In 2020, when the world felt like it was ending, I would spend the evenings watching my younger brother play Fallout 76 with my then-boyfriend (now-fiance!). In a time of uncertainty, there was something oddly soothing in playing through a game about the end of the world with a banger soundtrack. I picked up gaming for myself because I was fascinated by this post-modern future and began with Fallout 3 and then dove into 4. I have always been SO interested in the lore, but only decided to dig into it when the Amazon Prime show came out. That’s when GLASH, BAM, ALAKAZAM- I stumbled upon the Lorecast, and I’m SO glad I did. It’s been the perfect thing to listen to as I run errands or do chores about the house to keep my brain stimulated from the excellent insight into a really fascinating franchise. I started from the beginning, and am still working my way through, but this is a must-listen for anyone who loves a thoroughly built-out world.

I just started this podcast and I’m pleasantly surprised by the quality! R0b0ts has a pleasant voice and a soothing cadence. The writing and preparation is thoughtful and thought provoking (as the conversational format should be) and the sound design right out of the gate is tremendous. Just after listening to episode one I knew this podcast was made by professionals and more importantly, it was made by Fallout fans. Until I get caught up with the release schedule, I wanted to check in as a new listener and offer my gratitude for such an in depth audio format of my favorite game series of all time.

I’ve listened to about twenty episodes so far and if you like history and fallout this is what you’ve been looking for! I had tried other fallout podcasts the hosts were very well meaning gamers that didn’t quite understand how to hook an audience. R0b0ts hooks you soooo good. His style is very similar to Dan Carlins Hardcore history which makes for a fun and informative listen. Although he chimes in on one of the earlier episodes that you can jump around the series, but I don’t want to miss a thing! Hopefully he still reads these reviews because he’s made my work day a lot less boring! Thanks R0b0ts!

The show had a great start, I was just wanting to listen to Fallout lore and have a better understanding of it. But after several dozen episodes, it’s now feeling more like a phycology lecture with the MC. I gave 2 stars because I was enjoying the show for a while and I did get a lot of information out of it I was looking for. Now I feel like I’m wasting time listening because of the lack of lore. Probably not gonna listen again.

I started to get into/understand the world of Fallout, because my boyfriend was getting excited about the show coming out. I had no idea where to start, because when it comes to a video game I have to know every little detail about the lore...and I get pretty picky about my podcasts. This podcast was an amazing discovery!! If you’re looking for a Fallout podcast that really dives deep I’d say definitely START HERE! Super easy listening, keeps you hooked, and makes you think. Its made me excited to play the game, and watch the new show.

I am three episodes in after getting re-hooked on Fallout again after the tv show came out. I dusted off my old Xbox and am currently running through New Vegas again for nostalgia. If you’re anything like me and just want to live in the world even when you’re not playing this is the podcast for you.

This show is definitely the best way to learn about fallout lore. Combining the lore with comedy and occasional mindless banter really makes the information accessible and keeps you coming back. Thank you Robots for the great work.

This is an amazing podcast, I work as a cart pusher for Walmart and these podcasts get me through some of the hottest days of the year, just hearing the opening jingle warms my heart because I know I’m in for something great, keep up the good work and fighting the good fight.

Started listening about a week ago and I am 53 episodes in. This podcast actually convinced me to give Fallout 76 a second chance and now I’m hooked. I’ve played the games since Fallout 3 came out and it’s one of my favorite game series. The lore has always fascinated me with this game and now I get to hear it. I wish I would’ve found this podcast sooner. R0b0ts is an amazing host and dives deep into the lore and has excellent explanations on what is going on in the Fallout Universe. Can’t wait to binge the 200+ episodes to catch up. Would give 10 Stars if I could. Keep fighting the good fight! Will update when I get caught up!

By far my favorite podcast I listen to! No other podcast makes me want to listen through every older episode, sometimes more than once, quite like the Fallout Lorecast! I’ve been listening for over a year and it never gets old hearing new and old Fallout stories and lore, or even just thoughts on different topics in the Fallout universe that means so much to so many of us. Live it this when I frost found this podcast I wasn’t all that interested in the approach that Robots goes about the lore, but coming back to it a few years later, I was bored and decided to get back into it, and glad I did it reignited my passion for Fallout. I’ve been playing fallout for a while, mainly 4,3, and new Vegas and love the fallout games in general. I have been looking for a good fallout podcast but couldn’t find one until I found fallout lore cast. Keep on making great videos!

This is a fantastic show! I just discovered this podcast a couple weeks ago, I’m fairly new to the Fallout world, I played New Vegas a few years back and just started Fallout 4 and wanted to learn more about the in-game lore. Low and behold this show has everything I was looking for and more! The host, Tom/Robots is easy to listen to, is passion about the information he presents and the patrons offer unique perspectives. I highly recommend this for any Fallout fan!

This podcast is the best Fallout lore podcast out there! Tom is a great host and showman and explains lore and facts in an easy-to-understand way. Episodes are interesting and packed full of (sometimes terrifying) lore, and help me get through the tedious and boring parts of my day.

I cannot recommend this enough to anyone if you are a lover of fallout and learning the lore behind it Tom is the guy to do it I’ve been playing since Fallout 3 and I’ve learned things that I’ve never looked into or heard of until i came across this and man I was hooked from the beginning, thank you Tom for putting so much dedication and time into this! Absolutely awesome. Tom is an awesome speaker. I also found who dropped the bombs in fallout 4. If you go to mahkra fish packing plant in fallout 4, on one of the rolls of Boston bugles it says that China released an “atomic ultimatum” which probably lead to the Great War.

I’m a 30-something husband and father with a white collar job, and playing video games is my way to escape the nine-to-five. Fallout (primarily 4 and 76) have always been of interest to me, and I love to scare myself with the stories behind each vault, some of the people you come across, and the experience of wandering around the atomic wasteland. This podcast helps me daydream, while I’m cleaning the house or doing the dishes I’ll listen to an episode as a prologue to playing for a few hours before bed. Absolutely amazing job Tom! Thank you for reigniting my passion for this amazing game.

Someone needs to go get our old pal Strong because I’m pretty sure Robots here has the true milk of human kindness! As someone who grew up in the 2000s, fallout 3 was my first fallout. I used to watch my dad play back when it first came out and oh man it stuck with me, it was creepy and gritty, and yet somehow still silly and fun, with great stories all throughout. As I got older, I started to realize all of the social commentary that these games provide, and how some of these stories are like “what if” scenarios for reality. Art can change people, motivate them, and drive them in various directions depending on how it’s interpreted, and just like how art can very seriously impact our real lives, the reality we live in goes to shape the kind of art and stories that people create. I work in a production setting and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that sometimes it feels like working for repcon or westtek, In a world that every day seems like it inches a little bit closer to resembling pre-war fallout, it’s nice to know that we’ve got our “three-dog” watching out for us. Tom does an incredible job at breaking down the lore and the stories that this series provides, in an intelligent and intriguing way that keeps me hooked and coming back for more. I love that he doesn’t stray from the hard topics, or brutal honesty that this game wants us to pick up on, we need more truth seekers and story tellers in this world. Keep fighting the good fight Tom, you’ve got a fan for life.

I’ve been a huge fan of Fallout since (Fallout 3.) After taking a break from 76 for a while, I was getting back into the wastleland and needed to listen to something to get me pumped. Stumbled across this incredible podcast. Listened to the current episode, then immediately went back and started crushing from episode one. If you’re a fan of the Fallout series do yourself a solid and give a listen, you’ll be hooked from the delivery , the pacing , and of course the lore. Makes the work days better , walks with the doggos better and even playing in the background while playing 76. Thanks for all that you do . (Also picked up a shirt, couldn’t resist)

I love the podcast and just started listening this week! I’ve been playing Fallout since I got my OG Xbox 360 in a bundle that included Fallout: New Vegas and it instantly became one of my favorite games of all time! Also, I was listening to you talk about theoretical Fallout religions and I thought it would be hilarious if there was a cult based around the Energizer rabbit and how he runs eternally!

I love fallout. I started with Fallout 4 and worked my way to other titles. This podcast is awesome! so many things i missed along the way that were brought out in the podcast series. I started with resent episodes, but have now gone to the very first and running in order. I’ve learned so much from this, the background on so many topics and how everything is linked together. I cant wait for the next episode. Keep it coming your doing a fantastic job.

Phenomenal podcast really well done and researched

Fall of 2022 while working on a job site I decided to look up something to listen to and was curious to know if there were any fallout podcasts and then I saw the Fallout Lorecast and within 9 months spring of 2023 I had listened to every single episode that was uploaded. Just note that I would listen to it for 8hours. Tom or R0b0ts is an amazing host, I love the lore, love the patrons episodes at the end of each month. As of today I am on episode 190 of the elder scrolls Lorecast. I definitely would recommend this podcast 10/10

I started listening to this podcast regularly around a month ago and I couldn’t be more pleased. Each day on my way to and from work, I pop the Fallout Lorecast on. This pod gives me an outlet to occupy my often-racing brain, which can literally be a godsend some days. Tom is a FABULOUS speaker and I genuinely can not begin to fathom the amount of time and effort that goes into research, writing and recording for this bad boy.
