Love this Podcast
From one of my favorite Gouken players to one of my favorite podcasts/content creators. Very enjoyable to listen to!

Informative and funny
Love this podcast! Very in-depth current FGV related information. Catalyst and velociraptor gel very well together. I wish they had this more than once a week!

Street Fighter podcast, not a fighting game podcast
I really like these guys, very easy to listen to and they know their stuff. Unfortunately I started listening to them because the podcast is advertised as a fighting game podcast, and all they cover for the most part is Street Fighter. As a fighting game player who hasn’t played SF in years (Xbox user) it would have been awesome if they covered additional fighting games in more detail. However, they are really enjoyable and if you’re a big Street Fighter gamer you’re going to love it.

Big fan
Love the podcast. Theyre all street fighter players so i understand why they give it the focus but they do give spotlight to other games when needed which is great. Especially now that sfv is kinda calming down (lol). Makes commutes and office days better. Only thing is i wish they had a community emails/questions segment. Think it would add a lot to the show! Thanks boys!

Great way to keep the hype!
Love the podcast. The guys are knowledgeable and thoughtful with their opinions. There’s a focus on sfv which I love, but they touch on all games in the genre. Keep up the great work!

Excellent Fighting Game Podcast
This is the one podcast I look forward to every week. Jon and John manage to keep a Street Fighter focused podcast interesting, informative, and funny. Despite John's overuse of the phrase "and such" and Jon's overuse of the phrase "and whatnot", there's not much filler or wasted air here. I've subscribed to eventhubs.com because of this podcast and I hope they keep it going for some time to come. Love it!

Pretty engaging podcast.
First time watching one of your podcasts in full. Pretty certain with would be a nonissue, but I thought it took awhile though could vary depending on the topic. It was very good that you guys went straight through the point on all your topics. You all had pretty great reasoning on who you think will win on Capcom Cup 2018. Overall I enjoyed every minute of it. P.S. And for the SSBU, in case I have to, my EH username is Shinkuu_Kikoken and my Twitter is @burningkiken, in case you need a way to reach me.

FGC podcast
One of the best FGC podcast! Very good sound quality for sure. They do a recap within the FGC, talked about FGC and events. They always come up with interesting topic. Great podcast to listen while driving. Keep it up the great work.

They keep me in the loop and grinding
Edit: My twitter handle is @KeithJCarlson The content you guys post can be some of the most interesting, but the most digestible. That doesn’t mean it is base level or dumb, but that you guys use easy to understand lingo and it is thought in a way as to not alienate your listeners. John said something that stuck with me in the most recent pod, I don’t know the direct word as of this review but that it was akin to, the most important thing is to have fun. Winning is fun but also not feeling cheated out of a victory is also fun. That is so important to hear these days, especially in the fgc! Where winning can be the only thing that matter but learning from your losses can still be something fun and good! The pod is well paced and the discussions all feel well informed and come from a place of sincerity. I don’t get to read the website much anymore but the topics on the pod give me a great up to date synopsis of the weeks in the fgc. Stay awesome you guys! Small story: When i was younger I played a lot of fighting games, mainly mvc2 and guilty gear, but I stopped for no good reason. Once 2010 hit, I turned 20 and my desire for a new video game adventure took hold and I had the urge to play fighting games for the first time in years! I had no idea where to start, so I just googled fighting games and eventhubs was the first site that popped up! So I looked through it all and saw so much content and at the time sf4 was the game to play and so I decided to pick it up. Thanks to all the information, guides, tournament coverage, and even the variety of games covered I spread out and found new games, and new ways to play. Posts like stick buying guides and interviews were huge to me, it enabled me to understand the games, and how to approach fighting games from a more logical and informed way. To this day, it is still an autoloading webpage on my browser!

Great podcast for fighting games
The Eventhubs website has always been a great resource for fighting game news and this podcast does a great job of delving deeper on a lot of the important topics that aren't sometimes discussed on the website. Always a great listen if you're love hearing disucussions on fighting games.

Sorely needed
One of the few fighting game podcasts worth your time. As someone new to fighting games in general, these guys helped keep me from bouncing off the steep learning curve. Perfect!

Great job guys!
Regardless of the rashid hate, it is really nice to have the summary of FGC news on a frequent basis. Thanks for the quality podcast!

Check it out
I was first introduced to this podcast through an epic multi-hour breakdown of how they would change each SFV character for season four. It's served as a good place to expand my SFV knowledge when I need some sound piped into my ears.

Must listen
If you want FGC related content, look no further. This is easily one of my favorite things to listen to. The discussions are always deep and entertaining. I look forward to hearing many more episodes!

Review, Pros and Cons
In a short time the Eventhubs podcast has outgrown it's role as a companion piece to its namesake website and has grown into a standalone piece of media. Initially the podcast was an expanded conversation on current news articles, which implies that they are typically opinion neutral pieces that lead to an expanded discussion in the comments section of the site. In the show's development we have seen a blend of journalistic reporting along with personal opinions broken down between hosts John and Jon. The dynamic of these two works well as they each at times represent different aspects of fighitng game players in our modern landscape: mostly online due to real life vs competitor grinding it out, experienced veteran vs modern up and comer, a witness to the rise, fall, rise of fighting games and one that became more involved in the most recent ascension. The dialogue that comes from this presents facets rarely seen in just an ariticle on the website alone. The addition of Steven (another website contributor) in the larger round table discussions only multiplies the value of those particular episodes. The interviews that Jon has conducted have been rather well done and I have found them more enjoyable and to have a better flow than some delivered by other contemporary FGC interviewers. Overall it is an entertaining and informative listen for people that enjoy the Eventhubs site, podcasts about gaming news, or fans of fighting games. Still waiting on that mysterious Evo history story though... Pros: -They don't talk over each other. It is a discussion, not an arguement. -Credibility and Experience from the hosts that may provide insight to your own gaming -Great interviews -Even better roundtable discussions -Objectivity and passion (may be seen as salt on occasion) are both present in topics discussed -Expanded reasoning on WHY articles are written (a valid excuse vs "clickbait") -No comments section regulars or trolls Cons -Hosts Jon and John primarily play SFV at the time of this review. If you are not interested in SFV, this may not be for you. (As of time of this review) -Haven't heard from as many contributors of the website, yet. This of course means less in depth podcast coverage of other games that the hosts aren't currently playing. -Although speculation of the future is important, especially for news outlets, I personally think there have been a few too many mentions of SF6 as an idea. -No comments section regulars or trolls

Tune in if you are the real street fighter!
Honestly saying this podcast my first podcast in itune and now my daily routine to listen on my way to work. The presenter are very enthusiastic, informative, open and funny. This podcast cast where I get all the fighting game news and updates. They also have interviews from specific FGC members, so there are a lot know from those people perspective. Thank you for all the events updates and being our voice for capcom.

Great Cast - Good Consistency
Like a delicous roast, the topics on this podcast are baked to perfection with all the fixings. Take a hot seat at the Fighting Game Community table, pour a fine glass of wine, take the salt shaker and remove it from the table. You're about to sink your teeth into a juicy piece of what people in this community want you to hear , and from the voices of a team that has been supporting it for countless years. Don't worry about counting carbs here, it's time to eat damnit and the gettings god!

Exactly what I need to get my fix of SFV and other FGC news. Really liked the longer analysis-like episode talking about season 4.

Best FGC podcast I listen to!
These 2 definitely know how to do a podcast. I listen to “Best of 5”, Street Fighter Radio, and another one I can’t remember. This one is produced the best. Topics are always interesting and on point. I never get bored with listening to them talk. Sound is always perfect, unless you’re trying to mic, Mike Ross. That dude needed to speak the F up! Anyways, perfectly produced FGC show, and this is coming from someone who listens to The Howard Stern Show daily!

Focused (attack?) Podcast
I appreciate a focused podcast! I’m not great at Street Fighter but I’ve always loved head to head games and competition. Love the discussion and break downs of patch updates. Keep it up!

A great listen
Fighting game podcasts that consistently put out content every week seem to be hard to come by but event hubs has been busting out great episodes on the reg and i appreciate the work. Entertaining and informative.

One stop FGC spot
Podcasts are hard to get right, especially with a subject like fighting games. The technicals can get long winded and it's sometimes hard to recommend to other people. But the guys and Event Hubs make it easy for me to get my friends and classmates to check out fighting games. Keep up the good work, see you next week.

Listener since day one!
Hey Jons and the event hubs team! I have wanted to do my own podcast about FGC news for a long time with friends but never got around to it. So finding out you guys were starting one was awesome news. I actually promote your stories and news via my work’s internal newsletter with what I call “FGC Minute”! It’s very quick hits but my coworkers and friends enjoy it. Suffice it to say I am a long time fan of your site and content and listen to every podcast as they release. Thanks so much for your hard work and if I can find you I will likely introduce myself at EVO 2019! Keep it up! - KC (Kaker)

I always wanted a podcast related to fighting games and my wish came true. I also want to win the panthers fight stick :-)

Thoughtful and polished
Pretty new to the podcast, but a few episodes in I’m pretty impressed. While sparse on production, the hosts are articulate and present thoughtful opinions. They’re pleasant to listen to, have decent chemistry, and they’ve had some interesting interviews. There are some other FGC podcasts that I like, but they aren’t always presented in a well-prepared fashion — not the case with EventHubs.

Great Street Fighter Podcast Very Good FGC Podcast
I really like this podcasts. The presenters are very knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about the FGC. I love that they get into the nitty gritty technical details and some of my favorite podcasts have been about surprising topics. (How Corporate Changes at Capcom affect the FGC). The only caveat is that this podcast is heavily focused on street fighter. So it’s something to be aware of if that is not your game of your choice.

Great balance
I don't actively play fighting games(although the itch is coming back the more I listen), but this podcast is still the first one I listen to when I sync. The Jo(h)n's do a great job splitting time between discussing actual gameplay vs results vs news about the FGC.

Good Content
When I get an itch for info regarding fighting games or need to look up character specific information I always go to their website, EventHubs.com . Lately I have been looking for a FG related podcasts and to my satisfaction a group of people that do their best to bring up to date information to the masses provides one. Thanks guys/gals, keep it up!

Like the Website, but with the Miracle of Sound
Are you the type of person to log-in to Eventhubs daily, maybe have it set as your homepage even because new character announcements are more important to you then actual social interaction? Have you ever experienced the dread of not having the time to read it? Download the Eventhubs Podcast so that you can enjoy the premier fgc website at any time! Just like the website it comes packed with recent and relevant fgc discussion from 2 Johns and appearances from special guests or other editors. Just like the website they discuss news and rumors but with the convenience of not needing to use your eyes to decide what kind of troll-ish comment you'll leave on it! Comes with a full helping of MvC rumors that seem to never end. Also tune in for the bonus segment: One man's tumultuous relationship with Necalli and his unwillingness to pick up a new character despite the roller-coaster romance with the caveman.Thrills, Drama and the other John groaning a lot, you don't want to miss it!

Easily one of the FGC podcast on the market
I been part of Eventhub community for years and enjoy the podcast. They go in depth on topics and is funny. Worth a listen if you are into fighting games.

Genuine Thank You
I’ve been reading the site since it started and more or less dethroned SRK as the best news site for the FGC. I’ve been registered on there since March 9, 2010. I met local players using the player tracker and helped propel me into the competitive scene. Anyways, the content has always been great, and given me something to browse daily. The podcast continues this tradition in a new, digestible manner. Thanks Catalyst, Velociraptor, Dream King and the rest of the awesome writers. Side note- loved watching your Gouken, Velociraptor, since before you started writing for the site. Please keep up the great podcast and writing!!

Great Insight
I enjoy listening to the Johns insight and discussions. I’m not a SF player but I feel what they talk about helps me to think about how I play and practice fighting games I enjoy playing in a different light to help me improve. I’ve been listening every week since I discovered this great podcast.
