Protein Podcast twice a week! I always learn something new, and I love the deep dives into all the science, especially the biochemistry! I am a science teacher and I can even use some of the info in my own classroom. ☺️ I have completely changed my diet now to be protein focused, and it is life-changing! I love this podcast - Vanessa and her guests have fun conversations that are informative and give practical advice that can be done by us common folk. Sometimes I’ll read the podcast title and think “that doesn’t apply to me” but I listen anyways and always walk away learning something new! I love her views on health and fitness.

I recently became a Type 1 diabetic at 43 years old and I love all of the great health information you provide on this show. I love that you focus on women, women over 40, how blood glucose is effected, and how to reduce inflammation. My A1C has gone from 11.5 at diagnosis to a 5.3 less than a year later following the keto lifestyle.

I’m a 40 something mama to two very athletic young women that is trying to learn everything about protein intake, hormones, and living optimally, not only for myself, but to share with my girls. I’ve been listening to your show for several months now and really enjoy all of your episodes. Not only is the information informative, but you do a great job of breaking down research and hard to understand science in a way we can all understand. I really appreciate that you dive so deep into all the research to give facts and not simply push your agenda. I have loved the latest protein series and look forward to each and every episode you put out. Love listening to the Optimal Protein Podcast: Protein Series. I learned how the Amino Acid LEUCINE is essential for muscle protein synthesis. I realized that I definitely wasn’t consuming enough protein. I have been listening Optimal Protein Podcast for a long time, I have transitioned to a higher protein diet and the information that Vanessa shares had supported my change, I was to live longer and stronger, so at least 100 grams of protein a day is my thing now. Every guest and the solo episodes are full of great information, useful and practical. I’m grateful she went for a degree that had her share all her learnings and research in her podcast, ever since, I’m deeper in the topics she shares! Vanessa, the host, is very smart, sweet, she makes the topics easy to follow and understand! She’s my company while I’m working out.

Mixed feelings
I recently returned to a modified keto diet after a break. This was one of my go to podcast for keto/protein information. After listening to a bunch of episodes lately, I feel the podcast has become too self serving. As a small business owner myself I can appreciate building out your brand but the endless promotion of her products seems overdone. I feel like the topics are geared towards selling her devices or supplements and the education info is a byproduct of this. There is definitely good info in there but having to hear constantly about her products is a turn off. I would recommend going back and listening to older shows though.
